May I plead the most honourable, honest and highly capable judges of our higher judiciary to tell us please that do they in their most sagacious heart of hearts really believe that some (read most) of our politicians are not corrupt ? And, when confronted with the law most of them go scot-free due to the inefficient/partisan trial conducted by their appointees, lack of evidence and hairsplitting

On a serious note, the spectacle of the fiasco met by the PMLN rally in which neither they could stick to any timings, nor the announced schedule of halts enroute or the public addresses by MNS or the over night stays or attract the crowds visualized by the planners, makes one wonder if their entire leadership – big and small put together cannot plan and execute a simple event of a rally from Pind

Strange are the ways of Allah and Allah be praised. While a galaxy of the Pakistan army senior officers died in a mysterious C-130 Hercules plane crash on 17 August 1988 at Bahawalpur that included President Zia ul Haq, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Akhtar Abdur Rehman and the United States Ambassador to Pakistan, Arnold Lewis Raphel, the following escaped the ultimate

No doubt that the SCP verdict of Friday 28th July 2017 is an historic decision in the history of Pakistan, and how I wish that it ushers in a new era of a corruption free Pakistan as being claimed by IK and his likes. But would it? A million dollar question!! Like it or not, the cancer of corruption has spread its tentacles so deep down in each and every segment of our society that it would take

National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) used to charge Rs. 70/- for the On-Line transfer of Rs. 10,000/- to another NBP bank but w.e.f. July 1st has started charging Rs. 380/- for the same. On checking up it transpired that within a city the On-Line transfer charges from one NBP to another NBP are still the same, but for the on-line transfers to outstation NBP banks the charges have been increased almost

I think Imran Khan & Co. are being just naïve in demanding the resignation of the PM on the grounds that he as a sitting PM and the Chief Executive of the country could influence the JIT’s functioning in his own favour. Agreed – but to some extent only. But, what would happen if MNS resigns? Someone from the majority party, that is MLN be asked to form the govt. Again, what would be the MNS stat

It was indeed a welcome gesture on the part of the PM to participate in the Holi festival in Karachi which must have further strengthened the confidence of the Hindu minority as being equal citizens of Pakistan. It must have also pleased Quaid’s spirit up above in the heavens to see his famous 11 August 1947 address coming to life where he had said, “You are free; you are free to go to your temple
