Professor Riffat has hit all the nails on the heads in this beautifully written brief
Urdu article, in which the analogy of her childhood experiences with the ever crueler and cruder teachers, with the ever more corrupt, hypocritical, and incompetent political leaders in Pakistan has been made very meaningfully and relevantly. The quality of her unique literary style greatly enhances the effects of truth and facts of her analysis. When I was living in Brazil during the 1970s, the politico-economic situation was more or less similar to Pakistan. I used to say" Nao tem solucao sem revolucao" Poruguese, meaning there is no solution except the revolution. Professor Riffat also seems to have arrived at a similar conclusion about Pakistan.
