A Free Kashmir: Random Thoughts

                                        I

Be Indian, praise Hindus and Kill Kashmiris

Unable to showcase its "victim" syndrome quite effectively to make profits by using terrorism as does the USA, India is nervous and restless now, I can see, so are its post-paid agents. Indians are now almost voiceless more so after the Mumbai terrorism because it failed to yield the desired results.

My Hindu readers often ask me not to write bad things about mother India and only praise it as much as I can. Being an India i have no option but to two the Indian official line and paint Muslims as terrorists, real or suspected ones. The comments Indians and pro-Indians make on my articles are the usual stuff the Indian secret services supporting India state terrorism write to all editors who publish me. Let me tell you they have made huge success in "containing" the media because basically most of the editors by mold and nature are anti-Muslims or anti-Islamic or both. On Mumbai terrorism I have got huge piles of comments more negative than I expected. I have no time for them so generally I don't reply them. I keep receiving several nasty comments mostly from Indians from India or abroad and their expressions show they are sick escaped from a mental hospital without completing the medicament or just trying to be back there; their dirty language reveals the actual Indian mindsets.

Generally, I get a plenty of letters on my writing on Jammu Kashmir my support for the freedom cause of Kashmir against Indian national interest. Indian media and Most Indians seeking favors support Indian case in Kashmir stating JK is a part of India, but they don't even know simple fact that India annexed its neighbor in 1947 quite tactfully by bribing Hindu king there. They say as an Indian living in India I must vehemently support Indian case whether it is right or not, but fail to understand that Indian national interests cannot ruin the genuine interests of innocent Kashmiris who Indian terror forces keep killing more for fun than vengeance.

They try to terrorize me in many words. This is the usual practice of Indian networks, intelligence wings plus agents as well as Hindutva agents in and outside India coercing the journalists to fall in New Delhi's line. They ask the newspapers and online papers not to publish any thing that is not pro-India. In fact several editors have written to me about Indian callous attitude towards me, especially India peaces democracy to its neighbors. A few newspapers i n India and abroad, including Pakistan, have succumbed to Indian fascist pressure tactics of praising them too much and warning them not to publish me in their "revered" papers.

The message for me from all this India mischief is that I must protect plus support all nefarious designs of an arrogant India against Muslims in India and neighborhoods support its annexation of Jammu Kashmir, Indian state terrorism, its genocide in Kashmir and glorify secret grave-yards discovered recently. Only that way, they assure me, I could a perfect Indian, a core patriot.

However, once, perhaps recently, I received one interesting letter from an Indian cautioning me against dreaming of making India a real secular democracy free of hidden agendas because India, Indians and their mindsets would not change as and if I expect so. Maybe s/he is right.

Indian Siege of a Kashmir Village since 1965

Of course when the entire Jammu Kashmir is being occupied by an arrogant India that annexed it in 1947 quite tactfully by bribing a Hindu King there, an individual village does merit any focused attention, since every village is under Indian occupation. But a village near Kupwara town under Indian terror occupation deserves special attention now.  This village should open the eyes of the world that is being fooled by India by trying all tricks, including terrorism to gain sympathy for its genocide in JK. About 30 kms from Kupwara town and located close to Line of Control (LoC), Lashdet village was originally based on about 170 houses. Following its occupation by troops in 1965, the house owners were allegedly forced by Army to flee to Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK). "Lashdet had 170 homes but during 1965 Indian Army harassed and terrorized people here and forced them to cross over to the other side of Kashmir. Twenty families returned to the village in 1973. Now there are only 40 families left here," said Ghulam Mustafa Khan, an elderly resident, adding, "Government has forcibly settled us in Kumkardi where we are facing many problems like there is not enough space for rearing our cattle and other livestock." Kumkardi is around 27 kms from Kupwara town. "Army has occupied our land and houses from the last 53 years without paying us any rent. As troopers have changed our homes into a transit camp, we are not being allowed to till our land or enter our houses. We want our whole property back so that we can live our life with dignity," said the village head, Abdul Latief Shah. In fact Kashmiris seek the entire Jammu Kashmir back from Indian occupiers.

The village has been under occupation of different Army companies. The dislocated residents have accused the State government of being indifferent towards their plight. "The authorities have never bothered to visit this place. Some political workers visit us from time to time but for their vested interests and without addressing our grievances," said Abdul Gaffur Khan. The dislocated residents have threatened of crossing LoC if government does not address their demands.

                                        Kashmir Poll and Indian Grief

The turnout in the fourth phase of state elections by the state's 6.5 million eligible voters, in Muslim-majority constituencies was slightly more than 50%, with many Muslims voting despite not accepting Indian rule in their troubled state in the disputed Himalayan region, occupying India has conducted the poll.Thousands of paramilitary soldiers and police wearing bulletproof jackets and carrying automatic weapons patrolled polling places across the region. The elections for the state legislature, which began Nov. 17, are being held in seven phases through Dec. 24. The staggered balloting allows the government hold the poll at any cost by repelling the protesters and to deploy thousands of security forces in each area in an attempt to prevent a repeat of deadly violence during elections in 2002. Police used batons to drive back hundreds of anti-election protesters in the village of Kurhama , 30km (19 miles) north of the main city, Srinagar Two protesters were shot dead in the town of Baramulla .

Muslim freedom leaders have called for a boycott of the vote in Jammu-Kashmir state, saying it will only entrench India's hold on the region.. Some have been detained in recent months under a law that allows police to hold people for up to two years without trial. Anti-election protests were also reported in the nearby town of Baramulla and seven other villages in the region, the police officer said. In one clash, at least six photographers, including one from The Associated Press, were injured by baton-swinging police.

Kashmir, presently occupied Indian terror forces, was put under federal rule in July following the collapse of the state government over an illegal land transfer deal for a Hindu shrine. Indian government has unleashed terror regime by arresting and torturing Muslims for protesting against the Indian poll.

The freedom leaders rightly argue that the polls strengthen India's hold over the region. Indian brute forces have managed to kill thousands of defenseless Kashmiris till date and by way of supporting Indian genocides in Kashmir Governor, N N Vohra, even lauded the role of the Army in combating freedom movement by unleashing state terrorism and providing much needed support to the people living in the far-off and remote areas of Jammu and Kashmir. Indian governor who has not yet said it is the duty of the Indian occupiers to protect the Kashmiris from Indian terrorism, did not observe it is their collective responsibility to ensure the welfare of the freedom fighters who sacrificed their life for Kashmir and their families, and the widows and children of our brave Kashmir martyrs.

The counting of ballots will begin on 28 December. A pro-freedom movement is sweeping the poll turnout as the popular uprising against Indian yoke in Jammu Kashmir is still alive in Kashmiri psyche. An unusually strong turnout in the first phase of the elections on Monday took everyone by surprise. A man was shot dead when protesters clashed with police.

India enjoys a free terror existence in Kashmir

Once again the terror attacks in India, now in Mumbai, have given the necessary pretext for Indian forces to target Muslims in India and Kashmir and to malign Pakistan in Indian and pro-India global media.

The wonderful India media tell the people exactly what and how much they are supposed to know about India and world and nothing more, not even one more word. That is how Indian mindset is being molded in the society. Of curse, they would argue they learnt the tricks of the trade form the US-led West. With regards of Muslims in India and Kashmir the media are extremely over-conscious about the briefing "standards".

As the pro-India global media, managed by the US-led anti-Islamic nations, kept on harping on Pakistan's cross border terrorism and training programs to terrorists, Indian military forces, quite cleverly, continued to militarize Jammu Kashmir with more and more enforcements adding more companies to different part of the occupied JK. Indian military has a free hand to deal the Kashmiris, because Indian leaders and media consider them as "terrorists and cross border terrorists". And, yet, the India media never let the Indians, including the Hindus, know the Kashmir's state terror reality. Towns and villages are being subverted into battlefield and grave yards of Muslims.

Knowing that Kashmiris could be easily silenced by force and cash, the Indian terror forces occupying JK are preoccupied with all sorts of nefarious activities in the state. Even while Mumbai terrorism occupied the national psyche, India forces are with their usual dirty techniques of terrorizing innocent Kashmiris. Killing, torturing, raping, harassing etc go on as a usual Indian business in Kashmir. Thousands of people  took to streets staging a massive protest against the troops of 36 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) for their alleged involvement in outraging the modesty of a girl at Dandhipora village of Vailoo area in Islamabad district of South Kashmir. Reports pouring in from Dandipora indicate that troops of 36 RR barged into the house of Mohammad Abdullah Khatana during the intervening night of December 3 and 4 at around 11:30 pm and tried to outrage the modesty of one of Khatana's daughters.

                                 Post-Mumbai Harassment

Now the renewed terror attacks in Mumbai, India would like to further militarize the stolen Kashmir so that USA doe snot ask India to surrender sovereignty back to Kashmiris. Already Kashmiri Muslims are being harassed in many parts of India. As the Indian investigations have begun probe in the terror strikes in Mumbai, the Kashmiris have again come under the radar of security agencies in New Delhi and other parts of India. They are being harassed by the security agencies and forced to leave the rented apartments by their landlords. Sadiq Ahmad, a computer professional said, "Delhi police and other security agencies are keeping constable vigil and watch on the movement of Kashmiris. Some of them have also been picked up for questioning". A student Mansoor Ahmad, son of a senior police officer in Kashmir, who was detained by cops at Indira Gandhi Airport, New Delhi before boarding the flight, told Rising Kashmir, "The security officials stopped me on the mere pretext of identification. I displayed my identity card to them but they did not accept it and started harassing me. I was not allowed to board the Srinagar-bound flight".

Indian notorious media and intelligence networks at work and quickly terrorize Kashmiri Muslims. Some Kashmiris complained that the landlords have asked them to leave the rented apartments. Who will ensure security of Kashmiris living in different Indian states? Pro-India leaders say Kashmiris living outside should not be targeted but what about those Kashmiris living inside the state?
