A lot of people would agree that AAZ made a mistake asking Aitezaz Ahsan to speak especially after he abruptly ended his controversial address at Naudero. Taking advantage of the occasion Aitezaz Ahsan knowingly or unknowingly attacked AAZ on two counts in his lawyerly style of oratory flow. He isolating AAZ from the mission which BB took when she left Abu Dhabi and then damped AAZ's claim of comp

The electronic media in Pakistan built rapidly from one TV channel in 2006 to about 40 in 2011. In this rapid progress the TV talk shows became the focus of public interest surpassing entertainment programs. The fast growth did not give time to the proprietors of the channels to train the TV anchors professionally in the race of ratings and financial gains. As a result today we find three types of

It is a serious cognitive condition which is chronic in progression and usually irreversible in nature. It affects areas related to memory, attention, language and problem solving; the outlook of which depends on the cause. For

When President Asif Zardari gives audience at the President House, he let the dignitary take the chair on his left side. This protocol was reversed in one-on-one meeting with Gen Kayani. He let the army chief sit where he usually sits. The picture of Benazir Bhutto on the side-table did not point to the negative of the photograph being reversed by mistake. The death of OBL added another scepticism about the man whose whole life spiralled around sceptic stories. Someone rightly said 'all information about bin Laden should be treated with a healthy dose of scepticism'. Even President Obama gave it a sceptic touch when he used the term 'remains' instead of 'body' in his news breaking announcement when he said 'the military took custody of his remains'.

According to a news report, the chair of the PM at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) buckled under his weight creating an embarrassing situation for all. The management should have known that Yusaf Raza Gilani does not weigh what he used to before he took the coveted post. Masha'Allah, as prime minister he has put on a lot of weight; thanks to the 'high calories support' he

Army has played two important roles in the history of Pakistan; a unified disciplined force; and a strong politicised unit. America accepted both roles from early 1950s. Within a few years, the army created a strong liaison with its American counterpart and the political elite based on its professional capabilities. The politicians, on other hand, did not build such a bond and the relationship
