After 14th of August 1947,Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah took over as the first governor general of Pakistan, while Liaquat Ali Khan was the first Prime Minister of Pakistan. Unfortunately Muhammad Ali Jinnah could not stay with newly born Pakistan for a longer period and died on 11th September 1948. It was almost impossible to have a leader like him at that critical situation. And maybe we could not get a leader like him anymore.
Foreign policy of any country has the role of backbone. The importance of right foreign policy cannot be neglected. After the existence of Pakistan, Liaquat Ali Khan was given an invitation to visit Russia, but unfortunately he did not do that. Instead to Russia, he decided to visit America. And I think that it was a major mistake by him. From the very first day we decided to run after America and we went away from other countries of the world. During the period of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto the foreign policy was quite improved. We were at good terms with the Muslim World and the rest too. First time in the history of Pakistan, Islamic summit was held in Pakistan and that was the major achievement. After him, a few leaders did try to have a better foreign policy but unfortunately they could not do that. Our expectations were linked with US only and we neglected all others.
Pro American foreign policy has never been in favor of Pakistan but unfortunately our leaders could not realize it. It is an open secret that the best friends of Pakistan are China and Saudi Arabia only but even then our all expectations are from US only. As a result we are going away from our very own friends.
After 9/11, we became the very close strategic partner of US. Our base were used against "˜'Terrorists". But even after this, we were not safe. A series of suicide attacks and bomb blasts rocked the country and as a result, the condition of our beloved motherland became pathetic. Our enemies tried their best to destroy us. But, Salute to our great army, police and security agencies who gave their lives for us. They did not take care of themselves and sacrificed their present for our future and still they are fighting for the permanence and betterment of our motherland.
The question now rises that what did we get in this war?????????????????? Prestige ????????? Dignity??????????? Honor??????????????? And the answer is very simple????????????  NOTHING BUT LOSS. This is the reality that black sheep are always there  in each and every society and off course we do have such sheep in our society, but this is the reality overall Pakistani nation is a peace loving nation and we have nothing to do with terrorism, extremism and fundamentalism. But today nobody in the world admits our role against terrorism, on the contrary we are known as terrorist.  Our so called politicians and leaders are failed to plead the case of Pakistani nation. As a result we are not given respect anywhere in the world. Today, our blood has become the cheapest blood in the world.
Everybody knows that whenever we feel unsecured outside, we come inside the home because we know that we are safe and sound inside the roof of our home. But if we are sold to our enemies from our very own home then we could not get safety and security anywhere in the world. Amel Kaansi, Dr. Rehman, Dr. Saeed and the most recent Dr. Afia are a living example for all of us. Still a large number of Pakistanis are awaited by their families. Nobody can answer about these lost Pakistanis.
I remember the remarks of American attorney during the trial of Amel Kaansi about Pakistani nation. He said openly that "for the sake of money Pakistanis can sell even their blood relations". And the statement became very much true when one of our "BELOVED" leaders  said that we have earned bounties of money by handing over "TERRORISTS" to America. I do not think that our courts are this much weak that they cannot identify the terrorists or they cannot punish them. If anyone is caught who is involved in unfair activities, he must be trialed in Pakistan only. By handing over our own Pakistani fellows to US, we are losing our  prestige. It shows that today even after 62 years of freedom, we are slave of the West mentally.
The black deeds of our leaders have really affected our future. When we are abroad then we do realize that what kind of respect we are given and how we are treated? Either in Pakistan or outside the Pakistan we are unsecured everywhere. No one pays attention to the issues what we face everywhere in the world. I must say that the Western Non-Muslim Journalist  who raised the case of Dr. Afia Siddiqui is much better than we so called "˜'MSULIM LEADERS" who could not dare to plead her case with proper follow up and keen interest. And really if they did not change their attitude, we will be destroyed. No one will come to our rescue and it will be too late to do something for the betterment and protection of Pakistani Nation.
May God show that right path to our leaders and help them to realize the real value of a Human Life. AMEEN"¦"¦"¦"¦"¦"¦..God bless us all.
