What is the problem with Pakistan ? Nay, what are the problems with Pakistan ? There are series of problems; one is bigger than the other. But for now, the problem that is more problematic, and making me sleepless, is the moral dishonesty of the who's who of Pakistan, and also little lesser ones, who do not talk straight, who do not tell truth and who always talk on some 'maslehat', and with funky and twisted logic, only to further his/her, his/her bosses', and his/her party's blotted ego, or irrational stances (in which there always might be some mafia interest).

This 'talk on the basis of maslehat' problem came banging on me when last night, in an interview with Dr. Shahid Masood of Geo TV, the big brain of Pakistan Mr. Hussain Haqqani explaining the reason why his equally big, or more than that, brainer boss Mr. Asif Ali Zardari was taking contemplatative and quality time in 'restoring' the deposed judges.

He explained: the restoration of judges would create conflict between the institutions. How? Will there be conflict between judiciary and parliament, was the inquisitive question from Dr. Shahid Masood. No, went on the philosophical sounding and thoughtful looking Mr. Haqqani, the clash would be between the two sets judges, one would be the restored one and the other would be sitting one. If the sitting ones did not leave the place for the restored ones, then who would be going to handle the situation? Only for this reason his highly sagacious party boss was so much cautious about the restoration of the judges. With his gesture and body language, the big brainer Mr. Haqqani was the first, or probably the only person, who had very rightly explained the philosophy of his boss, and also snubbed and advised Dr. Shahood Masood to explain his boss's stand in that very light. Dr. Shahid was obviously speechless and nodded his head in affirmative.

Now, the thing is if Mr. Haqqani believed in his heart of hearts what he explained, or was it merely his spinning the matter as an obedient spinmeister.

It was clearly his spinning the matter, and here lies his dishonesty, like many big ones in Pakistan .

The simple, and the small, fact is that, when the judges having genuineness, constitutional strength and strong moral support from across the country could not hold on to their seats, and could not turn a single leaf of their duties against unpopular and illegal executive order, then how the illegal judges, having no public sympathy, no moral support from the ground can hold on to their positions, if they are sent back to their previous places and positions on the great and roaring public demand? Consideration of the clinging on to their present positions by the illegal judges on their own (and of course without help from the establishment of musharraf) as a complex issue is totally beyond me. Is this not a simple and pure downplaying of sensibility, sensitivity, intelligence of common people by those who have the capacity to think, act, guide and mould the nation? Is this not moral and mental dishonesty, fraud and a criminal act?

Will Mr. Haqqani clarify anywhere, if tomorrow America and musharraf want the reversal of 3rd November 2007 action of the then government for any reason, or Zardari finds that there won't be any threat from the Right Judges against his NRO, and Zardari true to his nature obligingly facilitates the restoration, then what would be his spinning explanation of such action to the people?

When musharraf and his establishment did immoral, illogical, unconstitutional acts, these were simply imposed on the people. Now when the people anyhow mastered the voice to protest against those immoral acts, and cry high for getting rid of them in the same way these were imposed, then why some people are so concerned for the results or repercussions? No logic, but for working for the anti-people establishments, and also for the foreign masters.
