Indian Politics: Wrong Foundations

In one sentence Indian polity could be surmised as a ply of money and muscle with the big businesses and media lords playing the central role while common people, as per the demands of any democratic rule, give popular legitimacy for the misrule by some vested interests. People vote and disappear from the scene totally for a full term as the vested interests, both national and regional, begin their deceptive actions, looting and crime on behalf of the electorates. India, which permits unwittingly the rulers to buy the representatives of State Legislative Assemblies and Parliament, is best example how worst a democracy could be in modern world. The rich rule the country with help of self interested politicians, bureaucrats by using media to support their "democratic endeavors' and cover up the inadequacies and black spots.

Focused on anti-Pakistanism, anti-Muslimism and destruction of Grand Babri Mosque and colonization of Jammu Kashmir, India, since 1497, has created a strong Hindutva lobby as well as a vote-bank political mode domestically and cent percent pro-Indian circles across the globe. By placing "right persons" in all key positions in the country and in assignments abroad, India pursued its domestic as well as foreign goals quite systematically. Indian politicians have used Muslims just as a vote-bank material and the Hindutva forces unwittingly and shamelessly have used Muslims both a threat to Hindu interests and terrorized them to be panicky about supporting Congress and others-called "secular" parties. Gradually Indian big business, media lords and political classes utilized all available resources to promote Hindu national interests while at the same time talking about democracy and secularism. But every thing is being fitted into Indian so-called national interests excluding Muslims interest. Indian leaders have remained insensitive to genuine concerns of Muslims who have become a mere vote bank material.  

Recent Parliamentary vote showcased exactly this phenomenon vividly. Indian strategies are at par with those of USA: Bossism, and aggression and bullyism in neighboring nations including Kashmir. Domestically, Indians want to Hinduization, militarization and occupation of Jammu Kashmir.

End of cold war gave rise to new equations and India has been trying hard to enter into partnership with USA and its ally in Mideast Israel. In the era of "terrorism", India has skillfully crafted the art of vote-bank politics to pursue its narrow interests at home and abroad. The Indian political parties have painted the Muslims as terrorism material to keep them under their feet and thumps. USA offered sumptuous opportunity for India to crush Muslims in India and Kashmir the way they relish. India has cleverly escaped the punishment for all its brutality and harassment of Muslims because USA, the global power, has offered its tacit support in tracking the "the so-called "fundamentalists and terrorists" in an around India. India hangs around for a so-called "strategic partnership" with USA.

Hoping to garner some share in Gulf energy resources, when the USA manages to control them effectively and making all out efforts to court Washington to showcase its importance in world affairs, as Russia did last decade and failed, New Delhi has offered "help" in Afghanistan, apart from the much hyped nuclear deal. By being in Afghanistan with US-led forces, India hopes to settle scores with Pakistan. Hence, there are aggressive Indo-US nuclearism efforts by media and ruling dispensation, even when most of Indians have rejected that illegal and immoral flirting, winning a vote of confidence in Parliament notwithstanding, presumably by unfair means.   

How many votes do you need? 

So-called secular parties are interested in attracting minorities for votes but not intended to do justice for them. But putting them under severe pressure and strains has become hallmark of Indian polity. Indian politicians supported by bureaucrats and intelligence play just the vote-bank politics. In India everything is calculated keeping in view the elections and vote-banks production. India makes strenuous efforts to control every thing in and around the country, as India manages victories in international and national cricket.

Cheap style propaganda against Muslims is continuing in all other states, including Jammu Kashmir where Congress rules. When police arrest gangs commits robberies and murders for money in towns predominantly of Muslims, like in Hyderabad, those arrested are produced before the courts, if at all they do, as "terrorists", although these persons have nothing to do with "terrorism" or even so-called Islamic "fundamentalism". But then all the members of a particular gang are Muslims and that is sufficient enough cause for "terrorist" arrests. Since they are Muslims, police color a gang as Islamic terrorist gang and done propaganda through wonderful Indian media that the gang targets only Hindus for murders and robberies. Media publishes awkward-looking photographs of the gang. 

Later, obviously, investigation bureaus do occasionally prove that the gang had nothing to do with "fundamentalist" Islam or Islamic terrorism and that gang was just a professional criminal gang. Police did such propaganda for causing bad reputation on Muslims. Prison population of India also includes large number of people who belong to religious minority groups along with the so--called Hindu low castes.   

World's bulk of media, as much as the anti-Islamic forces do, talk ill of those who do care to expose nefarious designs of countries like USA, Israel and India- all are so-called largest democracies.   

 Coloring the so-called "terrorism"  

Since terrorism and fundamentalism are invariably linked and related only to Islam and Muslims, India brands Pakistan and Bangladesh cross-border-terrorist nations.

And, as if, all other religions and people are non-terrorists and quite innocent ones. Many in the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs are doing propaganda that Maoists and militants of north eastern states allied with ISI (intelligence wing of Islamic state of Pakistan). Some times, they claim that they have evidences to prove it. That propaganda is done to cause bad reputation simultaneously on Muslims, Maoists and north eastern states militants.

Dilemma of Pakistan, a close of the USA, which India wants to destabilize and disintegrate, playing second fiddle to US agenda in Afghanistan and at home, is understandable. Pakistan is a virulent anti-communist state that allied with Anglo-American imperialists during cold war and Maoists have nothing to with them. But still India thinks it can successfully launch the anti-Muslim campaign any way it likes under the "terrorism" era. 

One fails to understand why the Indian media harp on anti-Islamism and anti-Pakistanism so religiously and so vehemently to the detriment of the Indian Muslims. India always enjoys being the big bully in the region for which the Indian intelligence agencies do the "needful", but why link the ISI (mark) to North Eastern states? Do the media feel so bold to say whatever they feel like and churn out paid anti-Islamic stuff so systematically? None can believe that the Indian terrorism is perpetrated by ISI. North eastern states militants cannot have alliance with Pakistani ISI. Majority people in Assam, Manipur and Tripura are Hindus who are being provoked by Indian network against other religions. Hindu population in Tripura is even higher than many of the states ruled by Hindu fundamentalist BJP.  

Cross-political-crimes 

The mutual rivalries and murders keep Indian politics going. Class antagonism is worse than any other antagonism. Ruling class parties like Congress talk more about religious antagonism for diverting minds of people from issues of class antagonism and other social tensions. 

While there are many economic and social problems other than religion and secularism, ruling class parties try to make religion and secularism as priority issues to convince people that other issues are non-priority issues or ignorable issues. These are characteristics of crude anti-progressivism of ruling class parties playing dirty politics in connivance with the opposition parties.  

Cross-religious-murders are not uncommon in secular India. Not only revengeful murders between rival political outfits, but even mutually coordinating or mutually befitting murders are also common in the country. In Bihar, Muslim landlords said that they are ready to support Ranveer Sena gang that was organized by forward caste Hindu landlords and supported by Hindu fundamentalist BJP. Who kills whom? 

Some times, these anti-progressive politicians, equipped with media support, also understand that it is not possible to satisfy people by secular politics in all cases. In cases of farmers' suicides in Vidarbha and Punjab etc, they cannot divert minds of peasant class people in the name of secularism or religion. In such cases, they talk about actual priority issues for defending their vote bank.   

Security and Insecurity 

Era of terrorism and tracking the Islamic terrorists for securing the world has created a crucial problem of insecurity for global Muslims, not just in USA, UK or India, but in these countries the situation has assumed monstrous dimension. Kashmiris keep dying day by day and no one is sure if he or she would be let alive by the brutal forces occupying Jammu Kashmir.

It is often noticed that fence eats away the crop. People charged with the task of defending and securing the life of common people themselves take recourse to terrorism, arson. Looting, rapes and vandalism, besides the routine genocide and destructions, thus, have been a regular feature in Jammu Kashmir. 

Kashmiri women are being raped by Indian terrorist military forces there with state protection and guidance, yet the India media just keep mum. Fascist security forces even rape Hindu tribal women in North Eastern states and they blame Pakistan for what do here. Antagonism between Christian Empire America and Islamic Al-Qaeda is enough an example to prove that Christian fundamentalists are not in position to make alliance with Islamic fundamentalists against other religions. Though there are some Christian militant groups in north east India, there is no evidence to prove that Christian fundamentalist groups allied with Islamic fundamentalists.

While Indian state bureaucrats are doing propaganda against Islam, other religious minorities, or specific religions, how can the state defend secularism? Fundamentalists are seen in all religions. Along with religious antagonism, racial antagonism and class antagonism are also seen.  

Holy India?

Most of those Indians, patronized by anti-Muslim media, who die hard to project India as the only great nation among the bad ones around, over decades, under the patronage of Hindu media, have developed intolerance to any criticism of Indian atrocities on Muslims in India, Kashmir and around, especially in Kashmir where India forces goon rampage quite freely and, as a result, several secret grave-yards have been discovered. Indian media think democracy does not permit any criticism of India by Indians, especially by Muslims in the country where they are allowed only to suffer. Every thing is being monopolized in the country, including the judiciary which is duty bound to protect the innocent people, including Muslims.

Holiness of Indian system is such that nothing has changed in India, in its policies both domestic and foreign. Indian terrorist occupation has not ended and its terrorist attacks on innocent Kashmiris and reckless genocides in JK have not stopped. And India keeps doing same old things in new modes. Now under "terrorism" era, India has been killing Muslims under the guise of tracking the "terrorists' branding them as "terrorists" and with US-led western support. The Indians are not at all bothered to ask Indian governments to stop atrocities on and ill-treatment s of Muslims. But when some one points out the ill-designs of Indians, many Indian agents get unnecessarily perturbed.

"Holy" India claims itself as a strong secular state but the majority of the Indians are not secular. Hindus want Muslims and others to be secular and socialize so that they see practicing Hindus in Muslims. "Why you live in Hindustan, why don't you become Hindus or behave like Hindus by giving up Islamic way of life and thinking", they argue. And most of political Muslims do oblige the Hindu masters as far as possible. Especially the Muslims, who are employed in government and private services, do project themselves as semi-Hindus. Funnier, the Arabs see Indian Muslims as Hindus first emboldening the Hindu political and bureaucratic sections to misbehave. And make Muslims take on their fellow Muslims.

Not only the Indian media are anti-Muslim by outlook, many of the politicians and bureaucrats are also not secular or democratic. Self proclaimed secular parties like Congress and SP are also not really secular parties. Their political appendages Muslim League in Kerala and MIM in Hyderabad behave in strange manners always supporting the Congress bandwagon and forgetting about Babri Mosque reconstruction issue while enjoying fruit of power share and parliament vote. So much so not only they demolish mosques in the country, the Hindus also rejoice by hoisting their nasty party/ national flags on top of Mosques in the country as it happened recently in Jammu aided by the security forces.  If one criticizes such notorious attitude of politicians in deriving sadistic pleasure, the critic is not spared by Indian media. Judiciary keeps criminal silence over such irrational behavior of Hindus. No Muslim can criticize anything in India, only praise Indians who insult, injure and crush them at every step.  That is Indian democracy and secularism.
