What to do-jump in fire or sea?

American military has now decided point blank that not even single US personnel will be held accountable and charged for Salah incident which happened in November, 2011 killing our 24 military men in just one go. Earlier Americans said that not just Americans but both American and Pakistani military men were jointly responsible for the incident but now they have changed their stance. NATO supplies routed through Pakistan were stopped by our authorities in reaction the said sad incident which was commended by the general public.

USA is putting extreme pressure on us to reopen the route and the government has referred the matter to a committee of national assembly to decide it either in affirmation or negation as the case may be. However, Tehrike-Taleban of Pakistan (TTP) has announced that if our national assembly approves the resumption of NATO supplies route then they will kill those parliamentarians who voted for re opening the route. TTP is believed to be a faction of Taleban once led by late Osama Bin Laden. Maulana Fazal ur Rehman, Chief of JUI has said that he will resist if NATO supplies route is restored. Luckily, JUI is an ally of the government which means that government is facing opposition not only from TTP nut JUI as well whereas USA is pressing hard in any case for reopening the route.

It looks like that since USA military has said categorical no to own any role and responsibility towards killing of our service men in Slala it will demand us to re-open NATO supplies route or face some adversities while on the other hand Pakistan public in general and opposition in particular will not allow the government to tilt towards USA.

Should we annoy USA which is not that friendly with us in any case or face public revolt instead? What is better-fire or sea or even both?
