Subject: Dr. Aafia's ex husband's interview: Rubbing Cyanide in the Wounds

Dear Editor: Assalamo Alaikum.

Can man be worse than hardest stone? Yes, man becomes lowest of the low. No beat on earth can be so low. Recently we saw the carnage in Gaza at the hands of Israelis killing over 1300 innocent civilians using the DIME bombs and other weapons of mass destruction. Same feeling we had after reading an interview conducted by Aroosa Marsoor in the News. The unilateral bulldozer type interview clearly meant to create confusion and influence the Sind High Court on the day when Dr. Aafia's case against Government was to be heard was prepared by international and local agencies who have no heart and are certainly lowest of the low. Shame on them and shame on the News for publishing such a filth which amounted to rubbing not slat but cyanide in the wounds. It was way below the professional journalism. Every stupid and idiotic thing uttered by Dr. Aafia's ex husband who is a relative of CIA puppet and puppy Mehmood Durrani and who shaved his beard as soon as he
reached USA after telephonic Nikah with Aafia, was published without cross questioning by the interviewer who appears to have less intelligence than a Down syndrome baby. It really hurt me and thousands of readers who held high The News in their hearts. It really seriously tarnished the image of the The News. Many of us are thinking to turn to some other newspaper after reading such heartless and inhumane mutilation of truth and human sentiments and human relations. I hope the News will publish this letter in its entirety.
We have seen the pictures of markedly beaten and in shock pictures of Dr. Aaafia from Bilgram airport. The airport has many clear signs of being a USA base even carrying USA eagle. How a stupid person can say that Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui who is the brilliant Dow graduate and 99% marks in USA examinations and Head of Epilepsy Department at the most prestigious USA Medical Center i.e John Hopkins can beat her elder sister with a "plastic" bottle and thus produce such debilitating picture of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui? To say that Dr. Aafia's children are in Karachi is amazing! If it were so why the "caring" dad did not rush and run for the children and informed the local and international press? As a matter of fact the ex husband surrendered all his rights on children in divorce case. He says that Dr. Fowzia did not allow him to see his child Ahmad. Well when Ahmad was brought to the home of Dr. Fowzia through open gates, hundreds of people entered the gates along
with numerous media men who could have stopped this stone heart person? He remained totally silent and spoke when Dr. Aafia's case was to be hear ed in the court and it is due for hearing on March 23rd in USA. He remained totally silent and did not join any protest rally etc reflecting his "love" for the children. The answer of the Government in the court also clearly reflects the intention of Pakistan Government to not to support release of Dr. Aafia and her children who are perhaps the youngest terrorists of the world! Maryam was only 4 and Suliman was 1/2 year old. When you can not defend the suffering innocent human beings and start piling tons of lies you do not deserve to be the title of human being. I appeal to all human beings to support Dr. Aafia and her children's release from the torture and State Terrorism of USA Government.

Sincerely yours,

Prof. (Dr.) Anwar Ul Haque
