The release of video by Pentagon is seen as an extraordinary step in the wake of Pakistan's stern reaction so as to justify the attack.

The video shows the Taliban attacking the Allied forces just inside Afghanistan. This fact has been admitted by the Taliban in the press as their 'brave action'. But the attack on the military post with Pakistani flag waving high and the killing of Frontier Corps personnel has not been justified clearly.

Probably the US considers the attack by the Taliban was supported and backed by the military personnel since it was being conducted very close to the Pakistani military post and the Pakistani soldiers were not taking any action to stop them.

This again justifies the contents of the Rand Corporation report just released on Monday.
