This is with respect to the recent announcement of Nawaz Sharif's return to Pakistan on September 10.I saw a few people dancing in the streets. I sometimes wonder what type of nation we are. What a short memory our nation has. We want to welcome a convicted criminal. This is same Nawaz Sharif who tried to hijack PIA's plane with not only the army chief on board but also approximately 80 children on it. This is same Nawaz Sharif whose coward stance on Kargil resulted in the Pak Army's humiliation from a very strong position. This is the same Nawaz Sharif who bankrupted the national economy rock bottom and the international donors announced the rating of Pakistan as "tech-default". This is the same Nawaz Sharif who raided the Supreme Court of Pakistan which is still regarded as the darkest day in Pakistan's history.

This is the same Nawaz Sharif who froze foreign currency accounts resulting in quick erosion of national foreign exchange reserves. This is the same Nawaz Sharif who's famous for the yellow cab scheme scandal, sugar scandal; Mercedes import scandal, wrong reporting to IMF and the World Bank scandal. This is same Nawaz Sharif whose period is hardest for journalists whose direct confrontation with the Jang group is not forgotten.

This is same Nawaz Sharif who has never given any sort of freedom to either the media or judiciary! This is same Nawaz Sharif who never took interest in building any sort of infrastructure except the M-2 motorway, a highly expensive and infeasible venture. Hence this is the same Nawaz Sharif who continuously lied to the nation hundreds of times about his Kargil de-briefing by the army, airplane hijacking and Saudi deal which all proved to be true today. He will yet again betray a very highly respected Saudi friend as he did to him and the Pakistani government earlier when he left Saudi Arabia lying about his son's illness. I am shocked how people now believe him as he always betrays and backs out of what he says. I can only say we are a strange nation when after knowing so much about him we still want to welcome him.

KARACHI: The barrack special for significant prisoners at Landhi Jail of Karachi is being cleaned on Sunday night.

Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has spent several months of imprisonment here in Plane Conspiracy case.

According to source, the jail officials overnight received written directives regarding clean-up of the barrack and seeing about other essential arrangements there.

In receipt of these directives, the concerned jail staff were called on duties to start the sanitation and other related work. 

 

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police arrested Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) leader Liaquat Baloch and Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) leaders Javed Hashmi and Raja Zafarul Haq on Sunday night.

Meantime, MMA President Qazi Hussain has been put under house arrest thanks to his bad health.

Makhdoom Javed Hashmi was arrested from parliament lodges under 16-MPO on the orders issued by Islamabad Deputy Commissioner.

MMA leader Liaquat Baloch has been shifted to Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.

Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) leader Raja Zafarul Haq was arrested from his residence G-7/4 here.

Qazi Hussain Ahmed was put under house arrest in his residence in Sector E-7. 

 

 

ISLAMABAD: The overnight bout of raids and arrests of Muslim League-N leaders and workers continued in the wee hours of Monday morning to restrain them from receiving Nawaz Sharif; whereas, the suggestion regarding sending PIA flight PK-786 to Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Nawabshah and Peshawar is also under consideration.

Meantime, Landhi Jail Barracks in Karachi are being revamped.

Nawaz Sharif is expected to arrive at Islamabad Airport at 930am; however, PIA officials informed that the flight would land here at 8:40am.

In this connection, large contingents of Rangers and policemen have been positioned all around the airport with armoured vehicles present on many places in federal capital.

According to police sources, the roads leading to the airport have been sealed for traffic and also all passages leading into Islamabad city have also been blocked.

According to Muslim League-N sources, a large number of policemen have been stationed in Araiyan Wala village abutting on Sharif's Raiwind Farm.

Police conducted a raid on MNA Pervez Malik's residence to arrest him. Police also raided on the residences of PML-N MPAs Malik Afzal Khokhar and Ajasam Sharif and arrested Ajasam Sharif's brother and four servants.

The caravans heading for Islamabad are being stopped at Kala Shah Kaku and Muredke and many workers have been locked up in police station along with their vehicles.

What i read from law.. Out of coercion and undue influence any such contract or agreement are void.. second.. according to Attorney General Abdul Qayum.. he wasnt taken in confidence for Nawaz`s forceful exile.. and any such exile will not be in accordance with the supreme court`s order!.. well well.. i believe at the moment.. the govt. doesnt have their own people on their side?

And i dont really understand.. what has the Saudi govt has to do with all the internal affair of Pakistan.. like they are being forced to play their role for Perviaz Musharaf in dirty politics of Pakistan? Even Saudi govt. has a deal with Nawaz.. that Nawaz Sharif is suppose to live in Saudia Arabi for 10 yrs.. its a human right logic.. its Nawaz choice to live where ever he chooses to.. any such agreement is against human right? eh!.. simple.. Paki Govt. plays it dice through Saudi govt. to confuse the people of Pakistan?.. kab sudrain ge ye loag?

And option no.1 in newspaper is just propaganda from Govt. side!
