Are we loosing Baluchistan?

Baluchistan is the biggest province of the country as per area though it has the least population but still it is an integral part and parcel of Pakistan but in recent weeks it has gained so much attention and that too outside Pakistan that God forbid something untoward may not happen.

Just a few days back only American Congress has deliberated on Baluchistan which was not only very much detrimental to our national interests but also it infringed on our sovereignty and though we did protest but still we failed to ask USA as to under which authority it could even think of Baluchistan. Which constitution, USA or Pakistan conferred the authority on USA to directly talk directly or indirectly about Baluchistan? Today Thursday 1st March, Pakistan Observer publishes very shocking and suffocating news under the title ‘Qatar allowed opening of office’ which I very seriously doubt any Pakistani whether living within the country or overseas would like it. As a Pakistani I wish that Qatar should not allow anyone to open any office on Free Baluchistan unless and until Qatar is openly against Pakistan. I will strongly suggest that our President Asif Ali Zardari must talk with Amir of Qatar H.H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and tell him very plainly and categorically that he should not allow any such office in Qatar under any circumstances whatsoever or else Pakistan will break off its ties with the tiny oil rich exporting country. At this point of time, Pakistan has no alternative but to threat Qatar at this very moment otherwise we will be humiliated at global level

However, Zardari must also take cognizance of the situation and try to redress the genuine and long outstanding demands and claims of Baluchistan so that it cools down the heart burning of the affected people of the province otherwise it will air to the feelings of separation and or independence. Islamabad should not continue ignoring the people of the province otherwise the debacle of East Pakistan could be repeated. Our enemies are all the time looking for any chance to disintegrate Pakistan as much as possible and hence simple prudence demands that we must be very much rational, judicious in our thinking and approach while dealing with those who have already been neglected for decades.

Shouldn’t we remember that rubber is stretchable and it does stretch but to some extent only?
