The PM announced setting up of a Flood Relief Fund and directed the federal ministers to donate one month’s salary to it. He also directed all federal government officers in Grade-17 and above to donate one-day salary for the flood victims. Sugar is selling at Rs. 70 a kilo and expected to rise up to Rs. 100 during the ensuing Ramadhan, thanks to the Sugar Mills cartel and its manipulative import from Brazil.
