Immense problems need specific and concrete solutions
The demand for Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan's leadership and formation of a new political party, to get the country out of this worst all-round crisis in its history, should come from all the sincere intellectuals as well as the masses of Pakistan. However, any new leadership will face immense problems, left over by successions of corrupt and rotten governments, the worst being the loss of sovereignty; subservience to Western imperialism; dependence; huge foreign debt; high unemployment and poverty; vast military, police, and civilian bureaucracy-inefficient and corrupt to the core-;and widespread corruption and hypocrisy in the society at large etc. etc. He cannot count on the sincerity or effectiveness of many of the people he mentioned in his article. Most of them are limited by their upper class backgrounds and prejudices. Even Imran Khan has those limitations. Even though, he himself is a sincere and honest person, he is surrounded by opportunists and bourgeois and petty bourgeois party leaders of all kinds, who he himself has elevated into decisive positions in his party.
It is not enough to list and criticize the various problems of the crisis and deficiencies and flaws of the current leadership. It is important to identify and explain the specific and concrete solutions and proposals for resolving these problems. I am currently working on a brief outline of these.
