The only way to rescue Pakistan

Pakistan is a state that almost has no friends but the number of its enemies is very high. Although Pakistan is yet not a declared failed state, the internal and external situation is pushing it to the marsh of failure. The very integrity of the country is facing serious threats from the fragile political situation. The eastern and western frontiers of the country are insecure and its control over air, ground and seas has weakened. The economic situation is so much worrisome that 95 per cent of country population, reeling under the extreme poverty, is ready for a rebellion or revolution. Even if it is accepted as a truth that Pakistan is a strong military power, it is also crystal clear that the military power cannot be benefited because of extremely weak economic position.
Here a question arises as to how long Pakistan will be able to exist on the world map in this situation. If no external power challenges the integrity and security of the country, even then how long 170 million people will not cross the limits of tolerance in the face of abject poverty, growing inflation, rampant corruption, abundance of traitors, polarised political system and above all in the presence of an archrival like India and a highly hypocrite friend like the United States.
The Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan issues are the biggest problem of Pakistan. The two issues have afflicted the country for the past 61 years to such an extent that it has been turning into a weaker state with the every passing day.
The tonics that are being used for remedy of this affliction have badly failed in curing the disease. The time has proved that Pakistan has no independence in utilising its defence capabilities despite possessing nuclear weapons and having a strong missile system. Caught in the clutches of world powers, Pakistan is weaker than the Palestinian groups that at least fire rockets on Israel.
If the issues of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are settled, with new positive change in the region Pakistan can achieve all development goals in mere a few years while it can also do away with the obsession of and need for military preparedness and increase in the defence capability. This way, the tarnished image of the country at the global level will also improve and it will stand tall in the comity of nations. Moreover, the bond of Pakistan with the Islamic countries, which now desist from cooperation considering it a dangerous country, can also be strengthened immensely. Most of the Islamic countries are not extending economic cooperation to Pakistan under the US pressure while the country is also deprived of diplomatic support from them in the global politics.
Pakistan is hero of the whole Islamic world but it is unable to play the role of a hero, dashing the hopes of around 1.5 billion Muslims. The so-called state of Israel also came into existence almost along with Pakistan but people often visit Europe know it very well that all European countries and the US are jointly strengthening the Israeli economy. All vegetables and fruit, milk, cheese and butter, etc, available in London are imported from Israel. As compared to this, the Arab states and other non-agricultural Islamic countries import goods from India. In fact, the weakness of Pakistan has weakened all the Islamic countries. Pakistan fails to get required support in voting on most of the resolutions in the United Nations. The only way to overcome this situation is linked with the settlement of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan issues at the earliest.
It is a fact that Pakistan cannot settle the two issues in accordance with its wishes because India is not ready to give even an inch of the occupied territory whereas Pakistan is also sticking to its stance. The negative impact of this stance is that India is ready to abide by every dictation of the US and other world powers that affords it an opportunity to harm Pakistan whereas Islamabad is also following every reasonable or unreasonable directive of the US. This is the reason that Pakistan not only accepted the US bombing and occupation of Afghanistan, the nearest friendly, Islamic country, but also provided all resources to facilitate the US invasion. The US spy planes are now daily violating the Pakistani airspace and firing missiles on innocent people but Islamabad is unable to stop the US aggression. After the settlement of the Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan issues, nobody will be able to even imagine of launch such attacks on a united and strong Pakistan.
