True Identity of Ajmal Kasab by Usman Khalid
Posted By: Usman_Khalid On: 30/Nov/2012 Views:1557 Replies:0
We in Pakistan have serious doubts about the identity of Ajmal Kasab. His picture shown on TV before he was arrested showed him to be wearing a wrist band which is worn by a certain segment of extremist Hindus. The only time I saw him speaking on TV his accent was not Punjabi of any area of the Punjab. He was probably from South India. Moreover, the team of lawyers sent by Pakistan to see Ajmal Click here to read Full Article

Military Intervention Appears Inevitable Again by Usman Khalid
Posted By: Usman_Khalid On: 29/Nov/2012 Views:1538 Replies:0
The first military intervention took place in Pakistan in 1958. At that time, the 1956 Constitution has been passed by the Constituent Assembly and the first general elections were expected soon. But there was anxiety about the consequence of elections because the Muslim League had been resoundingly beaten in provincial elections in East Pakistan by Jugtu Front led by Maulvi Fazal ul Haq. America’s Failed Palestinian Policy by Yousef Munayyer

The Israeli invasion of Gaza stopped short of troops entering the strip. The last time they invaded they sent in troops, killed 1400 Palestinians and caused total destruction of infrastructure. There is not much left to destroy; there is a limit to wanton killing of women and children; that limit has been reached just as it has been in Iraq and Afghanistan. This is a new kind of asymmetrical war; Click here to read Full Article

We all know about Hizb ul Tahrir (HuT). When its leader in the UK - Omar Bakri - became a destabilising nuisance, he was advised to disassociate himself with HuT and he set up another organisation under the title of “Al-Muhjiroon”. This was a successor of Al Takfir val Hijra commonly known as the Takfiri cult. This cult styles itself on the most glorious chapter of Muslim History – the Hijra from Click here to read Full Article
Alan Hart on Obama’s Second Term by Alan Hart

I agree with Alan Hart that President Obama may well try to deserve the Nobel Peace Prize he has already been awarded. But it will take more than a balanced approach to the Middle East. President Obama would have to commit the US to becoming a force of peace and stability in all parts of the world like it was in the Presidency of Eisenhover. He would have to distance himself from the last survivin Click here to read Full Article

Samiullah Malik interviewing Brigadier ® Usman Khalid on the impact of SC judgment in Asghar Khan Case. The SC verdict is being debated widely but subjectively in the Pakistani media. Here is a view of the mainstream without party political bias. The conclusion is that the media emphasis will play an important role.
