Zionist fascist attack on Gaza’s March of Return: UN should declare USA and Israel criminal states!
– Dr. Abdul Ruff Colachal
________
Criminal politics of USA-Israeli fascist twins
Of course, no one needs any crash course to comprehend the nexus between fascist nations like USA and Israel that kill Muslims in Palestine on instruction from US President-now a criminal minded Trump. Nor the world requires any explanation about evolution of Israel into an ultra criminal state with US backing.
Israel is a spoilt boy of ruling American strategists and they once childhood have been used to drink the Palestinian blood and also claim “existential” threat. USA provides terror goods and technology, encourages Israel to commit all crimes against Palestinians humanity as it uses its veto on UNSC to shield the Zionist criminal regime from any punishment for their joint crimes.
And hence USA has proliferated WMD to Tel Aviv illegally and misuses even veto on UNSC to shield the Zionist criminals – now cold blooded Netanyahu.
The rising Zionist criminal acts due to the increased tensions in the conflicting territory of the West Bank have now assumed monstrous proportions. Tensions in the West Bank have spurred violent acts and protests. The incident in which Zionist forces part of the Israeli military shot a Palestinian man after he had stabbed an Israeli citizen in the West Bank.
In relation to the protests that have arisen, Palestinians have been protesting in the Gaza Strip against Israel. The Great Return March consists of Palestinians protesting against Israel for their refusal of letting refugees return to their homes. This protest march stretches further from the Gaza Strip to the West Bank and Jerusalem. The UK the cause of birth of Israel inside Palestine emphasizes the broad scope of this protest and the step forward it means for Palestine against Israel.
Latest Zionist terror attack on Palestinians took place on weekend. Hamas had planned the Great Return March on March 31 as a show of both force and desperation in the context of a Trump’s Jerusalem gimmick, crisis in Palestinian leadership and the alarming economic and humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, as per a recent UN report.
Clashes erupted as tens of thousands of Gazans protested near the border on Friday, with Israeli forces using tear gas and live fire to force back smaller numbers of demonstrators who approached within a few hundred metres of the heavily fortified border fence.
In addition to the 16 Palestinians killed, more than 1,400 were wounded, 758 of them by live fire, with the remainder hurt by rubber bullets and tear gas inhalation, according to the Gazan health ministry.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas declared Saturday a day of national mourning and in a speech said he held Israel fully responsible for the deaths. Thousands attended funerals for 14 of those killed – two were buried on Friday – with mourners holding Palestinian flags and some chanting “revenge” and firing into the air.
Palestinians are angry and Israel waited to attack when they protest against Zionist oppression. A few firebombs were thrown, a few roadside bombs were laid down, tires were burned and there were a few attempts to cut the fence and cross into Israel. Was every one of the 15 killed involved in such alleged acts, which, even if they were carried out, did not immediately endanger the lives of the soldiers or other Israelis? Was every one of the roughly 700 wounded by live ammunition involved in these alleged acts? By the time we see detailed testimony and pictures documenting how some of those killed and wounded had been shot in the back, and the festive, civilian atmosphere that prevailed among the marchers before the killings, it will already be yesterday’s news.
That is how Israel marked April 01.
Hamas confirmed in a statement that five of the 16 people killed by Israel on the Gaza border were members of its armed wing.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas declared Saturday a national day of mourning, and a general strike was called across the occupied West Bank. Clashes were also reported in the West Bank city of Hebron between Palestinian protesters and Israeli soldiers.
In New York, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called for an “independent and transparent investigation into these incidents”. “This tragedy underlines the urgency of revitalizing the peace process aiming at creating the conditions for a return to meaningful negotiations for a peaceful solution that will allow Palestinians and Israelis to live side by side peacefully and in security,” Guterres’ office said in a statement.
In Brussels, the European Union’s foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini also called for “an independent and transparent investigation” into Israeli security forces’ use of live ammunition.
Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of the UK’s opposition Labour Party, condemned Israel and said in a tweet that the “killing and wounding by Israeli forces of civilians demonstrating for Palestinian rights in Gaza is appalling”.
US-Israeli expansionism
Upon imposing on Palestine the criminal Jews collected from Europe, USA and UK have equipped Israel with all kinds of terror equipment including WMD. All crimes being perpetrated by Israel in Palestine are obviously on instruction from White House and as such for each crime agonist humanity in Palestine America must take responsibility.
USA-Israel terror twins are busy scheming against Palestine, Arab world, Iran and Turkey. They want to remove the remaining Palestine and make Palestine a part of Zionist Israel.
USA and Israel exploit not only the people but also the UN for its weaknesses and continue to kill Palestinians.
Naturally, USA and Israel employ expansionism as their key policy to terrorize Palestinians who are been forced to face collective punishment without committing any crimes – for reclaiming their lands forcefully confiscated by USA-Israel fascist duo- on their own lands occupied by Israeli military. Crimes are being committed by Zionist immoral father- the USA.
And therefore terrorist Israel continues to intermittently attack the Palestinians. Apparently, now Israeli military kills Palestinians for fun and derive a lot of sadistic pleasure as revenge for their false claims of European oppression of Jews.
Tightly pursuing “kill Palestine” policy and anticipating trouble, Israeli troops opened fire before the Gaza border protests had even begun. Omar Samour, a 31-year-old farmer, was picking parsley in his field near Khan Yunis early on Friday the March 30 morning when he was killed. Another farmer was injured by shrapnel. Israel’s military later confirmed its tanks had fired at “suspicious figures” on the border and reiterated its right to kill Palestinians who are under their control.
During the protest, many Palestinians were injured by Israeli forces. Qatar reports on the wounded and dead Palestinians during the protest. The Israeli army has released snipers at the protest in response to the Palestinians’ demand for the return of refugees. The wounded and killed Palestinians during the protest have increased animosity in the relationship between the two countries.
As Palestinians observed a day of mourning next day on Saturday, both sides warned of possible escalation in the weeks ahead.
Will this violent yet long-predicted rekindling of the Israel-Palestine conflict trigger a wider crisis drawing in Lebanon, Syria and Iran?
The demonstrations occurred at a crisis in relations between Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, the European Union and international human rights organizations have called for an independent investigation into violent clashes at the Gaza fence March 30, where as many as 30,000 Gaza residents demonstrated against the Israeli blockade. Fifteen Palestinians were killed and as many as 1,000 injured by the Israeli military. On March 31, the USA swiftly blocked a draft UN Security Council statement calling for an investigation.
UN should not let USA and Israel misuse the UN veto to shield the crimes committed against the humanity.
USA and Israel are keen to expand the Zionist territories in Palestine with expansive proliferation of Zionist settlements considered illegal by the international community global humanity and international law.
Zionist fake talks, weak UN
Proliferation of Zionist illegal settlements in Palestine continues unabated even as USA talks about proliferation of nuclear materials by the “terrorists”
The Zionist terrorization of Palestine public is encouraged by Washington. Now the USA under roguish Trump threatens with shifting of embassy to Jerusalem in May, effectively recognising the city as Israel’s sovereign capital while ignoring Palestine’s claims. In short, a spring season of looming flashpoints is now begun.
Israel controls and regulates the so-called peace talks. When it wants Israel suddenly asks the Palestinian leaders to attend a peace talk only to be cut short or abandoned at will. Israel’s rightwing leaders- in fact almost every Zionist leader is right wing criminal- unwilling or unable to contemplate a two-state solution, compound myopic intransigence with a disproportionate use of force.
The absence of a credible peace process underlies the latest confrontation, as happened in 2000 when the second intifada began, and again in 2014. Once again, Hamas and its supporters in Gaza, blockaded by Israel and Egypt and at odds with their Fatah rivals in the West Bank, are using mass civilian protest to end their isolation.
Speaking upon Gaza, the Palestinian president Abbas relayed his disagreement with the US ambassador to Israel regarding his support for illegal Israeli settlers in the West Bank. France relays their thoughts on Israel building settlements on Palestine’s land (Gaza) and the US ambassador to Israel supporting these actions.
Abbas’ direct and indirect threats against Hamas not only dealt a blow to the fragile Palestinian reconciliation effort, but also risked a dangerous escalation. Last year, Abbas had cut support for electricity to Gaza to pressure Hamas leaders, increasing the hardship of Gaza residents. The Palestinian budget submitted by Abbas excluded Gaza, unless Hamas leaders accepted his reconciliation proposals. Abbas said March 19, “In my capacity as the president of the Palestinian people, and having born all that I can bear for the sake of unity of the homeland, which was rejected by Hamas and its illegal authority, I have decided to take national, legal and financial actions to preserve our national project. I am confident that the people of Gaza will always support the national project and the higher national interest.”
US misguided Zionist fascism
UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenov warned the UN Security Council March 26 that “‘illegal settlement expansion and related activities continue further threatening the viability of the two-state solution and eroding the prospects for peace,’ and that ‘violence and incitement continue to fuel hatred, division, distrust and fear, and continuing terror attacks on Israelis as well as the recent assassination attempt on the Palestinian Prime Minister exemplify the growing risk of destabilization and the empowerment of radicals and extremists.’”
A report on March 16 by UN warned specifically that the Gaza Strip continues to present the greatest risk of escalation alongside an acute humanitarian crisis with the potential for a complete breakdown in service delivery. The report also stresses the need for a changed political reality on the ground, including the resumption by the Palestinian Authority of its full responsibilities for the people, governance and infrastructure of Gaza.
USA always played hide and seek attitude toward Palestine and other Arab nations while promoting Israeli interests. Trump broke open the real US mindset in favor promoting Zionist criminal regime as the leader of West Asia.
Israeli and international media paid a great deal of attention to an insult that the typically reserved Abbas hurled at David Friedman, the US ambassador to Israel. The statement reflects the PLO movement’s official position, but they also stressed that they were neither contacted by the US regime for dialogue nor invited to attend the donor conference held at the White House mid-March. On the contrary, Hamas criticized the conference, which it described as a US attempt to absolve Israel of Gaza’s humanitarian and economic problems caused by the Israeli blockade imposed on Gaza since 2007.
The speech revealed a vindictive leader who apparently has no problem punishing the entire Gaza Strip for the March 13 attempted assassination of Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah and General Intelligence Service chief Majid Faraj. Six people were slightly injured when one of two roadside bombs hit Hamdallah’s convoy as it entered Gaza.”
Apparently, the Israeli military establishment was feeling “nervous” in advance of the “Great Return March” protest as well as an unusual threat by the Israeli Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) warning the owners of 20 Gaza bus companies that “you and your families will be held personally responsible” if their buses brought protesters to the border.
This is the usual terrorist threat.
Zionist operations on the Gaza strip have created more tensions to rise between Israel, Palestine, and the USA.
Nakba day protests
While Israel celebrates its foundation day, Palestinians also mark Nakba day on 15 May. The six weeks of protests by Palestinians leading up to the 70th anniversary of Nakba day on 15 May, literally the “catastrophe”, as Arabs see it, followed Israel’s declaration of independence on 14 May, 1948.
The six-week protest is scheduled to culminate on 15 May, the day Palestinians commemorate what they call the Nakba (Catastrophe), when hundreds of thousands fled or were driven out of their homes in 1948 when the state of Israel was created.
Israel has long ruled out any right of return, fearing an influx of Arabs that would wipe out its Jewish majority. It argues that refugees should resettle in a future state the Palestinians seek in the Israeli-occupied West Bank and Gaza. Peace talks to that end have been frozen since 2014.
Abbas’s spokesman, Nabil Abu Rdainah, said: “The message of the Palestinian people is clear. The Palestinian land will always belong to its legitimate owners and the occupation will be removed.”
Israeli military spokesman Brigadier-General Ronen Manelis said Hamas was using the protests as a guise to launch attacks against Israel and ignite the area. He said violence would likely continue along the border until 15 May. “We won’t let this turn into a ping-pong zone where they perpetrate a terrorist act and we respond with pinpoint action. If this continues we will not have no choice but to respond inside the Gaza Strip,” Manelis told reporters in a phone briefing.
The Israeli security establishment wants to destroy Hamas and Fatah one after another and estimates that Hamas now has some 30,000 troops serving in its various security forces, including the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades and the Nuhba units, trained to operate in Hamas’ network of tunnels. These forces can’t really threaten Israel, but they can interfere with day-to-day life in the country. Hamas has few options left.
Israel wants Hamas, a Palestinian faction and ruling dispensation , to cease its military build-up, including the construction of tunnels and the firing of rockets towards Israel, while Israel’s closure regime must fundamentally change to allow for the recovery and development of the Strip through movement and access of people and goods. It is no coincidence that the military wing of Hamas decided that this week it would hold its largest military drill ever.
Almost all of Gaza’s residents have seen or at least heard these maneuvers, involving all of the Hamas armed forced as well as the militants of various other Palestinian factions. Rockets were fired into the Mediterranean and mortars and guns were fired in the air. Though the gunfire came from light arms, it was so intense that it set off Israel’s Dome missile defense system.
UN head calls for investigation
UN chief Antonio Guterres called for an “independent and transparent investigation” into the 16 deaths on Friday and European Union diplomatic chief Federica Mogherini followed suit, calling in a statement for a probe into Israel’s use of live ammunition. “While Israel has the right to protect its borders, the use of force must be proportionate at all times,” she said.
US Senator Bernie Sanders issued a statement condemning the deaths and declaring that Palestinians should be free to protest without fear in a series of tweets.
Many neutral Americans condemned the Zionist crime. The killing of Palestinian demonstrators by Israeli forces in Gaza is tragic. It is the right of all people to protest for a better future without a violent response.
Meanwhile, the situation in Gaza remains a humanitarian disaster. The US must play a more positive role in ending the Gaza blockade and helping Palestinians and Israelis build a future that works for all,” he added.
The protesters were demanding hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refugees who fled or were expelled during the war surrounding Israel’s creation in 1948 be allowed to return. “Have you heard any noteworthy objections to the massacre by Israel that happened yesterday in Gaza from those who criticize the Afrin operation?” Erdogan said on Saturday.
Still, Netanyahu on Saturday praised his troops for “guarding the country’s borders” after the shooting deaths. “Well done to our soldiers,” he wrote in a statement. “Israel acts vigorously and with determination to protect its sovereignty and the security of its citizens.”
USA blocks UNSC statement on Israeli terror attack
USA always come to the rescue of its illegal child Israel and misuses its veto to shield the Zionist criminal regime from any punitive measures by the UN or IAEA or ICJ and iCC.
UN chief Guterres has called for an investigation into the use of live ammunition against Palestinians at a protest on Friday
The Security Council held a closed meeting on Friday night to discuss the clashes along the Gaza-Israel border, despite a request from the US and Israel to postpone deliberations for Saturday amid Passover holiday eve, the Times of Israel reported.
As speculated the USA has once again blocked a draft UN Security Council statement urging restraint and calling for an investigation of clashes on the Gaza-Israel border that left 16 dead, diplomats said. Kuwait, which represents Arab countries on the council, presented the proposed statement, which called for an “independent and transparent investigation” of the violence.
The proposed statement also called “for respect for international human rights law and international humanitarian law, including protection of civilians. The draft council statement also expressed “grave concern at the situation at the border”. And it reaffirmed “the right to peaceful protest” and expressed the council’s “sorrow at the loss of innocent Palestinian lives”.
The draft statement was circulated to the council on Friday. On Saturday, the USA, the illegal father of Israel, raised objections and said it did not support its adoption
Palestine Gaza’s Hamas rulers condemned the US for thwarting the move at the Security Council and accused Washington of being “fully biased” in favour of Israel and encouraging Israel to commit more violence and terrorism against Palestinian civilians.
Council members “called upon all sides to exercise restraint and prevent a further escalation,” the draft said. The proposed statement stressed the need to promote peace between Israel and the Palestinians based on a two-state solution.
Israel the greatest terror
Strains are already apparent over Israel’s erection of a Gaza-style iron wall- fence on its northern border and over disputed offshore oil and gas fields.
If the Zionist violence in Gaza continues and spreads, Hezbollah hardliners can be expected to try to intervene. Iran’s leadership has repeatedly warned, in turn, that unlike the last Lebanon war in 2006, it will directly assist Hezbollah in any fight.
In fact, for all crimes it has been committing against humanity, Israel should be eradicated.
Seeking to show its military prowess to third world for new customers for its terror goods, Israel is busy in fueling crises in entire Mideast. And Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s hawkish prime minister, has made plain, to Russia’s Vladimir Putin among others, those current efforts by Iran to create a permanent military presence in Syria and Lebanon cross an Israeli red line. Netanyahu recently underscored his stance by launching air raids on Syrian bases used by Iran and shooting down an Iranian drone.
Thanks to US-Israeli efforts to weaken UN, it has become redundant. Previous checks and balances are missing. It is no use looking to the UN Security Council. When it met in “emergency” session to discuss Gaza, it could not even agree a joint statement. Saudi Arabia, which once pursued its own peace plan, is firmly (though tacitly) in the pro-Israel, anti-Iran camp. Likewise Egypt, where Sisi does not seek or talk about justice for Palestinians continues to block the Palestinians from leaving Gaza Strip even for medical reasons. . .
Urging the Americans to step in as honest broker is a waste of breath, too. On this subject, Donald Trump has shown himself to be as ignorant as he is mad partisan.
On 12 May, Trump is expected to repudiate the Iran nuclear deal – potentially toppling the whole Middle East house of cards.
Israeli forces have conducted an air raid in Gaza, a territory in which Israel and Palestinian militants have been fighting.
Upon murdering both Palestinians and fragile peace talks, Israel now takes the terror course to silence the Palestinians with US help.
Israel has been working near the Gaza border with their new technology. This stresses the Israeli military and their operations that are in conflict with those living in Gaza. Israel wants to minimize the terror and violence acts that are possible through the tunnel that they have bombed. Kenya emphasizes Israel’s priority on their safety.
The Israeli government has rejected calls from the European Union and United Nations for an investigation into the weekend’s violence along Gaza’s border with Israel. The deadly standoff killed 15 Palestinians and injured over 1,000. The clash came during a mass demonstration with thousands of Palestinians gathering along the border for what was supposed to be a peaceful protest against Israel’s decade-old blockade of the territory.
The Australian relays their perspective on Palestine’s struggle for freedom and what it means for the future between Israel and Palestine and their relationship in an international scope. Australia was one of the first countries to recognize Israel in 1947, but their resolution to the people of Palestine is long overdue. Australia wants Israel to resolve their tensions with the Palestinians.
Palestinian youths gathered along the Gaza-Israel border on Saturday, though the area remained mostly quiet, a day after deadly violence broke out in one of the biggest Palestinian demonstrations there in years.
In the southern Gaza Strip, residents said Israeli troops fired warning shots towards a crowd of youths, some of whom burnt tyres. Health officials said 13 people were wounded and an Israeli military spokesman said he was checking the details.
Hundreds also gathered on Saturday in Northern Gaza to pay their respects to at least 16 Palestinians killed and hundreds wounded during Friday’s violence.
Images posted online showed hundreds of mourners carrying caskets of some of the slain Palestinians through the streets of Gaza City as relatives were pictured weeping and crying for their loved ones. After burying 19-year-old Abdul Fattah Abdul Nabi, his family gathered in a tent to receive mourners, watching and rewatching a video of the moment they say Israeli soldiers shot him in the back of the head, the Washington Post reported.
Israeli security forces killed at least 16 Palestinians and injured more than 1,400 people who had mobilized as part of Friday’s annual Land Day protests, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. The ministry also noted that at least 773 Palestinians were wounded with live ammunition. Dr Ashraf al-Qidra, a spokesperson for the ministry, said that “most of the dead were aged between 17 and 35”. He also told the Guardian that the remainder of the wounded, some of whom were in a critical condition, had been “shot with live ammunition”.
The Israeli army was unable to confirm how many live rounds were fired by its snipers after claiming to know where “every bullet landed in Gaza”.
Mark Regev, Israel’s ambassador to the UK, defended Israel’s response on Saturday, saying it was proportionate and blaming Hamas, which controls Gaza, for Friday’s violence. “We can’t allow our border to be porous, we can’t allow the Hamas activists to tear down our fence and enter Israel.”
Tens of thousands of Palestinians had gathered on Friday along the fenced 65km frontier, where tents were raised for a planned six-week protest pressing for a right of return for refugees and their descendants to what is now Israel. The Israeli military estimate was 30,000.
Families brought their children to the encampments just a few hundred metres from the Israeli security barrier with the Hamas-run enclave. Football pitches were marked out in the sand and scout bands played. But as Friday wore on, Israeli soldiers on the other side kept watch from dirt mound embankments and shot at the protesters as violence broke out.
The Palestinian ambassador to the UN, Riyad Mansour, described Friday’s violence as a “heinous massacre”. He said that Palestinians expected the UN Security Council to “defuse this volatile situation” and to “shoulder its responsibility”. A senior UN official also told the Security Council that the situation in Gaza “might deteriorate in the coming days” and called for civilians to not be targeted.
Angry Turkey calls Netanyahu a mad fellow
People of Palestine are under Zionist existential threat. Hospitals in Gaza Strip face emergency situation without enough medicine and infrastructure to deal with the constant inflow of wounded Palestinians.
Turkey pretests against the Zionist fascism against the people of Palestine. Zionist criminal Netanyahu faces serious carnal charges and is likely to be out of job but he wants use the terror opportunity to impress the Zionist President to save him
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan who leads the only Islamist government in the world, on Sunday lashed out at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an escalating war of words between the two over the killing of 16 Palestinians in Gaza.
Erdogan called Netanyahu a “terrorist” after the Israeli Prime Minister said he would not be “lectured to on morality” from a country that “has been bombing civilians indiscriminately.” “Hey Netanyahu! You are an occupier. And it is as an occupier that are you are on those lands. At the same time, you are a terrorist,” Erdogan said in a televised speech in Adana, southern Turkey. “What you do to the oppressed Palestinians will be part of history and we will never forget it,” he said, adding: “The Israeli people are uncomfortable with what you’re doing.
The spat began on Saturday when Erdogan condemned Israel over its “inhumane attack” in Gaza after a major demonstration there led to clashes that saw Israeli forces kill 16 Palestinians.
The violence broke out on Friday after tens of thousands of people in the Gaza Strip marched near the Israeli border. More than 1,400 people were wounded, 758 of them by live fire, with the remainder hurt by rubber bullets and tear gas inhalation, the Gazan health ministry said. “I strongly condemn the Israeli government over its inhumane attack,” Erdogan said during a speech in Istanbul.
Israeli ultra fanatic Benjamin Netanyahu hit back: The fanatic joked that his the most “moral army” in the world will not be lectured to on morality from someone who for years has been bombing civilians indiscriminately”.
Those comments prompted Erdogan’s latest response.
Turkey had been a close ally of Israel for years until it comprehended the Zionist agenda against Islam, Palestine, Mideast and Iran.
Observation
Palestinians have not yet reorganized the basic truth that Israeli Jews are nuts and mad and they can misbehave the most unpredictably by pouncing upon Muslims as the jungle beasts do.
Jews are the worst kind of insane criminals in the world and they do anything and go to nay limit because they are mad jungle bosses. Americans who gave birth to Israel cannot be any better. .
It is most unfortunate that the USA continues to be the chief problem for world peace. Its veto should be sacked. The USA blocked a draft UN Security Council statement urging restraint and calling for an investigation of clashes on the Gaza-Israel border that left 16 dead, diplomats said.
The Israel and Palestine controversy has been going on for quite a while and their tensions are only increasing due to the many territorial and settlement issues. Many countries are relaying their own thoughts on how their tensions are affecting the international committee in terms of support and resolution. The increasing tensions range from protests to violent acts that are harming citizens in both nations.
Israel and Palestine currently disagree on many issues, ranging from Zionist terror attacks to legislation to settlements. Recent actions are contributing to the tension between the two countries and this tension has compelled international media outlets to relay their own perspectives.
The initiative behind the march defies the Israeli policy of disconnecting Gaza from the rest of the Palestinians. However, Gazans are not wretched and passive charity cases but a politically aware public
Repressing the fight for national rights and equality is not an exact science. Even after 70 years of experience, one cannot know whether killing unarmed protesters who did not endanger a single Israeli soldier will deter and thin the numbers of demonstrators in the coming weeks – or exactly the opposite.
But even 70 or 50 years of experience in repression is not enough for the army and the politicians to abandon their view of the Palestinians as marionettes of Hamas, just like they were seen as puppets of Fatah and the Palestine Liberation Organization in the past. Tens of thousands of unarmed people (even if some of them do belong to various Palestinian security forces) do not participate in a mass march, despite Israeli warnings, simply because they obey Hamas and its sophisticated tricks. If the Israeli military and the political leadership prefer to present it in this light to their home arena, for their own reasons, it demonstrates contempt for the Israeli public. If they really believe this, it is a chronic lack of understanding of the situation, which is characteristic of unelected rulers and regimes.
Gaza crisis is very important to Israel and USA for dictating terms to Arab world and Iran at the same time. How Gaza clashes could ignite flashpoints all over the Middle East
The Zionist army allows itself to violate international law and shoot at unarmed civilians, and even kill them, because Israeli society accepts this as an a priori act of defense, without investigating the details. And despite a few feeble condemnations, even governments around the world do not represent an obstacle to deter Israel. The March of Return – whether it continues or not – declares to Israel and the international community that the residents of the Gaza Strip are not wretched and passive charity cases, but a politically aware public.
The Israeli decision to use lethal means to repress a popular civil action is a political and not military-logistical choice. Despite the authenticity of the march’s message for return, the Israeli government and army are not afraid that the fulfillment of the right of return is now on the agenda. This is not the reason they gave soldiers orders to shoot to kill – the means that in the short and medium term is the surest to repress the protest.
It can be assumed that the Israel military forces and its spokespeople know how to provoke Palestinians and respond to any development: If the March of Return protests come to an end, it will be attributed to the iron fist used on the first day. If the demonstrations continue, they will explain that the fist was too weak.
The initiative behind the march shakes the stability of the central pillar of Israeli policy and its plans to prevent the Palestinian national project by severing the Gaza Strip from the rest of Palestinian society in the West Bank and Israel. This separation, gradually carried out over 27 years, not only directly caused the terrible economic and environmental deterioration, but also aided the creation of two Palestinian governments – which has also served Israeli intentions quite well. The march is a social and political initiative that is trying to bypass the two-government obstacle.
Even 70 or 50 years of experience in repression is not enough for the army and the politicians to abandon their view of the Palestinians were seen as puppets of Fatah and the Palestine Liberation Organization in the past. If the Israeli military and the political leadership prefer to present it in this light to their home arena, for their own reasons, it demonstrates contempt for the Israeli public. If they really believe this, it is a chronic lack of understanding of the situation, which is characteristic of unelected fanatic rulers and regimes. Israeli rulers are criminals.
It’s not Palestinian nationalism that is dying as being the view expressed by many fanatics in Israel, who attribute it to the political failures of Palestinian President Abbas. What is dying is the traditional organization that represented it until now – the PLO – and Hamas is failing in its attempts to become the alternative that is acceptable for everyone. Israel plays with fire as it uses even Hamas to its own advantages.
Palestinian society, which is sick and tired of its leadership and the political split as decided by USA-Israel fascist duo, is teeming with initiatives. People are feeling around for something new that will break down both the physical and psychological barriers that divide the various parts, while basing it on the components of national Palestinian identity acceptable to all.
The March of Return– whether Israel continues with its fatal repression of Palestinians, or not – is a step in the right direction. As with many initiatives for mass action, it is hard to know how the March of Return came about. Some of those behind the initiative are members of the relatively young generation who are furious over their groups’ descent into infighting. A few of them gained experience as activists against the internal Palestinian split in 2011 and discovered that their work to end it was not enough to develop momentum. The political groups – Hamas, Fatah and the smaller organizations – adopted the initiative. This is not a trick but political awareness.
World urgently requires an Islamic Army to protect the world from imperialist attacks and defend Muslims and their nations from enemy attacks. Turkey alone is capable of taking up that difficult challenge and provide stable leadership to Islamic world and world at large. Saudi Arabia and Iran, among the Muslim nations, are still under US-Israeli control.
UN should declare criminally fanatic nations like USA and Israel criminal states!
