US regime-change policy in Syria
intact?
-DR. ABDUL RUFF COLACHAL
_______________
It has been the key
US policy to silence any nation that opposes
US capitalist and imperialist interests in nay part of
the world as American politicians and military think entire world
is theirs. This claim is very similar to that of the Zionist fascists
as well.
So, any government
that is viewed as a hindrance to the pursuit of the geopolitical interests
of the American ruling class is targeted for destabilization or overthrow,
through covert or overt means.
The Obama regime
still targets regime change in Syria and insists that the purpose of
the so-called Geneva II discussions was to remove President Bashar
al-Assad and install a pro-US puppet government. Washington, thus, sees
only one option, negotiating a transition government born by mutual consent.
The Obama regime
brazenly cloaks its campaign in Syria in the rhetoric of democracy and human
rights.
The prolongation of
crisis in Syria testifies to the Obama administration’s willingness to
recklessly promote extreme right-wing forces to advance the predatory economic
and geostrategic interests of the American capitalists that, like
Arab league of nations do, finance the NATO militarism
and imperialism.
The CIA's sarin gas
lies lie down as dead
imperialist drive, and these lies were spread
to obtain legitimacy for a more
forceful terror attack on Syrians by the NATO
forces directly, more fresh bogus allegations against Syria are
being raised that are no more credible than the sarin filth.
The gas attack came
shortly after Kerry met with Syrian opposition figures, who had been
experiencing months of military setbacks and were desperate for more direct
military assistance from the USA.
The US experts
Lloyd and Postol who conducted investigative research on the sarin
issue, concluded that the chemical weapons had to have come from within 2
kilometres of the target, and that every possible launching point was in
rebel-held territory. Syrian government and military forces could not have been
responsible. Also, a UN chemical weapons inspectors’ report last month
detailed numerous sarin gas attacks carried out by opposition militia forces,
including several confirmed attacks within days of the Ghouta killings.
Washington has
spent nearly three years on Syria seeking to use violence to carry out regime
change. The conflict has produced more than 100,000 casualties and
displaced millions. It threatens to develop into a region-wide civil
war. The US and its allies in Europe, Saudi Arabia and Qatar have financed
an insurgency targeting the regime of
Assad, killing thousands of Muslims, mostly Sunni.
The US campaign in
Syria follows the illegal US wars against Afghanistan and Iraq, which have
devastated the two countries and led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands, if
not millions, of people. It comes on the heels of the US-led war to overthrow
Qaddafi in Libya.
Having antagonized
Arab world by its refusal to attack both Iran and Syria, Washington now
seems to be trying to signal to Sunni Saudi led Arab League a new
aggressive stand on Shiite Assad ruling Sunni majority
Syria.
But it is only a
CIA gimmick and Americans cannot help the Arab world in any way. They
just unilaterally advance the imperialist goals in Mideast and South Asia by
tactfully s using the regional powers.
A regime change in
Damascus is not meant to help the Sunni world and such an operation will not be
in the interests of Arab world.
Arab leaders should
come out of the fool’s paradise!
