Palestine State : Mediators or Conspirators?
One of the problems delaying inordinately the peace process in Mideast is the negligence and indifference on the part of the official mediators and other brokers to clinch the deal and help establish the Palestine state. By branding the Hamas as the terrorist group, the Western powers support the Israeli fascist holocausts in Palestine. The West dictates terms to the Palestinians seeking sovereignty back form Israel along with lands confiscated form Palestine and conveniently shuns Hamas over its refusal to recognise Israel, renounce violence and accept existing interim Israeli-Palestinian peace deals.
In the name proactive roles in peace process, the Western powers have in fact made the situation in Mideast hostile to the Palestinians, now, the Hamas. The so-called mediators and brokers on the issue of Palestine state would pass for collaborators or even conspirators as the issue has been lingering on for decades while al talks and speeches made by all world leaders only helped Israel to kill the defenceless Palestinians and split the PLO into Fatah and Hamas. All the mediators so far have played double-roles in the region making the peace process talks never ending. US president Bush pretended to be engaged in peace efforts in 2007 but by 2008 he kicked his own efforts by praising fascist Israelis and slammed the Palestinians (Hamas).
I Peace and Pieces
Egypt has once again making efforts to make Israel see reason to abide by IL and Arab Peace Plan and settle the issue once for all. On March 02, reconstruction of the region - which was badly-damaged during Israel's 19-day offensive which began on December 27 - will be the focus of the international donor conference being held in the Red Sea resort in Egypt. The Quartet met on the sidelines of the conference on March 02.
After keeping silent for months, former UK premier Tony Blair is visiting the Gaza Strip in his first trip to the Hamas-controlled region since being appointed a Middle East envoy two years ago. As an envoy of the Quartet of Middle East peace mediators - the USA, the European Union, the United Nations and Russia - tasked with spearheading efforts to strengthen the Palestinian economy as well as pushing for peace, Blair is duty-bound to make peace with Palestinians first, but he ignored it for too long. Blair said he has no plans to meet Hamas officials during the visit, scheduled to last several hours and to be followed by a tour of Sderot, an Israeli town hit frequently by rockets from the Gaza Strip. Blair said: "I wanted to come to hear for myself, first hand, from people in Gaza whose lives have been so badly impacted by the recent conflict.I will relay their account of events, their assessment of what is needed for reconstruction, their goals for rebuilding a vibrant private sector and civil society, to this week's conference in Sharm El Sheikh." That is to say, the mediators trust fascist Israel and not the Palestinians whose lands Israel has annexed and is occupying.
Hillary Clinton, on her first trip to the Middle East as US Secretary of State, will attend the conference at Sharm el-Sheikh and will also join the Quartet meeting. Hillary Clinton starts her first tour of the Middle East as Secretary of State today with a mandate to reinvigorate collapsed peace talks. She will find, however, that support for a two-state solution the central plank in US-led efforts to tackle the crisis for almost two decades is at a record low. Not only is it waning on the Israeli side, which is under the new leadership of the right-wing hawk Binyamin Netanyahu, but it is also collapsing among Palestinians, who increasingly view the Oslo peace process, and the Palestinian Authority (PA) that was formed under it, as dead. Mitchell, preceding a visit by Hillary Clinton, was in the region to explore ways to re-launch Israeli-Palestinian peace efforts and to rebuild Gaza after a devastating Israeli offensive against Hamas last month. Clinton would also attend a conference of Western donors in Egypt next week that will seek ways to raise some $2.8 billion (2 billion pounds) dollars estimated as needed for relief work in coastal Gaza.
The West is committed to anti-Islamism and deadly against Muslims and so against Palestinians and, now against Hamas. Hamas need to be part of the peace talks. But the big problem is that they are unwilling to change their policies against Israel. And until they do there is very little chance of hope for the Gazans. Israel and USA reason that many Islamic nations and even every other Palestinian Political group Fatah recognizes Israel and have been able to have open dialogue with Israel and make friendship with USA, the global terrorist and unilateral nation. So surely Hamas and Hezbollah for the same reason must follow these foot steps and actually have a chance of peace. Otherwise the people in Gaza have no future other than death and destruction from both Hamas and Israel.
As a result of all these manoeuvrings and manipulations and pressure tactics only strengthened the Israeli resolve to go ahead with its fascist attacks on defenceless Palestinians and unleash holocaust in instatements. And the US-led West and UNSC just promoted the terrorist causes of Israel and others.
II - Growth of Illegal settlements
Pampered by Western powers led by the USA and EU, Israel has only disregard for UN and UNSC and goes on constructing illegal settlements in Palestine, thereby pushing the innocent Palestinians away for their localities in a sustained manner. Israel is also keen to control Palestine on many fictitious pretexts as USA is doing in Iraq and Afghanistan; they raise the body of security while make the life of Palestinians insecure. Israel wanted to give the Palestinians a state of leftovers. While the former US President George Bush warned of the dangers of a Swiss cheese a West Bank sliced up by Israeli settlements and military zones what was on offer was a bunch of grapes, isolated cities and cantons connected by single roads or even tunnels.
Israel, which controls most of Gazas crossings, has blocked the passage of cement and steel needed to rebuild since the war, allowing in only the most vital humanitarian supplies, saying this was aimed at preventing Hamas from rearming. West wants every body in the world to recognize Israel and not the Palestine or their legitimate rights. Hamas is an elected party, elected by democratic methods as other democracies in the world, they have the right to rule Palestine, but they have to kicks the Zionist terrorists when they come to kill the Palestinians. The USA, Israel and EU, have shunned dialogue with Hamas, citing its refusal to recognize Israel and to renounce violence and past peace agreements. In fact it is Israel that refuses to recognize any agreements and truce and demands unilateralism.
Israeli fascist leaders are keen to expand the illegal settlements in occupied Palestine and float, conveniently, the UN strictures. In 2007 UN reported that almost 40 per cent of West Bank was covered by Israeli infrastructure. 450,000 Israelis live alongside 2.4 million Palestinians in West Bank and East Jerusalem. Citing Israeli defence ministry figures, Human Rights Watch said settler population in West Bank and East Jerusalem grew 5.5 per cent in year to August 2008 and is four times what it was decade ago. Ariel Sharon encouraged civilians to settle in the territories after the 1967 war because military installations could be removed by subsequent governments. Palestinians should make very public plans for changes to Israels laws that they would make as Israeli citizens with equal votes and representation in the Knesset. It may serve to revive interest in the two-state solution amongst Israeli politicians
Blair was appointed as representative of the Middle East Quartet in June 2007 after he stepped down following 10 years as prime minister. Since his appointment, Blair has been spearheading several projects aimed at revitalising the Palestinian economy, including three planned industrial zones in the occupied West Bank. But Quartet has refused to have dealings with Hamas, which swept the Palestinian elections in January 2006 through democratic means, saying the group first had to renounce violence, recognise Israel and agree to abide by past peace deals. Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, revived in November 2007, have been on since the recent Gaza conflict. Western media claim Blair had been due to visit last July but that trip was cancelled at the last minute over security concerns after news of the trip leaked in advance. Blair also met United Nations officials to hear the latest on the humanitarian situation and the delivery of aid.
Hamas, the elected ruling party of Palestine, was threatened by US-Israel-EU combines and also was attacked by Fatah party people under guidance from USA and Israel through PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas. Threatened by the US-Israeli combines as well as Fatah group controlling West Bank Hamas seized control of Gaza in 2007 from Western-backed Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, after winning a parliamentary election a year earlier. Abbas behaves alike US-Israel nominee and not as representative of Palestinians.
Palestinian Authority PA, the Governing body of PLO is all but now defunct and would either waste away or turn into a kind of Vichy regime providing a cover for Israels continuing occupation of the West Bank and in effect is transforming the authority into a security subagent for Israel. Many Palestinian civil leaders believe that time is running out for a two-state solution, thanks mainly to increasing Jewish settlement activity and Israels refusal to relinquish military positions. Oslo is dying and so of course is the Palestinian Authority. The Oslo solution for two countries is coming under threat as Hillary Clinton begins work.
III- Pragmatism
Today Hamas is being recognized as the true representatives of PLO established by Yassar Arafat and PA, though they have no access to both because the US-_Israel combine control both PLO and PA and PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas. Hamas represent the Palestinians who elected the Hamas to form the government but dismissed by PLO Fatah president o at the behest of Israel-USA and EU. It is unfortunate, but Hamas needs to be reinstated in government.
The authority of the PA leader, Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian President and Fatah head known popularly as Abu Mazen, was rapidly diminishing. Palestinians are questioning the utility of the PA and asking, Is this really the only strategy we have, just to negotiate and negotiate? The PA is a house with nothing inside, said Qaddura Fares, a veteran Fatah member and former MP. In an attempt to establish the PA as a credible government, senior British and US army officers have been seconded to train the Palestinian Authoritys security forces, once made up of former Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) forces who had fought for years alongside Yassar Arafat and returned with him from exile in the 1990s. Billions of dollars have been pumped into the PA, money that its many critics say has made its leaders rich while doing little to improve the economy, which has been crippled by Israeli closure and restrictions on movement in the West Bank.
However, some Western officials have urged in recent days to include Hamas in peace efforts. British Foreign Secretary David Miliband said talking to Hamas was the "right thing to do." "There is a need to help in Gaza without granting legitimacy to Hamas," Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni said in Tel Aviv after talks with visiting U.S. Middle East envoy George Mitchell. Turkeys Prime Minister Tayypip Erdogan added his voice, telling Mitchell who visited Ankara before Tel Aviv Washington should engage Hamas for the sake of peace efforts. "Even though we do not approve Hamas' methods, Hamas should not be excluded from the peace process and should be integrated into the political system and the peace process," a Turkish official who was at the talks said.
More than 3,300 Palestinians were killed in the month of fighting in the territory that ended with another shaky truce in mid-January. Israel, which controls most of Gazas crossings, has blocked the passage of cement and steel needed to rebuild since the war, allowing in only the most vital humanitarian supplies, saying this was aimed at silencing Hamas preventing from Arab support and rearming. "The first and most urgent measure should be to end the isolation of Gaza, particularly by lifting restrictions on the movement of people and goods," Jakob Kellenberger, president of the International Committee of the Red Cross. He called on Israel to lift the restrictions.
Mrs. Clinton has toured the region and Tony Blair , at long last, has paid a surprise visit to Gaza - his first since taking the role of Middle East envoy two years ago and discussed reconstruction efforts in advance of an international conference in Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, signalling a shift in Mideast politics. Blair refused to visit Gaza even after the Israeli fascist attacks in Palestine. Probably, Blair went to Gaza to see how the war has impacted on people. Pity USA and UK are claiming to be democracies as Israel. He didnt visit the families who had their sons and daughters sacrificed in Bush's illegal war for his political ambitions. Well, he might lose his own lands to Jews and with luck he might get to experience it in person at the hands of a suicide bomber or a roadside bomb, and then he could write his report from his nice NHS wheelchair with his nice new prosthetic hand.
III- Post-Script: Where from here?
After the recent holocaust and with US-EU-UNSC support for Israeli invasions, hope for Palestinian state recedes as the new Israeli premier hawkish Netanyahu has avoided committing himself to continued negotiations on a two-state solution, offering instead what he calls an economic peace, whereby Israel would retain security control of the West Bank, allowing the PA to administer its towns. In return he would try to offer Palestinians more jobs and better conditions. They are already talking about one Israel with Palestinians securing equal rights in greater Israel.
Some Palestinians even say that if Israel did not soon agree to statehood, the Palestinians should abandon dreams of independence and confront the Jewish state with its worst nightmare a one-state solution, in which Arabs would, in decades to come, outnumber Jews. They are Its becoming a Bantustan government.
If Israel refused to grant full Palestinian statehood in the West Bank and Gaza it would be in the Palestinians interest to dismantle the PA. If the Palestinians are to remain under military occupation, whats the point in having an authority? If the faade of the PA is removed, Israel will be in trouble. If Palestinians lived under Israeli rule as they did for decades before the Oslo accords in the early 1990s they would eventually demand equal rights inside a greater Israel that included the West Bank. That would mean the end of a strictly Jewish state.
International Jews controlled by Mossad and CIA and others create illusions about security threat to Israel form Palestine and Iran so that the Zionist could evade deadliest punishments they deserve for genocides in Palestine including of children, women and old people. They want to completely wipe out the Palestinians from Mideast so that the issue of Palestine state does a natural death. With the support form USA, U and UNSC, Israel could in fact accentuate its holocaust designs quite effectively.
Every time the mediators negotiated for peaceful settlement of the Mideast crisis, which resulted in Israeli invasion and genocides in Palestine to be followed with a "truce" for a couple of months. But Israel-USA scuttles the truce by attacking the Palestinians on some fabricated pretexts. Hamas is being accused of firing toy rockets into Israel, but they dont reach Tel-Aviv but Israeli terror forces and heir missiles reach every object inside Palestine. That is Arabs should ensure real missiles for Hamas so that the lives of Palestinians are secured form Fascist elements.
The way US-led terror forces kill the Muslims in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan with help form India and Israel, it is amply clear that these anti-Islamic forces are indeed waging war with Islam on fictitious pretexts like Sept 11, WMD, nuclearism, Osama, etc and they would invent newer ploys to punter the resources in Islamic world and share them among themselves. .
But, still, the West is not criticizing the recurring holocaust unleashed in Palestine by an arrogant Israel, supported by al anti-Islamic terror forces. The so-called democracies must come forward in demanding punishment for the fascist Jews for their holocaust and destructions in Palestine.
