Russia’s acknowledgment that a government defeat is possible clearly signals the awful assassination of embattled Syrian president as cruelly as that of Saddam Hussein and Col Qaddafi by global fascist forces led by dictatorial America which now is busy recreating the Libyan scenario in this energy rich Mideast nation.
Like what Saddam Hussein had done Iraqis, foolish Bashar al-Assad’s regime has fired Scud missiles at rebel-held areas, and Syria looks forward to worst situation now as the encroachment of violence ever nearer to the centre of Damascus.
Recognition of opposition as “legitimate” owners of Syria sic early a joke on humanity but that reality can destroy Syria if Al Assad refuses to read the wall.
Enemies of Islam want Assad to be defiant so that they could usefully use the opposition to destabilize Syria and loot its vast energy resources.
As a result, the pace of the conflict in Syria is accelerating offering scope for external intervention. .
Assad’s defiance and Washington’s diplomatic recognition of the opposition and terrorist designation aim to divide military into for and against the regime against as it happened in Libya against the genuine interests of Syria and its people.
Neither Assad regime not the main rebel coalition has the legitimacy over Syrian state. Only elections and a popular mandate can decide that matter. Assad must leave presidency.
Exit of Assad does not automatically ensure peace in Syria. Even when Assad is assassinated or the Assad regime falls, obviously the aftermath will be an unstable and insecure Syria with many more thousand of Syrians losing their lives.
Hence it is advisable that Assad transfer power at least now directly or through legitimate polls.
Assad has enjoyed power for too long and now he must consider the future of Syria and opt for peaceful settlement of crisis.
More importantly, Assad must realize that he is not just fighting the opposition on streets, killing Syrians, but the NATO rouges and American imperialists. As enemies of Islam they are the most formidable military terror syndicate.
One can however only blow the whistle but Assad needs to take the call. If the leadership cares only about its power and benefits and prefer destruction of the state and resources rather than submit to the will of God and leave power, immoral or illegal, Assad is likely to follow the footsteps of horrid end of Saddam and Qaddafi.
Continued defiance of Assad will cost Syria!
