12-03-08: This gruesome incident took place in the residential area of Model Town, close to the Central Model Town Park, at the very backside of a house owned by an official of the Field Investigation Unit and opposite to the Bilawal House situated at 89-E Model Town. Sources confirmed that the house at the back of the Model Town target was a safe house of FIU and at the time of the blast, senior officials, including a foreign investigator, were busy in investigating some suspects.

ISLAMABAD: The latest suicide attacks on FIA Headquarters and Model Town targeted the secret agencies officers investigating the arrested suicide bombers, reported Channel Five here Tuesday. According to FIA DG, four alleged suicide bombers involved in the Naval War College explosions were being investigated at the time of the suicide attack on FIA building. There were also 11 human smugglers under investigation inside the same building that are still missing. The other suicide attack on the advertising agency in Model Town also targeted the adjoining building that served as the investigation cell of FIA where alleged extremists were being investigated.

- Same day Governer of Punjab Khalid Maqbool (Ahmadi by faith) said that Sipah e Sahaba and Jaish e Muhammed are behind Lahore attacks, today at least 300-400 peoples including families of both groups have been arrested.
- Mush, Bush, and poodles says this is work of Al Kaeeda.
- Shia network consisting Najam Sethi, Aizaz Syed of daily Times, Saleem Shahzad (Asia Times) and brother of DG ISPR at Dawn are continuously insisting that it is Taliban and Baitullah Mehsood.

Now only on suspicion and to fill the stomach of files, agencies are arresting hundred of peoples from cities, towns and villages, whether it will not create reaction within those areas where war of terror is not asked for by lords.

6 killed by mortar shells in Pakistan's tribal region

ISLAMABAD, March 12 (Xinhua) -- Six people in Pakistan's tribal region were killed by mortar shells from Afghanistan, local TV channel reported on Wednesday evening. The six including two children were killed when five mortar shells from Afghanistan hit a house in Pakistan's North Waziristan tribal region, the Dawn TV reported. But a military spokesman, who asked not to be named, told Xinhua that four people, including two women and two children, were killed in the unidentified attacks. There are no further details about the shelling. |

Pakistani security forces miss target, kill 11
12 March 2008: ISLAMABAD - Pakistan's security forces missed the militant hideout they were aiming for and killed 11 civilians in an artillery barrage that landed in a residential area in the restive tribal areas bordering Afghanistan, local media reported Wednesday.
Those killed included two women and about a dozen were wounded, the English-language newspaper The News reported.
The paramilitary troops fired artillery and mortars on suspected militant locations in Nawagai area of Bajaur tribal district after one of their colleagues was wounded by an improvised explosive device late Tuesday.
Local residents said most of the shells fell in residential areas and caused serious damage to houses, The News reported.
Fighting then erupted between security forces and tribal militant forces and continued for several hours. Both sides then ceased fire for about one hour allowing locals to burry their dead and pull their wounded out from destroyed homes and take them to safer areas.
Civilians are often caught in the middle, from both suicide attacks targeting security forces or artillery fire and helicopter gun ships attacking militant positions.

Arrests on sectarian lines: Agencies add: Five suspicious persons including an Imam-e-Masjid have been arrested after two suicide bomb blasts in Lahore while the government has traced out the suspects allegedly involved in suicide attack on FIA building. According to a private TV channel, during raids by the law-enforcing agencies on different places, a resident of Nawankot-Bund Road, Qari Rehmatullah Tonsi and his four guests were arrested. Tonsi's wife informed a private TV channel that heavy contingent of police and other personnel in plain-clothes had surrounded her house and arrested her husband and his four guests who had come from Dera Ghazi Khan. More than 50 suspicious people have been taken into custody by authorities.
