All of us saw a fight between doctors and media personals on GEO , ARY, Express news and many other channels that was labeled as "doctors beating media personals
"So what really happened there..
An old patient comes in who was in the terminal stage of Cancer with a hemoglobin of 2 gm/dl ( the normal value is 16gm/dl ) and platelet of less than 5000 (normal 1,50,000) in the emergency department of Jinnah Hospital Lahore. The on duty doctors tried their level best to resuscitate the patient but unfortunately she passed away.
While the doctor was telling and counseling all this to relatives of patient, one of the relative who works for GEO TV called his team and started to shout at the doctor that the lady died because of your negligence. The doctor told him that no we tried all level best but this was Allah's will instead of listening to the doctor that person slapped the doctor on his face. Other doctors on duty came there along with security guards and stopped all this muffling between relatives of dying patient and doctors.
But they started protest in front of emergency, blocking all traffic, breaking pans of windows in emergency.In the mean time the media team comes in and they also started to fight with doctors on this issue.
> Later on the Principal of Allama Iqbal Medical College Prof. Javaid Akram came running from his office to stop all this but he was also beaten badly with glass bottle. One of the men from media hit him on the neck region, he felt un-conscious and fell down. On watching his fall on ground and bleeding, all doctors raged up with anger and then the fight begun. But of course doctors were less in numbers then hundred of media men in emergency. Usually 10-15 senior and junior doctors handle all the emergency and
the number of media men were more than hundreds. What you saw on TV is actually a doctor which was beaten by Media men. You could easily appreciate a man in black shirt beaten by media persons who is dr. Faheem (3rd Year Post Graduate in surgery unit three). The media labelled him as media reporter. Other men in that clip were all doctors beaten by some known and un-known media persons. Dr. Bilal, Dr. Abdullah, Dr. Abu Bakar, etc. all which were labeled by media as media reporters were doctors on
actual grounds.
You could appreciate the site of fight as well. It was emergency out side, neither office of MS/ Principal nor any locked room which was also propagated by media channels. After our worthy Principal was beaten and injured by media gangsters, we started fight. We started fight to preserve our dignity.
We started fight to maintain the discipline in emergency. We started fight so that situation like this never happen in future again. We started fight for welfare of our patients.
Now this was the real story that was propagated in totally a different fashion by media in their TV channels. Just tell me that who the hell are media person to decide who is responsible for negligence? The man who learn how to play with camera or the man who studied his/her profession for more than five years? This is a challenge from doctors that such critical patient is very difficult to handle. In many countries, such patients were given "MORPHINE" to die comfortably. Our crime was that we tried our best to save the life of a single human.
We doctor don't celebrate our Eids at home eating delicious food and this and that . we spend our Eids in the emergency department serving people we sometime works for a straight 36 hours , we study day and night for what ???? only and only to provide better medical care to the people and in return what do we get ??? beaten and blackmailed by these media people who works only and only for money and making crispy stories for their tv channels. Our crime was that we care about our patients, Our crime was that we tried our best to save the life of even "TERMINAL PATIENT" with devotion so that no life could end.
Our crime was that we do not bow before these blackmailers and so called gods of the society. We could fight with death angel to save the life of every single human, but of course we are not gods. We never complaint about that this country has never appreciated or given any thing to us. Our pay in Pakistan is less than 250$ with more than 125 hours/week. We know that other countries pay doctors 200 times more than this with duty of less than 45 hours/week. But we never complaint all this. What is our crime? Our
crime was that we are patriotic and rooted deeply to this soil? If these are our crimes, then hear this too that we will do these crimes hundred and thousand times, for the welfare and well being of this country, our patient, our noble duty and profession. We will never bow before so called gods or gangsters of society at any cost. We believe in one Allah, and He knows that we are not responsible for all this. If you still think, then make fair judicial inquiry of all this affair. Why all media persons who did FIR against more than 50 doctors including Principal Javed Akram were absent from first hearing?
This is because they knew as well that all this bullshit was done by media men and not by well-educated doctors who knows his duties.
So people of Pakistan and those who are the followers of true Peace and justice! please try to realize this issue you are being used by this media ..now a day's media is like a monster out of control I am sure about the fact that some day in your past life you or your children or you parents were helped by doctors and now is the time to stand with them in quest of truth! What media is doing is in front of you. It is declaring Pakistan as failed state and never highlighted bright aspects of Pakistan. Never mentioned in any News that more than 150 Million US$ investment happened in Gawadar and Islamabad in 2008-09. Always mentioned destructive face of the picture and tried its best to convey message that Pakistan is failed state. What you saw in Jung News? "Pakistan 2010 main kaisaa ho ga" published under supervision of Jewish "The Economist" journel. What you see in "Aafia nay Pakistan choor diya." declaring that Pakistan is going to destruct sooner. What you see in economy sector that "Karachi stock exchange crashed until end of 2010?. Don't you think all these news are pre-weave and controlled by some other country? This is what media told people of Pakistan as "Freedom of Press" Don't you see the programs on media channels having flavor of other countries? Don't you see the conspiracy of media against Pakistan as well which they declare as "Mirror of Nation"?
If you could not appreciate all these conspiracies of media, then at least you know your nearby doctor. I know that there are some black sheeps in this profession too, and they are present everywhere, but there are hundred and thousands of those which work only for YOU, only for Pakistan and only for serving people of Pakistan with devotion but with dignity.

Wajeeh, but sometimes Dr really don't care about their patients or wont stand up to the expectation, patients have.
A fresh example is this.
As a Dr , what you think, what should happen to them.
The Medical is very respected profession but this commercialize world has made them commercial as well.
Now majority of Doctors only care about their rights and money and not at all concerned about patients.
In past, there were many incidents when doctors went on strikes but they never closed emergency.

yes we know media is worse,but our doctors are also guilty,i myself being a jobless doctor who never got residency because i did not have "contacts" know inside outs of medical field.
the pasiha of doctors in pakistan is all fraud,only pawas and contacts of big wigs get promoted and the real talent goes to waste
also we should remember that we are muslims first than we are media men or doctors...but sorry ro say i have seen that doctors are worse secular people in our society,,,they see deaths daily but still they hate islamic people and islamic principles.anyone among doctors who prays is looked by others like he committed murder!
anyway both you doctors and media men are mostly the friends of enemies of islam so you must wait for allahs azaab to complete on yourself .allahs azaab always comes on faasiqeen,remember that.
i was appalled last year when i saw jinah hospital doctors under their principle taking out procession in favour of pakistani armys war operations in swat and waziristan under american command!!!!that operation as we know was all a drama to kill muslims and destroy mosques ,"a war against islam"
...thousands of innocent muslims got killed and hundreds of mosques were destroyed by this brutal anti islam operation by army and america ,same operation for whose support all doctors of jinah came out on streets
and when you munafiqeen doctors of jinah hospital were taking out processions in favour of swat and waziristan operation!!!!how could you even think that allah will forgive you?
may allah punish you people for this and make your homes come under such operations too.than you will know teyh pain and suffering of loosing some dear one
its due to so called "literate" people like you that whole society has turned anti islamic in pakistan now
doctors no where in world take out processions to kill people but you people under your secular principle came out in streets in favour of a brutal anti islam war operation,not even hindu or christian doctors would have done that.
anyway i pray that allah punish those munafiqeen constantly who are maligning the name of islam throughout world by their secular anti islam minds.
and also for your info the doctors are like ants on honey now ,so much in number!due to millions of private medical colleges plus million more pakistanis becoming drs in russia and china etc,,,so now doctors are not honourable and disciplined like they were say about ten years ago,now they are just a munafiq indisciplined crowd like lawyers,media men,clerks,thieves,judges and other common groups!and there are many ghundas among these so called doctors too
so please do not misguide people
