Why and how each time we lowered ourselves?

This is not only very shocking but as too humiliating as well for me at least if not for Pakistan government and you to be honest. I am referring to the news which is flashed today saying that yesterday Thursday 26^th April, 2012 there was a meeting held in Islamabad by and between the officials of Pakistan and that of USA to talk about different issues which directly influence the relations between the two sovereign and independent countries. The details are that USA group was led by Marc Grossman, USA Envoy for Pakistan and Afghanistan whereas my beloved Pakistan team was headed by Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar.

On the very face of it we have ridiculed ourselves provided we realize but very much regretfully I will have to pen like before that none realizes  the fact and it had happened in past also. Order of Precedence which is reckoned globally including USA very much stipulates that the discussions and meetings should be held at par and not otherwise. In this case I wonder and ponder that why our Foreign Minister stooped down low and headed our team to discuss the matter with none but USA Envoy? To the best of knowledge and belief USA Enovy Marc must have not been even equal to our Foreign Secretary status what talk of our Foreign Minister. I do not have any 1^st hand information nor I have any sources, resources or authority to get the information but nevertheless I can say with conviction that Marcos must have boasted amongst his circle if not bosses that he being a junior elevated himself to lead his team which discussed various points with the group headed by none but Foreign Minister of Pakistan.

Relying upon this precedence shouldn’t I very convincingly deduce and construe that we will have no option but to nominate none but our Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani to head our team as and when Hillary Diane Rodhan Clinton, State Secretary will be leading American group and likewise our President Asif Ali Zardari along with his team will be face to face to meet American group when the same is led by Joe Biden, American Vice President. I am really very much pained to be honest to pen that such like practices have been regularly noticed from day one and not only during the tenure of President Zardari but hardly anyone has taken cognizance of the same.
