Neither you marry nor do you die

Yesterday Friday 15th February, 2013 a new lesson rather truly brand new lesson in connection with wedding in Karachi has not only been passed on but even taught too to my all beloved compatriots living back home whereby any Pakistani marrying shall have to think very deeply of all the possible pros and cons of marrying in Pakistan unless and until the person himself willingly not less than his own enemy.

Yesterday all our television channels showed a dazzling white color car fully adorned and decorated with multi colored flowers and illuminating ribbons tinged with laces, balloons etc carrying the happiest bridegroom towards the house of the house of the bride but unfortunately the ill fated car carrying the bridegroom was attacked by guns by someone riding on a motorcycle whereby none but the bridegroom himself has died on the spot while another occupant of the car also lost his life in the same attack. Each human whether male or female, rich or poor, white or black, tall or short, educated or uneducated, governor or governed whether living in Pakistan or elsewhere wants to marry which is quite but natural and the practice is undoubtedly being exercised from time immemorial. Therefore from that point of view the aspiring bridegroom had an inborn right to marry and in pursuit to that his life time achievement he was leading his baraat towards the house of his would-be bride but before he could reach the destination the poor fellow was killed instantly. How unfortunate were those who were very much excitedly sitting with him in the same car but as the bad luck had it another person sitting in the same car with the bridegroom lost his life while others were injured in the attack.

I wish I am wrong but perhaps not as under the given circumstances it is very much feared with some certainty that now this new trend may be set in the country to attack baraats as the people attending wedding parties are not armed in any case and therefore such people can become the easiest possible prey to those who are hungry and thirsty of human blood. After reading the news what perplexes me the most is as to what ought to be done now by those who are yet to marry in Pakistan. Perhaps there are only three possible options left for my future compatriot bridegrooms that either they just forget about marrying in our beloved country or alternatively they should travel in bulletproof cars to avoid killing. The first option is not only extremely cruel but also very much unnatural from a person to advise another person not to marry but why and under what terms he can be denied matrimonial right so it is to be discarded forthwith. Second option is that the baraat is not to travel anymore in ordinary vehicles rather instead they should use bulletproof vehicles so that even if someone attacks then the occupants are neither killed nor injured but hundred percent safe. However, truthfully speaking none can afford even to hire a bulletproof vehicle what to talk of buying the vehicle which as such means that though this is quite fool proof arrangement but nevertheless it is way beyond my compatriots. Third and the last option is only applicable under the circumstances when the earlier two have failed and cannot be exercised and executed and therefore now the bridegroom is to carry his white coffin cloth as well with him meaning by that he will marry but being short on cash he cannot afford to ride a bulletproof vehicle in other words he will ride in any ordinary vehicle which is very much likely to be attacked hence it necessitates that he must have coffin too so that his body can be readily wrapped up and lowered in a grave.

What do you advise to my compatriot bridegrooms?
