The Economist of London has predicted on the basis of polls that Mian Nawaz Sharif, Leader of Pakistan Muslim League (N), would be the next Prime Minister of Pakistan. I agree with that analysis. Having just returned from a six week long stay in Pakistan, I would like to say, why? The TUQ (Tahir ul Qadri) ‘sit in’ took place a couple of hundred yards from my house in Islamabad. I would also like Click here to read Full Article

Pakistan Army – Myths & Facts by Dr Farrukh Saleem

The army should not indulge in politics. Definitely not. The army should not be buying off politicians. No question about it. Every citizen of Pakistan, whether an army general or a civilian minister, should be punished if found guilty by a court of law. Absolutely no debate about that one either.Yes, the army would have to learn that a unidimensional national security strategy singularly focused Click here to read Full Article

True Identity of Ajmal Kasab by Usman Khalid
Posted By: Usman_Khalid On: 30/Nov/2012 Views:1556 Replies:0
We in Pakistan have serious doubts about the identity of Ajmal Kasab. His picture shown on TV before he was arrested showed him to be wearing a wrist band which is worn by a certain segment of extremist Hindus. The only time I saw him speaking on TV his accent was not Punjabi of any area of the Punjab. He was probably from South India. Moreover, the team of lawyers sent by Pakistan to see Ajmal Click here to read Full Article
