ISI officials are spreading terror to harass Europeans.

A senior official of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence agency, or ISI, told The Associated Press that there are believed to be "several dozen" people with European citizenship - many of Pakistani origin - among the Islamic extremists operating in the lawless border area.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not supposed to talk about classified information to the media, said foreigners in the area also include Chechens, Uzbeks, Arabs and Turks, one of whom was a former F-16 pilot in the Turkish air force.

Everybody knows goal and targets of ISI and methods of their making money to harass Westerners. Gradually ISI is trying to criminalize Pakistani’s living overseas and made them suspicious in the eyes of entire world. It is duty of GHQ to single out those ISI officials that are spreading rumors and creating tremors against Pakistan. Question is why ISI officials did not talk on any credible threat. Mostly innocent, very poor, Pushtoon ethnic or peoples which have no backing are targeted.

Afghan war and long presence of NATO/ISAF at Afghanistan is a lottery for Pakistan army and its generals are making billions to befool Americans. Within last seven years from Peshawar to Karachi a chain of defense housings is evidence that military officials are making properties and buying lands for long time investments.

From all big cities of Pakistan towards border to India in red zones construction of cantonments, defense housings and buying properties on gun point shows that military officials have secretly made deal with India and hysteria shown against India is a propaganda to suck 80% budget of Pakistan and by hook by crook suck all foreign aid.

ISI officials are liars and no citizen can enter from any of Pakistani airports without proper documentation and usually more than passengers the strength of two dozen different security intelligence agencies is for higher and visible on air ports. Urban areas where main Pakistani air ports are situated represent a situation that security agencies are seen sniffing like dog door to door in search and it is not possible that anyone may land on airport and its record would not have to be under vigilance. Particularly foreigners mean foreign nationals of Pakistan origin have to be passing through computerized passport scanners. Whereas as alleged that 100 persons having foreign passports crossed in is impossible to enter in Pakistan.

Pakistan army always try to feed media that Uzbek, Chechens, Chinese and Afghans are present in Pakistan, in every battle number of foreigners is a routine by saying killed by army or drones. But army never had shown a single dead body to media. There are Afghan refugees and faces of some Afghans might have resemblance with peoples belonging to areas north of Afghanistan, like Hazaras and Gilgit citizens are visibly different from over all features of Pakistani’s.

The total strength of peoples of Pakistan who are living in war zone or under war like situation are not less than 25 million including FATA areas, semi tribal areas, urban areas adjacent to war zones and the areas affected is stretched to above 1600 KM in length and average 100 KM in depth.  Such a high number of populations are victim of barbarism of not only Pakistan army but NATO/ISAF is also killing citizens on regular basis. Peoples of those areas whether like or not like Taliban but everyday unjust killings to civilians is producing revenge seekers and destroying their homes on regular basis are also throwing peoples on streets. So whether anyone may call them terrorists, Taliban or Jihadi, but their strength is rapidly increasing day by day with the population of revenge seekers or peoples thrown on streets by torching homes by army or destroyed in drone attacks. All of above peoples are not ethnically Pushtoon but peoples speaking Baluchi, Saraiki, Sindhi and Punjabi are also victim of war of terror within above circle.

Concentration of building defense housings is normally towards borders of India and not a single colony is over 100 KM from Indian border. Beneficiaries of war of terror are exclusively Punjabi army, so right from Kamra going towards south at least 600-700 KM area is occupied by army officials with intervals to construct defense housings. Such as defense housing of Lahore is expanding towards India borders and properties constructed are worth multi-billion dollars. From Wah to Kharian entire area including Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Gujar Khan and Jhelum is composed of defense housing in a chain.

Individual cases would likely be there but purposely panic created by any ISI official is based on some hate or making money.

There are certain Western reporters who fabricate stories by naming anonymous ISI officials. ISPR must check such stories and clarification must be issued on regular basis. Dilemma of Pakistan Government is anti-Pakistan role of corrupt ambassadors sitting at Washington, New York and London. Such anti-Pakistan ambassadors are also a cause of headache. Husain Haqqani is in US to protect loot of Zardari and his father in law M H Isfahani, moreover billion dollar properties of Farahnaz Isfahani not declared in her income tax returns in Pakistan.

Pakistan army must realize that by defaming its own citizens ultimately would rebound in near future and by opening many fronts against civilians nationally and internationally simultaneously would be a repeat of East Pakistan episode. We would appreciate ISI if it would capture real terrorists, register cases in civil courts and support prosecution in lawful manner under prevailing laws. Unfortunately Pakistan army has failed to produce any terrorist in civil court, and a few peoples arrested were not terrorists at all and courts let them free. Pakistan army must start from its home to obey laws and respect judiciary, illegal detentions and imprisonments,  target killings and teaching lessons to Umar Cheema type poor journalists is a precedence for others to take in their hands.

Pakistan: Dozens of Europeans in terror training

Muslim militants are believed to be preparing for attacks on Western capitals

By KATHY GANNON, Associated Press

The Associated Pres03-10-10

Dozens of Muslim militants with European citizenship are believed to be hiding out in the lawless tribal area of northwestern Pakistan, Pakistani and Western intelligence officials say, training for missions that could include terror attacks in European capitals.

Officials have used phone intercepts and voice tracking software to track militants with ties to Britain and other European countries to areas along the Afghan border. Al-Qaida would likely turn to such extremists for a European plot because they can move freely in and out of Western cities.

Britain's communications monitoring agency, the Government Communications Headquarters or GCHQ, estimates there are as many as 20 British-born militants in the border area, especially in the North Waziristan district that has been the focus of recent missile strikes carried out by unmanned aircraft operated by the CIA.

Mobile phone communications have been tracked from the border area to points in Britain, particularly England's Midlands, where there is a heavy Pakistani immigrant population, according to a British government official who spoke on condition of anonymity because the terrors plot investigation is ongoing.

Voice-printing software enables British intelligence to identify and track specific individuals believed connected to terror plots, he said.

In addition, a spokeswoman with Germany's Federal Criminal Police Office said last week that there is "concrete evidence" that 70 people have traveled from Germany to Pakistan and Afghanistan for paramilitary training, and that about a third of them have returned to Germany.

During an operation last year, Pakistani soldiers discovered a passport in the name of Said Bahaji, which matches the name of a member of the Hamburg, Germany, cell that conceived the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in the United States. Bahaji is believed to have fled Germany shortly before the attacks in New York and Washington.

A Spanish passport found by the Pakistani military during the same operation bore the name of Raquel Burgos Garcia. Spanish media reported that a woman with the same name was married to Amer Azizi, an alleged al-Qaida member from Morocco suspected in both the 9/11 attacks and the Madrid train bombings in 2004.

Concern over the pool of Europeans capable of carrying out attacks abroad rose about a month ago when U.S. intelligence heard of a European plot and began monitoring the people involved, according to two U.S. officials. The CIA recently stepped up airstrikes from unmanned aircraft in northwestern Pakistan, in part to disrupt the plot. In September there were at least 21 attacks - more than double the highest number fired in any other single month.

A Pakistani official said some information about the plot came from a suspect who had been interrogated at the military prison at Bagram Air Field north of Kabul, the main U.S. and NATO base in Afghanistan. A U.S. official identified him as Ahmed Siddiqui, a German citizen of Afghan origin who was captured in Afghanistan in July.

The plot apparently called for several gunmen to fan out across Germany, Britain and France in hopes of launching attacks similar not only to the Mumbai assault but also to so-called "swarm attacks" that extremists have mounted in Kabul and other Afghan cities. The tactic calls for small teams with automatic rifles, grenade launchers and suicide vests to strike simultaneously at several targets in a city and cause as much havoc as possible before they can be killed or captured.

Reports of the alleged plot again cast the spotlight on the Pakistani district of North Waziristan, where Washington believes al-Qaida and its allies plan attacks against U.S.-led forces in Afghanistan as well as targets abroad.

Although the Pakistani military has mounted ground operations elsewhere in the border region, it has been reluctant to do so in North Waziristan, saying its forces are stretched too thin. Some within Pakistan's military and intelligence establishment privately say an escalation in drone attacks in North Waziristan and recent cross-border incursions by NATO helicopter gunships are aimed at forcing the army into an operation.

However, the incursions have frayed relations between Pakistan and the U.S. and NATO. Pakistan has blocked its main border crossing to NATO supply trucks for the past four days in response to alleged incursions last week by NATO helicopters, including firing that shot dead three Pakistani paramilitary soldiers who had fired warning shots at the choppers

Reply:   Pakistan is digging its own Grave?

Friday, 30 July 2010 20:15
WASHINGTON: Pakistan’s obsession with India is leading it to “dig its own grave” as the ISI’s “destructive role” now stands exposed in the wake of the revelations by classified intelligence documents, a leading US lawmaker has said. “The ISI’s attempt to distinguish good from bad militants will spin out of control. With its obsession with India, Pakistan is digging its own grave,”
Congressman Ed Royce said in the wake of WikiLeaks revelations. “I’ve been speaking about the destructive role of Pakistan’s ISI for many, many years. I’ve read this headline before,” Royce, Co-Chair of the Congressional Caucus on India and Indian Americans, said when asked about the WikiLeaks leakage which revealed that ISI continues to help and assist al-Qaeda and the Taliban. Reacting to the WikiLeaks posting of more than 92,000 classified documents on the war in Afghanistan, several Congressmen condemned the release of such secret documents but expressed concern over the continued links between ISI and the Taliban and al-Qaeda. “These leaked documents, while troubling, appear to support what I was asserting for years: the war in Afghanistan was not going well, and we needed a real strategy for success,” Senator Ike Skelton, Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said. “These leaked reports pre-date our new strategy in Afghanistan and should not be used as a measure of success or a determining factor in our continued mission there,” he said. The publication of highly-classified documents was deeply troubling and a serious breach of national security, Senator John McCain said, adding the source of the leak within the US government should face the full penalties of the law. “Some of these documents reinforce a longstanding concern of mine about the supporting role of some Pakistani officials in the Afghan insurgency,” Senator Carl Levin said. Levin said he and Senator Jack Reed, during their recent visit to Islamabad, had strongly urged officials to take forceful action against militant networks using Pakistan as a base to attack Afghanistan and American troops.
“The materials – which cover the period from 2004 to 2009 – reflect the reality, recognised by everyone, that the insurgency was gaining momentum during these years while our coalition was losing ground,” Senator Joe Lieberman said in a statement.

Pakistan accuses the White House of exaggerating Al Qaeda terror threat

By Daily Mail Reporter, 8th October 2010

The U.S. has been accused by a top Pakistani diplomat of exaggerating the terror threat from Al Qaeda for political ends.

Intelligence officials also suggested the White House has tried to 'stitch together' rumors of attacks to ramp up security fears.

The U.S. warned last weekend of an increased risk of terrorist attacks in Europe and possibly an assault on transport infrastructure. Security agents in Britain, France and Germany also warned Al Qaeda terrorists were planning a Mumbai-style atrocity in Europe. Britain raised the terrorism alert level in its advice from travelers to Germany and France to 'high' from 'general' but the home level was kept at 'severe'.

France also issued an extreme warning, claiming an attack in Britain was 'very likely' - particularly in top tourist sites such asTrafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus or London transport.

But Wajid Shamsul Hasan, Pakistan's high commissioner to Britain, claims the U.S. warning was a bid to justify drone attacks in his country.

And he also raised the prospect Washington was trying to show its strength ahead of next month's mid-term congressinal elections. Mr Hasan told the Guardian: 'I will not deny the fact that there may be internal political dynamics, including the forthcoming midterm American elections.

'If the Americans have definite information about terrorists and Al Qaeda people, we should be provided that and we could go after them ourselves. 'Such reports are a mixture of frustration, ineptitude and lack of appreciation of ground realities.'

European intelligence experts have also questioned the likelihood of a co-ordinate plot targeting Britain, France and Germany. 'To stitch together [the terror plot claims] in a seamless narrative is nonsensical,' one source told the paper.

A British man, who had been tasked with leading an Al Qaeda group in the UK and others were killed by a U.S. drone strike in Pakistan on September 8. They had been heard talking about a 'commando-style' attack on prominent European sites.
Intelligence (ISI) sources admit Jihadi recruits are travelling to Pakistan to train but insist the plan was nowhere near being put into action.

This nuance would put a very different slant on U.S. drone attacks because it would mean they are not actually being unleashed to tackle an imminent threat. The European officials told the Guardian that Washington was the 'driver' behind the leaking of possible plots, which intelligence agencies had been aware of for months.

Mr Hasan claims fears are growing in Pakistan that the U.S. could bolster its drone attacks with a bombing campaign using fixed-wing aircraft. He warned increasing anger could spill over into violence aimed at the thousands of American who are currently stationed in his country.

Fears of a Mumbai-style plot were sparked after Ahmad Sidiqi, an Afghan informant said to have known 9/11 mastermind Mohammed Atta, told U.S. interrogators about the plot.
Sidiqi said Ilyas Kashmiri, an Al Qaeda commander linked to the 2008 attacks in Mumbai in India that left 174 people dead, had told him that teams had already been sent to Europe to launch similar assaults.

A spate of attacks by militants and warnings about the increasing strength of Islamic extremism have ramped up fears there could be a new strike.

Tony Blair, now a Middle East envoy, recently warned that the West is being 'outspent and outmanoeuvred by Islamic extremists'.

Predator Drones: Bin Laden’s best friends

Bruce Fein, 01-10-2010

As Obama has escalated drone strikes abroad to more than 70 this year, our fortunes have predictably plummeted. For each authentic enemy of the United States killed by predator drones, more enemies are born. The colloquy of convicted Times Square car bomber Faisal Shahzad with United States District Judge Miriam Cederbaum speaks volumes.

She challenged Shahzad's self-description as a Muslim soldier because his contemplated violence targeted civilians, "Did you look around to see who they were?"

"Well, the people select the government," Shahzad retorted. "We consider them all the same. The drones, when they hit ..."

Cedarbaum interrupted: "Including the children?"

Shahzad countered: "Well, the drone hits in Afghanistan and Iraq, they don't see children, they don't see anybody. They kill women, children, they kill everybody. It's a war, and in war, they kill people. They're killing all Muslims."

Later, he added: "I am part of the answer to the U.S. terrorizing the Muslim nations and the Muslim people. And, on behalf of that, I'm avenging the attack. Living in the United States, Americans only care about their own people, but they don't care about the people elsewhere in the world when they die."

The United States should have anticipated the predator drone blow-back. The 1770 Boston Massacre occasioned but five American deaths, but engendered colonial hatred of the British that cascaded throughout the colonies. Thomas Paine's heralded pamphlet Common Sense, a figurative battering ram for the colonists during the Revolutionary War, scorned reconciliation with Britain after their scorched earth warfare:

The Men of passive tempers look somewhat lightly over the offenses of Britain, and, still hoping for the best, are apt to call out, 'Come, come, we shall be friends again, for all this.' But examine the passion and feelings of mankind, Bring the doctrine of reconciliation to the touchstone of nature, and then tell me, whether you can hereafter love, honor, and faithfully serve the power that hath carried fire and sword into your land? If you cannot do all these, then are you only deceiving yourselves, and by your delay bringing ruin upon posterity...But if you say, you can still pass the violations over, and then I ask, hath your house been burnt? Hath your property been destroyed before your face? Are your wife and children destitute of a bed to lie on, or bread to live on? Have you lost a parent or child by their hands, and yourself the ruined and wretched survivor? If you have not, then you are not a judge of those who have. But if you have, and still can shake hands with the murderers, then you are unworthy of the name of husband, father, friend, or lover, and whatever may be your rank or title in life, you have the heart of a coward, and the spirit of a sycophant.

Predator drones are killing Afghan and Pakistan civilians in greater numbers than militants. According to a 2009 Brookings Institute study, the ratio in Pakistan is at least 10-1. The civilian deaths are inescapable. Adherents of Taliban or Al Qaeda do not wear uniforms or other distinctive insignia. They do not carry membership cards or pay dues. They blend into civil society and are characteristically targeted there. President Obama has hidden the informant or communications sources he uses to distinguish civilians from militants. But Informants may prevaricate for money or revenge. And intercepted communications can be misinterpreted or misleading. Based on identical sources, the U.S. has erroneously identified most Guantanamo Bay detainees as "enemy combatants" according to the vast majority of federal court rulings.

British abuses of civilian populations during the Revolutionary War awakened implacable American enmity. To expect Afghans or Pakistanis to act any differently in response to United States provocations is absurd. Shakespeare's Shylock in The Merchant of Venice is unanswerable on that score:

I am a Jew. Hath not a Jew eyes? Hath not a Jew hands, organs, dimensions, senses, affections, passions? fed with the same food, hurt with the same weapons, subject to the same diseases, healed by the same means, warmed and cooled by the same winter and summer, as a Christian is? If you prick us, do we not bleed? if you tickle us, do we not laugh? if you poison us, do we not die? and if you wrong us, shall we not revenge? If we are like you in the rest, we will resemble you in that. If a Jew wrong a Christian, what is his humility? Revenge! If a Christian wrong a Jew, what should his sufferance be by Christian example? Why, revenge! The villainy you teach me I will execute, and it shall go hard but I will better the instruction.

Playing politics with terror alerts

President Obama’s anti-terror advice to Americans in Europe was actually about rebuking European governments.

Nathalie Rothschild, 06-10-10

Somewhere, in what seems like a parallel universe, security men and women are working around the clock to track terror plots. As we go about our everyday lives, shopping, working and travelling, they are assessing our nations’ vulnerability to attack, shifting the terror-alert status to reflect the nature and extent of whatever threat they catch wind of.

Every now and then, officials like to remind the public that this parallel universe exists and is keeping us safe. So on Sunday, Barack Obama’s administration alerted Americans living in or travelling to Europe to be vigilant against a potential terror attack. Apparently, American and European intelligence agencies have tapped into some unusual activity in North Waziristan in Pakistan, which is regarded as a hotbed of terrorist plotting. This was after a German man of Pakistani origin revealed, during interrogation in Afghanistan, that a group of al-Qaeda-linked Germans and Brits who are hiding in Pakistan have been discussing attacking the West with fellow terror plotters in various European cities.

But recent events – in particular the Obama administration’s terror-alert intervention into Europe – show that the terror-alert mechanism is not simply a practical warning system designed to tell people to look out for specific dangers; instead, the terror-alert system has become a political tool, used to send out political messages.

In this case, America’s warning to Americans in Europe demonstrated not only that the politics of fear is alive and well in the Obama era, but also that we seem to be moving towards a new stage in the politics of fear – what we might call the ‘imperialism of fear’. Washington is effectively using the alleged al-Qaeda threat to remind the Western world to get behind its ‘war on terror’. It effectively overrode European governments by communicating directly with Americans in Europe, forcing European leaders either to fall into line and to update their terror-alert statuses accordingly, or to try to distance themselves from Obama’s actions. This was more than a practical initiative – it was a heavy-handed political intervention.
