Many in India and from UK predicated a complete while in favour India. Of course, Indians never expected this kind cruel anti-climax especially when the y could defeat the English boys in the practice sessions comfortably just before the Test one that began in Rajkot. Indians have failed in the very first English examination at what now could be called Rajcook in India. So, the Indo-Eng trend is quite clear.
Indo-UK conducted a “balanced” bowling taking the opponents beyond 300 runs. Indian bowlers first gave 325 runs o to the visitors but could take only 4 wickets and England bowlers also did not let Indian batboys collapse that badly. Indian got many good runs 50s etc, but only towards the end the English boys became a bit serious , ending the Indian bating losing 9 wickets.
In fact, English bowlers let Indian spectators and fixers feel and smell a victory throughout the match. And Indian thought, rather expected, that English guest boys would responsibly return all the runs Indians had n offered with a couple of extra runs more so that India can loudly claim a win. Indians had expected English bowlers to let them hit 2 big SIXes at the end but that did not happen- and India lost.
After all, India offered too many runs 325 that were not at all expected by Cameron boys. After the Indo-Pak third ODI which allowed 150-160 range to both, England might have expected about a score in 200-250 range at the most. But India was too liberal and- gave 325.
Question would be: Why did India which refused even 160 runs to Pakistan decided to offer 325 runs to England? England was thrashed badly by Pakistan recently.
Cook and co fried Indians. But they also promoted their favourite Indian batboys with 50 plus
Supposing India restricted England to about 250 runs would England have lost the match?
Was it a bowler failure in containing the batboys effectively or their mischievous victory in propelling batboys as their duty?
