Pakistan democracy: Father Zardari wants son Bilawal to be next president!!

All forms of government promote family rule across the globe- shamelessly!

Modern democracies especially in third word keep promoting the family interests of the ruling and political classes. It is particularly so in Muslim nations where the leaders consider their own sons and daughters as the only heirs to their political thrones.  

It is primarily because the politicians think the resources of the nation belong to their families. Nation thus becomes personal property of  a few  top politicians to manipulate  everything thing in their favour.

Pakistan is a fine example of this brand of so-called deformed democracy. Asif Ali Zardari had used the influence and popularity of his wife and daughter of Zulfikar Bhutto, premier Benazir Bhutto’s to enter her government and, after her death, by using political anti-military tirade, promote himself to the presidency. Now his son another Bhutto who enjoyed life in the west so far, is in the pipeline for presidency or premiership.

Force of effective political manipulations lets Zardari consider his son as the most suited person to be the next president of Pakistan. Americans support the regime as a bargain chip to get Pakistani military do enough for NATO terror syndicate.   

People are the convenient tool (rather the fools) for the politicians to advance their family interests in the nation. Now Zardari Father president Zardari and his dear son have attempted a joint effort to galvanize the nation’s youth to join their PPP party mainly to protect their aristocratic interests. Zardari However, despite tall claims, the successive governments made no worthwhile efforts to channelize and exploit their energies and potential. They talked about the policy of reconciliation that was aimed at strengthening the federating units, strategy to counter foreign conspiracies, the biggest challenge of occupation terrorism and the economic issues and what the Government intends to do to address them.

Addressing second summit of ‘Pakistan Leaders of Tomorrow’ in Islamabad, both President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairman and his “rising” son Bilawal Bhutto Zardari touched upon a number of important national issues as well as those of specific interest to the youth of the country. Bilawal made a long but inspiring address which was punctuated by applause by the participants as a reflection of endorsement of his views on different issues especially those relating to role and responsibilities of the youth.

In this backdrop, the very idea of organizing the youth and interacting with them is a welcome initiative for which President Zardari and his son deserved appreciation. They not only brought representatives of the youth under one roof to discuss the challenges confronting the nation and come out with solutions but all those who matter in the Government were available for policy statements and face questions from youth.

And deviating from the slated programme, the President himself volunteered to respond to any question by the youth and tried to satisfy them. We are confident that the interaction would surely inspire confidence among youth and give them a sense of participation in national affairs. This particularly means much in view of the fact that general elections are scheduled to be held next year and votes of the young people could make a real difference. While appreciating the move of the President, we would urge that similar interactions should be held at provincial levels as most of the problems of the youth concern the provinces. At the same time, both Federal and Provincial Governments should put their acts together to ward off concerns of the youth about security and unemployment.

The trend to promote kin and kith in politics is a common feature in western terrocracies As well. Americans are no different. And they shield all crimes and frauds around the world.

Thousands of Muslims have been murdered in Pakistan due to CIA-Pentagon terror strategies and machinations ever since Zardari assumed, rather amassed,  power.

So long as Zardari and company keep killing Muslims in Pakistan by calling them as terrorists along with the occupying NATO axis evil forces, Americans would promote family rule in Pakistan and elsewhere.

But are Pakistanis so weak as not to be able to rise to occasion and end family rule and foreign occupation and control?
