Nigerian Golden Jubilee Celebrations 2010

H. E. Ahmed Bala G, Ambassador of Nigeria, Kuwait hosted a grand function at embassy premises on Thursday 30^th September, 2010 to mark 50^th anniversary of Nigeria independence. H. E. Sheikh Ali Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Governor, Capital Governorate was the Guest of Honor. Ambassadors, senior Kuwaitis officials and elite of the town attended the function. Nigerian musical band was in attendance playing very popular local and international lyrics and music whereas specially prepared documentary film of the country was also shown.

Guest of Honor H. E. Sheikh Ali Al-Sabah was heartily welcomed by host Nigerian Ambassador and escorted to a room to meet and chat with some ambassadors before cutting the ceremonial cake. Guest of Honor accompanied by Nigerian Ambassador came to the main arena to officially declare open the Golden Jubilee celebrations. All the attendees stood up as a mark of respect when Kuwait and Nigeria national anthems were played. Governor and Nigerian ambassador jointly cut the giant size ceremonial cake.
