Palestine Security against Israeli Terror Techniques-V

   -Dr. Abdul Ruff Colachal

------------

President Barack Obama's attempt to restart the negotiations during his first year in office began with much fanfare with the appointment of Northern Ireland peace broker and former Sen. George Mitchell. But it failed amid Israeli-Palestinian recriminations and Arab reluctance to back the process without significant concessions from Israel.  U.N. chief Ban Ki-moon met with Mitchell at the world body's headquarters in New York and said planning for a Quartet principals meeting was under way. "We are now discussing when would be appropriate timing for principals of Quartet to meet together," Ban told reporters at the UN. "It may not happen during this month but this is a subject of continuous consultation." The Jordanian Embassy in Washington said will stress the importance of relaunching negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis under a clear and time-bound plan that addresses final status issues between the two parties, achieves a just and lasting peace and establishes an independent Palestinian state.

Obama chose to promote peace, mostly with Russia, he took some decisions in refraining from installing missile shields in the world and announced cutting down of US nuclear arsenal. Under the false assumption of agreat terror power in Mideast, Israelis look down upon the world. The shuttle tours of the Zionist terrorists in Europe and Egypt had a very important agenda of “shield” to have first strike capability for the Israeli terrorists in Palestine. The strenuous efforts by the Israeli, American and British and other rogue states to remove Hamas from power and place their Western-backed Fatah rivals in 2007 have failed miserably. Israel announced on 06 Jan that it successfully tested the Iron Dome system, which intercepts short-range missiles of the type fired from Gaza and Lebanon. Counseled and partially funded by anti-Islamic western powers and developed at a cost of more than $200 million, it shoots down incoming rockets within seconds of their launch. A homemade projectile costs less than $200, while intercepting one would cost around $100,000. The anti-Paleslitne system is so sophisticated that it can almost instantly predict where a rocket will land, changing its calculations to account for wind, sun and other conditions in fractions of a second.

Israel has also been building a controversial terror barrier in and around the occupied West Bank in recent years. Ignoring the protests from Palestine, Israel's fascist government has approved plans for the construction of a terror barrier along its border with Egypt in a bid to keep the Palestinians under terror control. It will be built along two parts of the border - near the Red Sea city of Eilat and on the edge of the Gaza Strip. With a view to escaping Zionist brutality and death and get some work to live in whatever conditions. In recent years, thousands of migrants have crossed into Israel via Egypt. Egyptian security forces said fascist Israel had not informed them of its plans, but that they would not object so long as the barrier was built on Israeli soil. Both Egypt and Israel are now fast becoming strategic partners against Palestinians. Egypt also pretends to be a mediator for Mideast peace.

The Zionist reimge continues to threaten the very existence ef Palestinians. The Iron Dome rocket defense system, reportedly to be deployed near Gaza in May, would make the life the Gaza’s population, already crippled by Israeli terrorism,  more miserable as the Western Axis states along with UNSC and Quartet watch Israeli air-strikes as a mere fun. Since 2006, following the capture of an Israeli soldier by Gaza Palestinians, terrorist Israel and its weapon ally Egypt have kept Gaza largely sealed, mainly to contain Hamas. The Islamic group pushed to wall by both, in turn, tried to force open the borders by firing crude rockets, often triggering harsh Israeli retaliation. Population of Palestinians, as expected by Israel and Christian states, has declined by the regular genocides by fascist Jews.

The recent terror "barrier" developments will restrict Hamas' military options, but not its control over Gaza. Demonstrating its position of power, Hamas last week opened its first four-year police academy to mark the anniversary of the Dec. 27, 2008 start of Israel's military offensive against Gaza. On the first day of the war, massive Israeli bombing raids had killed more than 250 Hamas police in their posts. Hundreds of young Gazans competed for 155 spots in the academy's freshmen class. The young cadets jogged along Gaza's coastal road in black track suits in the morning drill, chanting slogans about liberating the homeland stating,. "We wanted to tell the world that you can't suppress the government of Gaza"  Fridays Israeli aircraft fire missiles at a series of targets in Palestine.

Last Friday, its target included tunnels, a Hamas training site and a metal workshop. They killed some more Palestinians. In reply Gazans fired a rocket toward the Israeli city of Ashkelon and at least 10 mortar rounds toward Israel's border, causing no injuries or damages. Hamas  said the mortar fire came in retaliation for an Israeli air strike that killed a Gaza gunman and wounded three earlier this week. Three of the mortars hit the Kerem Shalom crossing, the main conduit for humanitarian goods into Gaza, but caused no damage. In response, Israel closed the crossing, stopping a shipment of food and medicine. Hamas loyalists clashed with Egyptian troops over Egypt's border wall. An Egyptian border guard was killed and seven Gazans were wounded in a brief exchange of fire. Egypt's Foreign Ministry issued a stern warning, saying it would not stand for another violent protest on the border. Some, meanwhile, have questioned the effectiveness of the steel wall, saying tunnel smugglers could simply dig deeper.

The Fatah Palestinian government announced that it is enforcing a boycott of goods made in Israel’s West Bank settlements and has confiscated more than $1 million in merchandise from shops and companies. Fatah Palestinian Economics Minister Hassan Libdeh said the boycott of settlement products is long overdue. "Consuming settlements' products is wrong, nationally, economically, politically, and must stop right away," Abu Libdeh said in West Bank city of Ramallah. The confiscation of settlement products, which began in November, marked the most serious government effort to date to enforce a boycott.

Palestinians consider Israel ’s continued settlement expansion as the biggest obstacle to eventual independence and say Israel 's recent pledge to curtail construction is insufficient. Targeted items include juice, canned goods and cosmetics. Israeli products, including those made in settlements, are commonplace in the West Bank, either for lack of a Palestinian-made alternative or because consumers prefer them to local goods. As a result, previous Palestinian efforts to stem consumption of Israeli-made goods have failed. A ban of goods made in Israel would violate interim peace accords, but the international community agrees with the Palestinians that Israel ’s West Bank settlements are illegal. Several European countries are also making efforts to boycott settlement products.

Like USA does it while launching fresh terror attacks on Muslims in Islamic world, Israel also has launched an Operation Cast Lead I, and it could continue the trend by going for Operation Cast Lead II, then Operation Cast Lead III, and so on, each time killing some more thousands of innocent Palestinians including children, and each one is going to be worse than the last, and the consequences for Palestinians and Israelis are going to be unimaginable. Rubble, sewage, malnutrition, crying babies, humanitarian crises what Israelis would do if a foreign army did to this country? If another country sent F-16s, Apache helicopters, white phosphorous, drones, tanks and battalions into Israel, if any nation bombed and killed over here like we bombed and killed in Gaza, then rubbed our noses in it afterward, would we want to make peace with them?

The Palestinians want East Jerusalem as their capital and say each expansion of Jewish housing there is making partition as part of a future peace deal more difficult. The USA, the Palestinians and the EU condemned the new Israeli building plan. Israeli-Palestinian talks broke off a year ago and the Palestinians refuse to restart talks until all Israeli construction in the West Bank and east Jerusalem is halted. The Palestinians rejected a partial Israeli settlement freeze as not enough. The Saudi foreign minister said the international community needed to get tougher with Israel.

One does not know if Arafat would behave like Abbas with regard to Hamas after letting the west and Israel pait them as terrolirsts. Literally the Fatah party its leader Abbas represents Palestine, ignoring the duly elected Hamas government. Obviously, Abbas is working against the PLO and Palestinians’ interests by ignoring the Hamas as per the instructions from Israeli and Western leaders in the funny name of freedom. Meanwhile, the Hamas government has set up a committee to provide information to European lawyers investigating Israeli war crimes in the Gaza Strip. The judge who heads the committee said on 20 Dec that the foreign lawyers acted independently and were not hired by the Hamas government and Hamas government would provide documents, reports and evidence of crimes to all international bodies aiding the Palestinian people in bringing Israeli civilian and military leaders to trial and issuing warrants for their arrest.

US policy of encouraging Israeli arms deals goes against Obama’s stated  goal of Mideast peace. It is an international shame that even in this globalized world, terrorist countries like India and Israel keep Muslim nations under their brute custody and US-led western rogue states are occupying part of Islamic world and kill Muslims in a sustained manner according to their preplan.
