Supreme Court must punish our cricketers
Didn’t we hear, unless we are both & dumb, the red lights blown in Kimbereley just a couple of days before when Pakistan national squad hardly beat 3rd rated South Africans by just one wicket when only 2 more balls to be played in one day warm up match? Why are being fooled by our cricketers who are very much highly paid but for what? Why are they not punished when they fail in even putting reasonable fight what to talk of winning a match? When will they win and under what circumstances?
Just see what is happening in Bloemfontein where Pakistan has scored just 133 runs after losing 4 wickets (Nasir + Hafeez + Asad + Younus) and at this point of time present captain Misbah (37/41) @92.50 and former captain Shoaib (3/5) @60.00 are at the crease. Our score rate is only 4.75 whereas 8.31 is the asking rate to equate what South Africans have posed when their only their 6 players scored only 315 in allotted 50 overs when they were asked to bat. Misbah had won the toss but preferred to field instead and it proved grave mistake on his part for the very simple reason that we have hardly triumphed under pressure and it is nothing but repeated again. I had heard Misbah saying in television interview that we are fully toned up to face the opponents and feel confident to win in one day which is very much needed since we have been defeated in all the 3 test matches. I have written many times that Misbah must be imprisoned and not just removed from cricket but none cared and the result is before us. We have heard a lot from Chairman, selectors and coach etc that our team has potentials to beat anyone but it has been proved otherwise and I have very serious doubts if this lot can deliver unless we still want to bet on dead horse.
In the given circumstances when Pakistan is being humiliated in cricket since long Chief Justice Iftikhar must come into action and ask why the country is being let down by just 11 cricketers. Who opposes and who supports me?
