1) When the CJ was about to leave his house, electricity supply and telephone lines to his house were cut off, rangers and jammers placed outside his house.

http://www.thenews. com.pk/daily_ detail.asp? id=142274 ) However the rangers did not stop them at that point. The were stopped at the exit of the judges colony on Margallah Road and then at the entrance of SC.
2) Repeated threats by police, interior ministry and PPP to stop and force the Chief Justice to change plans, etc. (Only some places reported it such as:
http://www.dawn. com/2008/ 10/21/top5. htm). The instructions were so strict not to let anyone even remotely affiliated with the CJ enter the area that even Amin Fahim was stopped (

3) Dogar ran from the premises of the Supreme Court, with his car over 80 km/hr, on the wrong side of the road, breaking two traffic lights! This was also said by Aitzaz on the latest episode of Bolta Pakistan (

5) Finally ONLY lawyers were allowed to enter the premises and not journalists (a couple allegedly sneaked in. Mentioned in Dawn. Apparently they are terrorists !)
6) The standoff was 4 hours and the event at SCBA was 2 odd hours. No one showed any of the clips live. Some reporters were reporting it and were able to get some broken stories. I was watching geo and saw the reporter get interrupted when he was about to discuss the police stand-off.
7) The journalists were barred from setting up their sattelite devices to be able to broadcast the CJ's address live. Strict instructions not to telecast it live. Many have confirmed this (I can put her in touch with them if she promises that they will not be harmed).
8) Only Mushtaq Minhas raised this issue in his talk show. No other talk shows or hosts raised it? I have been told it was because Talat's and Hamid Mir's shows had already been recorded earlier but the rest? Will they cover it tomorrow?
The media is under strict control of the PPP through the editors and CEOs. Geo, News, Dawn and pretyt much everyone else has links with the PPP. Reporters have been specifically told not to give the news of the CJ importance or to cover him live. In addition there is a lot of pressure from the PPP to hide news of the CJ in middle pages and to report it partially.
No real coverage by PTV, Radio Pakistan, APP. All they said was that the CJ said he'll make revelations on Nov 3rd which they will conveniently not cover because of the PPP.

Sherbano (Sherry) Rehman's flips
Sherry Rehman added a new twist claiming to be the hero in shining armor and said that she had given instructions to ensure media was able to cover what it wanted to?
Really Ms. Rehman? Can you point out one newspaper that has a complete accurate story? Or our journalists all terrible that they can not come up with one coherent story? And if that was the case why were the able to telecast Sher Afghan's incident live for hours and have endless analysis on it then?

The real test of the government is here. People are looking forward to hearing the Chief Justice's speech live on 3rd November where he will disclose the anti-state activities of many people. All of Pakistan is waiting for it. Will PPP prevent the legal CJ from addressing the Rawalpindi Bar?
Word of advice to PPP: instead of discussing how to prevent emails from Harvard between ministers why don't you work on fulfilling Benazir's will. It was Benazir's will to have CJ restored, it was BB's will to have Zardari take over the party and BB's will to have Zardari become President. How convenietly has the first part been ignored.
