H. E. Ruhullah Qaharmani, Iran Ambassador hosted a reception at Al Sabah, Hotel Marina on Wednesday 15th February, 2012 to mark national day of Iran. He had been the longest serving speaker and occupied the chair till December 2011 when Amir dissolved the assembly and very surprisingly he did not contest elections held on 2nd February otherwise he must have been elected and quite naturally he must have continued as speaker.
