Hindus Attack Mosque and Muslims in India

Indian Hindus win votes mainly by keeping the anti-Islamic plank in tact. BJP-led Hindutva forces terrorize Muslims and make them shut u about their claim for Babri Mosque destroyed by Hindu terrorists in 1992 which Indian government has not yet rebuilt as promised by them .

Once again, the Hindutva terrorists are on a rampage of a Mosque now in Maharashtra while the evening prayers were being held . People who were part of the Ram Navmi procession attacked the police and a mosque and looted many shops belonging to the Muslims. Curfew has been imposed in Pusad, a Marathwada town near Nanded in Maharashtra after communal violence broke on Friday April 3, 2009 late in the evening. Two people have been so far killed and many others are injured in the violence that erupted during a religious procession. Trouble began on Friday when Ram Navmi procession reached Mohammadia Masjid in Shivaji Chowk even as the Muslims were yet to finish their evening prayers . A strong mob of over five thousand people were dancing on the tunes of the controversial song ‘Mandir wahi banaienge’  and started pelting stones into the mosque. As  stone pelting began from both the sides that soon took the entire area into a terror grip. The shops and properties belonging to the minority community were selectively looted. The violent mob also attacked a Masjid. A controversial anti-Muslim CD has been a cause of communal violence in many parts of Maharashtra in last two years. A couple of weeks before this incidence, when Arif Naseem Khan took over the charge as Minister of State for Home, the Government of Maharashtra banned the CD.

According to the eyewitness accounts, the procession was led by the sitting Shiv Sena MP Bhavna Gawli and local BJP leaders Laxman Talwar and Anil Thakur. The procession was raising provocative slogans against one community. After heavy stone pelting from both the sides, the mob attacked Qedwai Medical stores, Dr. Masood’s clinic and other shops belonging to the minority community. Before that the mob had beaten up Mohammad Khan Suny, the local Muslim leader who is fighting the Parliamentary Elections on Samajwadi Party ticket. BJP ally Shiv Sena has fielded its sitting MP Bhavna Gawli once again from this Marathwada town which will go to polls on April 16. “We had already informed the police of the tension that was rampant in the town ever since the election schedules were announced. But unfortunately they did not take any precautionary measure”, Mohammad Khan Suny said while speaking to ummid.com. “Worse, they were mute spectators even as the violent mob was looting the shops and beating the people.” Minister of Minority Affairs Anees Ahmed also confirmed the involvement of the local BJP leaders.

Muslims who still remain divided support the politicians who have their own Hindu agenda and would have to face much more in near future, if they don’t realize their pathetic  plight in the country and demand the reconstruction of mosque as the poll promise from candidates and parties in the ensuing Parliamentary polls. If they fail o afraid of doing that, their future would be diminished in this so-called democratic and secular India.
