Democracy Vs. Capitalist Democracy
Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan has identified some of the problems of Western style democracy in countries like Pakistan quite accurately. However, Western democracy is failing within the West itself, more than anywhere else, in the US, the most boastful and arrogant of the so-called "democracies". Such "democracies" have been nightmares for tens of millions of their own citizens as well as for billions in other countries. Now they are gripped in a prolonged and structural all-round economic, social, cultural, and environmental crises.
Also, one must not confuse capitalist democracy with democracy in general, as it leads to a plethora of intellectual blunders.
I propose that Dr. Khan should form a new political party, as all the others are corrupt to the core and a person like him should not contaminate himself by joining any of them. If he forms one, I would be first to join.
