Anti polio campaign in Pakistan

What a shame that some of us are anti to administration of polio drops which is a terrible disease and handicaps the person if not taken care at the right age and at right time. For quite many months it has been opposed tooth and nail in PK but sadly its anti feelings have been planted in Karachi as well which is believed to be the most enlightened city of the country.

Just now on Tues 18^th Dec 2012 at 1440 my time and 1640 PST, very shockingly I read that 4 ladies who were attached with polio scheme have been gunned down in Karachi while another girl who a volunteer was doing the same work in KP has also been killed. 5 females killed today in Pakistan due to administering polio drops is both horrible and terrible news to be honest and I wonder who could be those who are anti to humanity and that too none but against their own compatriots unless the killers are imported foreign nationals. Now when both in Karachi and KP official authorities have stopped administering polio drops the question is how such action will save physical disability in those who will be crippled because they were not administered the polio drops.

I think we must be quite prudent and judicious in our actions so that we are not working against the interest of our own people. Police, rangers and even army be deployed to catch those who killed these 5 women today and the culprits be hanged in public at some round about or crossing so that none dares to even think to oppose polio scheme but if we do not take such drastic or even barbaric action then there will be more such attacks and then there would be so many crippled children in the country because of non administration of polio drops.  This is very serious and explosive situation if one realizes. I do not wish alike so do not paint me otherwise but nevertheless let me hint that if no immediate punitive action is taken against those who killed these 5 innocent ladies today then be prepared that for the hour when more attacks will be carried out on those who are associated with polio scheme. Incidentally it must also be kept in mind that this could spread to other provinces also because polio drops are the given to all the children throughout the country so it cannot be limited to just Sindh and KP as one may be mistaken.

You decide what you want to do now but remember it is an official obligation entrusted to police and other law enforcing agencies that they work for the welfare of the public and not against them. Who dares and where is my worry and not just a question?
