All US Administrations since the 1967 Arab Israeli war have supported Israel in every excess it has committed in the Middle East. Why is it surprising that the Arab people see the USA as the enemy? As if that was not bad enough, the USA installed and sustained unpopular despots as their rulers. The support given by the US to Arab Spring was seen as an attempt to bring democracy and to address the Click here to read Full Article

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, at long last, met the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. After having failed to get him to attend his inauguration as PM and being spurned in his desire to visit India even without an invitation that must be viewed as a success. Afghanistan: The War after the War by Anatol Lieven

I was posted in Bannu in 1970 when a lady doctor was abducted and taken to South Waziristan. The response of the military was a warning to target villages followed by aerial bombing of those who had harboured fugitives. It was not known who had abducted the lady doctor but it was well known who harboured fugitives. No statement was issued by the military or the Governor of NWFP. Analysis of Admiral Tahir is appended below. The latest demand by the Chief Fugitive of Pakistan is to demand more provinces. In the past he opposed the Kalabagh Dam and recommended SIX POINT level of provincial autonomy vide the 18th Amendment. He succeeded on both occasions. His demands are drafted by Indian RAW as was the case with Sheikh Mujib. Usman Khalid Click here to read Full Article
