Dear conscientious journalists
Eversince these legalized fraudsters have taken to power, all your seemingly principled stands have vanished. Where are your scathing attacks on government to bring the truth out, on following issues?
- Financial bankruptacy of government within a year.
- Less than effective PM's office
- Balance of power between President & PM
- Cowardice in the face of Indian threats.
- Un-constitutional arrests in the wake of Bombay drama club
- Hijacking of lawyers movement
The lists goes on & on. It was a treat to read, watch and listen to you guys in exposing previous government's lapses. Although I personally believe that this drama of democratization of Muslim countries is basically a tactic of west to defeat islamic ideoplogies, the roles that you guys played in exposing truth on all fronts was admirable.
All decisions are being taken outside parliament; President is holding 2 offices where as he should have resigned from his party affiliations; officially paid trips are being arranged for children's admissions to foreign universities, plane loads of people are going to perform umras at national expense.....
WHY ARE YOU ALL SO QUIET?
WHERE ARE YOUR SCATHING ATTACKS?
SHOULD WE ASSUME THAT YOUR CONSCIENCE USED TO SPEAK ON LAPSES OF MUSHARRAF ONLY OR IS IT A PRINCIPLED STAND?
SHOULD WE START BELEIVING THE RUMOURS THAT ALL THOSE WHO LAUNCHED A MEDIA WAR AGAINST PREVIOUS GOVERNMENT WERE BEING FINANCED FROM ABROAD?
DID YOU ALL REALLY HAD A ONE POINT AGENDA? ANTI-ARMY? ANTI-MUSHARRAF? OR WAS YOUR OPPOSITION FOR THE SAKE OF COUNTRY?
Your silence or lukewarm opposition really makes one wonder whether we have any one left in our ranks, with moral courage or have we all been maimed, bought, sold, silenced?
Please take the government to task as you used to. Please bring the truth out or at least throw their lies back in their face as Hamid Mir used to run TV recordings in front of previous government ministers.
We were never this low in the community of nations even when we had allegedly un-elected leaders? Can you ask them what law making have they done that has left us any better off than we were before? Have all extra-judicial prisoners been freed? Have all missing persons been accounted for? Have all Mukhtaraan mai's and that lady Dr. Shazia got justice? Expose the truth please. Investigate their tall claims ? Remind them their fake promises? Print pictures of government ministers roaming in truck size cars with tinted glasses and no number plates....
