My telegram sent from Thiruvanathapuram on 15 April 2010 to Governor & Chief-minister of Tamilnadu and Dist. Collector; A letter from Home department of Tamil Nadu in Tamil language (dated nil but) signed on 19 Nov 2010 informing about initiation of prompt action by asking the concerned officials for quick action. I pray that my home and belongings will be returned to me at the earliest and the culprits would be punished. I am grateful to you for the action in this regard and plead for further action. But, unfortunately, I am not aware of any further progress so far.
Ref. My letter sent to the concerned for action. A kind letter from Hon. His excellency Vice President of India No: VPS/R-24.03.2011/US dated 24th March 2011. I am highly grateful to His excellency.
----------------------- However, it is painful to say that the concerned officials from Tamil Nadu have not responded to my appeal so far. That is how Indian system functions at national, provisional and local levels. Hence I write this again to earnestly appeal to you to kindly pursue the mater. There seems to be a joint Kerala-Tamilnadu network operating against all my efforts to live in a better way. They seem to have used the criminal elements occupying my home. As a Muslim citizen I am helpless..
__________________________________________________________
I have been staying away from my home and home town, Colachal, until my home is freed from occupiers or, if it has already been destroyed by miscreants or by those illegal occupants pretending to be my relatives, until a new home is built there by those who destroyed it essentially for fear of crime from those opposed to my existence. I was beaten up by hired people, including some women and was kicked out of my home by employing goons from Melapalayam, near Tirnelveli Thiruvithancode, Colachal and Nagercoil a couple of years ago and I have come to nearby Thiruvanathapuram.
*The anti-social criminal elements who beat me and stay in my house had been selling illicit local liquor in the Kanyakumari district in the village Verkilambi and hence they have local police connections.
I shall be grateful to your excellency if you kindly instruct the concerned quarters to ensure my safe return to my home at Colachal.
______________________________ _______________________________
I, the undersigned, belong to Colachal, KK Dist TN and have a house 20-28 but in my absence some miscreants destroyed my house with support from local police station and \others that jointly terrorized me leave home. I don’t know when and how the destruction of my home took place but I was informed by some one close to them only recently - possibly to provoke me to rush to Colachal police station - only to be insulted and troubled by them on behalf of the barbarians who demolished my home..
My house 20-28 is in the centre of Colachal town near the police station and PWD guest house. Now they have destroyed my house obviously in connivance with police and others in the brood day light. I still don’t want to go there even to check the spot because the paid police criminals would not do any thing to punish the barbarians but only trouble me expecting extra cash from me.
In my telegram have brought to your kind notice the crude fact about how some people who were staying in my house ( No: 2028, Colachal, KK Dt-629251) destroyed my home and stole all my belongings, including alma rah full of personal articles, including pass port and some money, gold ring. There were several books, files, research materials, house hold items. They have done it with connivance with the local police.
I have been informed by a distant relative who is like their agent about the destruction of the house and looting of my belongings. The next day I sent you the telegram.
From a poor background whiteout any support from parents, but discontinued my high school studies for want of support and then began working in shops. An old grandwoman took care of me. I studied at Colachal and Lakshmmipuram college then moved to New Dehi for work and education and have on acholarships completed my higher studies. I have done MA, M.PHil and PhD. I have worked outside Tamilnadu as a teacher at Mysore University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, ciefl, Hyderabad, International Uniferro Lmt, Maharashtra etc and some of "relatives" stayed there. I do not have a family of my own. But whenever I came to my house those who stayed there would deliberately create problems for my stay even for a few days. There were asked by some notorious gang to trouble me so that I never come back to Colachal. When things got worse and I was threatened by them and hired people and even beaten up by them, I approached the police station at Colachal and lodged a complaint followed by many more, but the police played tricks and they were opposed to my staying at home. They even asked me why need a home! Only once they registered my written compliant -other wise they bluntly refused to register it- but they refuse take action against barbarians occupying my house threatening and beating me. ., . When I was thrown out of my home and they locked the house from outside, I went to police for help but they were cool as usual.
I had made several representations to the local police, but they refused to register the complaints, saying they would do the work, But I was under constant threat from those who stayed and their gang form Thiruvithancode, Nagercoil and Melapalayam. IN fact the local police staff behaved like a terrorist organization with DSP playing hide and seek game never allowing me to meet him with my complaint. I was asked to handover the complaint to subordinates in the station. His staff did not allow me even to enter their premises and barked l so cruelly. Inspector was keeping silent despite my appeal to remove them and take action against them. .
It appeared the Colachal police station staff is eager to make me a criminal so that newspapers could publish a story about a "doctorate criminal". I don’t know why they don’t want to live in my own house for which paid land and building taxes regularly at village office and municipality. The nexus between police and criminals is a known problem but it affected me very much for my own existence at Colachal.
I don’t know who from where plans to trouble me on a permanent basis. Wherever I go I sense trouble for me. Even in Delhi I was not spared and hence I left JNU without completing my research for second Ph.D. I left my job on account of some trouble from government agents who wanted me to surrender job for VRS in 2001 and returned home. But the barbarian attitude of ob both those who stayed in my house and the police people continued and none of my complaints was registered by the police people who behaved like a terrorist agency of Tamilnadu government- rather than a responsible law and order authorities. Police always want money.
When Colachal police refused to act, I had sent a letter to SP, Nagercoil from Colachal in 2006, but no action was forthcoming and those occupying my home told me they have got connections in SP office also. Irresponsible police really threatn4dmy existence in Colachal. I was even afraid the police and the illegal occupations of my home would jointly plot to finish me off. So, I decided to leave my home and come to Thiruvanathapuram to seek help from some other relatives, but failing to get it, I have been living here itself.
I have been for a few years living outside and want to return home. I badly need my belongings like Passport, bank pass books, other bank documents, dresses, cash, research materials.
Hopefully, you have taken up the matter regarding my house and stay in future at Colachal as humanitarian crisis of an educated person whom the illiterate police and some others have coerced to run away.
I appeal to you to kindly punish the culprits who occupied my home, threatened me, beat me, threw me out of my home with support from anti-social elements and local police. I shall be grateful to you for taking necessary steps to restore my home and belongings from disc rents.
-----------
This is an appeal for securing my home and not an application for any job.
Looking forward to hearing from you, Sir
Thanking you
Yours Sincerely,
Dr. Abdul Ruff
