Did you all forget which I didn't?

Yesterday (Saturday 18th April) during late hours I, as always, checked latest news at my computer and read that approximately 20 security men have been killed in Doaba, Hangu district and now when I am writing it, details can be read as to what had happened.

You being living back home in my beloved country Pakistan can very well ask me that ever since I am not living in Pakistan since 1976 why and how can I raise my eye brows as to what happens there or for that matter I should return back to the country I still love most and then criticize and comment but not otherwise. I very plainly admit that you have every right on me to hurl stone and admitting the fact I did Law in 1969 from Punjab University Law College, Lahore I am defenseless and would prefer to surrender before you rather than contesting unless I am myself my own enemy.

Reverting back to the caption, I, in all fairness, must first personify as to who are those whom I am including and addressing as you. I am too nave to identify, explain and even expose as to who fall under the category of you but nevertheless it includes all those who for many months in continuity, not weeks, days and hours were shouting at full throttle that Pakistan has gone to dogs simply because there is no judiciary. Let me quip that there had never been a vacuum in our judiciary despite the fact that bulk majority of my compatriots claimed that our former president had removed judiciary and I need not go the futile exercise as to who removed and whom but it is an admitted fact that most of my Pakistanis were united and were asking for revival of judiciary.

You, you and you, where are you now, I dare ask? As per knowledge and belief you are very comprehensive term which does not include only those who will read me (if flashed by my Pakistani media) but also who are called elite of the country. They were not only the lawyers, who of course took the lead but also included worthy retired judges, army generals, business men, students, clergy and of course the political parties leaders including those who even after more than a decade boast of winning by heavy mandate. It is worth mentioning that in this struggle or movement or rebellion, which ever pleases you, women equally participated and I have no hesitation to commend that never ever before such a huge number of our women folk whether wearing burqa or hijab or without came on streets to be with their male counterparts.

Let me quip that during those good olden days when my compatriots were struggling vehemently for the restoration of higher judiciary of Pakistan, some one believed to be not less than, Aristotle or Plato of the present time, very intelligently quoted late Churchill saying that he was fully convinced in propagating that any country which has an independent judiciary can never ever fail. Who did not quote Churchill and, by the way, how many even knew who Churchill is, you know better than me?

The society as a whole had struggled for restoration of judges and the agitators I am much too much terrified to read and see as to what is happening back home and that also not once in a while but on daily basis and that too all over the country. Once it used to be remote areas of Dir or Bugti etc where we had troubles and faced law and order situation but gone are the days since now suicidal attacks are conducted right in our heart, be it capital of the country and or provincial capitals. Time

I am ashamed of myself, to be honest, to have wasted my time for nothing by reading newspapers both English and Urdu, listening to news on different television channels, watching live talk shows and interviews on our various television channels. The nation as a whole was surprisingly given to understand that our problems even major ones like shutting down electricity, people committing suicide, soaring prices of daily essential commodities, rising unemployment and if you allow I add my own divorces etc were just because we do not have higher judiciary. What I regret now most and pen with great compunction is that if at all the things were not to have been changed even a bit, despite the fact that once deposed are back in their seats, then why did we drag Churchill amongst us?

Who is wrong Churchill or we proud Pakistanis (excluding me) is my imposing question? How many have already been killed (excluding incapacitated, injured) is the most burning and appropriate question I am to ask you all? How many more will be killed (I dont wish) is yet another question? Why none even condole the death of those including 25 security men and others who were ambushed yesterday evening in Hangu is the most pricking question? Who will answer me now is my last but very baffling question?

With my honest and solemn prayers
