Formal Wear
 On formal occasions coat buttons
are to be buttoned up while standing or walking outdoors as well as indoors but
can be undone while seating whether indoors or outdoors. The protocol
officer or the Military Secretary must ‘educate’ the uninitiated in such small
matters of etiquette if the gentleman himself is unaware of it. The best
would be to appear on all such formal occasions in the national dress that is;
black Sherwani during the winters and the white one in the summers.
