Islam is being attacked by all - including the so-called custodians of Islamic faith.  Saudi kingdom showcases its preference for America to Islamic faith.  That is shameful!

The Hajj to Mecca -- the world's largest annual human assembly -- is one of the five pillars of Islam and must be performed at least once in a lifetime by all those Muslims who are able to.  Since the hajj is considered to be sacred, the resources to be used for the Hajj pilgrimage must obviously be earned through proper halaal way.  Hajj should not be equated with that of a film show at a cinema hall which the fans want to see many times.

Holy Prophet of Islam had performed the Hajj only once in His life and those who swear by Him must not try to over take him by repeated Hajj voyages, just because they have plenty of money and Saudi Arabia seeks more resources from the pilgrims made from all sorts of routes.

The travel part of the Hajj also is expected to be made in appropriate manner without involving corrupt practices. Saudi regime is also expected to ensure that the resources the pilgrims use are pure, halaal and legal.

But Saudi Arabia has barred Syrians from entering the country to perform the annual Muslim hajj pilgrimage not because these Islamic norms are floated by them. Mecca and Medina authorities have done it for political reasons, marking the latest break between the two Arab nations.

The anti-Islamic decision to suspend Syrian participation in the holy pilgrimage, which has not yet been confirmed by Saudi Arabia, would be the latest in a string of moves adopted by Riyadh against the regime of President Bashar al-Assad.

The Syrian High Committee of hajj has announced the halt to the pilgrimage this year, due to a failure to reach consensus with the Saudi authorities.

The official SANA news agency reported that the Syrian committee "took all necessary steps for the 2012 hajj season, but the relevant ministry in Saudi Arabia did not sign the accord as it does every year.

That is indeed unfortunate..

Saudi Arabia by playing into the dirty hands of anti-Islamic western powers led  by USA-UK terror twins that buy its energy resources on petrodollars,  serving the cause of anti-Islamism.

Riyadh is unnecessarily opposing the Shii’a nations led by Iran and Syria as a key sop to western sponsors of anti-Islamic terrorism. The OPEC kingpin and other energy-rich nations of the Gulf have long demanded that Assad step down while voicing support for the Syrian rebels.

Damascus has repeatedly made thinly veiled accusations that "some Persian Gulf nations" are supporting "terrorist" groups in Syria, the regime's blanket term for the opposition.  In early August, the opposition Syrian National Council confirmed that Saudi Arabia and Qatar were providing light arms to Syria's rebels, but not enough to take on the regime's army.

The Syrian uprising, ignited and engineered by the CIA, has steadily militarised in the face of government repression, has left many dead since it erupted in March 2011, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. Had Saudi banned only the ruling circles from Hajj that would have made some feeble sense. But it has interfered with the Islamic faith of people of Syria. Already civilians have born the vast brunt of the toll but the Hajj ban could aggravate their agony further. .

Instead of being US stooges, Saudi and Arab League must stop promoting US agenda in Mideast.   After all, they could not influence the western powers to make the besieged  Palestinians free and make a home for themselves as Palestine state.
