Deterioration of US-Pakistan Tensions

-COL DR. ABDUL RUFF

-----------

US with their hordes of spies and security contractors (blackwater etc) are creating havoc in Pakistan. Their puppets Zardari Gilani were brought into only to do the CIA dirty work so the America could destabilize and weaken Pakistan. 35000 Pakistanis have died since Mush dragged the whole country in this WOT. USA is attacking Pakistanis, both civilians and military, and also using its proxies to target the military and intelligence agencies.

Many in Pakistan and elsewhere ask: Why the heck is our military and civil leadership taking it lying down?

Too much of dependence on US military aid ahs caused the breakdown in Islamabad. For some years now, Pakistani regime has opposed US imposition of its terror will on the people of Pakistan and all efforts by USA and its fascist media to bring the Pakistani leadership and strategists back on US rails have failed badly, causing panic in Washington.

Even though they give arms to Pakistan as part of service charges for their assistance in killing Muslims in Pakistan and Afghan border, Americans fear they have lost the control of Pakistan in real terms even with enhanced military aid.

There is a serious stumbling block in the bilateral ties. Even as the very serious problems in the Pakistan-US relations obtaining an irreversible twist, both sides claim they are “working” to overcome the same. Although the ties on military front are trying to limping badly in order to show that they are still working and workable, neither Pakistanis nor Americans seek to reinvent the terror ties. While Americans are angry because Pakistani leaders have not done “enough” for the cash and other favors they received so far, Pakistanis just hate the American occupiers and drone terrorists from the bottom m of heir soul.

Admitting to problems in its relations with the US, Pakistan said on April 12 the future of the ties depends on parliament, which is currently reviewing the terms of engagement with America. The Pak-foreign ministry spokesman said everything hinges on what the final policy guidelines they get from the parliament and all are awaiting for this process to complete. He hoped that after the completion of the parliamentary process, relations with the US would be further strengthened.

Pakistani regime has informally asked NATO to withdraw  the terror troops form Pakistani soil, but USA insists on prolong the occupation until the Silk routes fully cleared for energy transit purposes. USA wants to use Pakistani soil to shift terror goods to Afghanistan but the regime in Islamabad is not very enthusiastic about that especially after the NATO attack on Pakistani post. Pakistan has objected to US arms to Afghanistan via Pakistan.

CIA is eager to fix Pakistan at the NATO meeting so as to get its nod for NATO dirty terror job.  As always, America is now trying to arm-twist the Pakistani puppet regime by asking it to attend a NATO meeting to ensure Pakistani routes for NATO terror operations. Islamabad is over-suspicious of US moves on Pakistani soil especially after the terror attack on Pakistani post killing several Pak military personnel.

Pakistan hoped the meeting would help push the dialogue process forward for more military aid. It seems there have been meetings at different levels between the two countries to discuss the future course of action and to improve the relations on the basis of mutual benefit and mutual trust.

Despite tremendous pressure from Washington directly and through puppets controlling the Arab League, Pakistani Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) on April 6 rejected the US pleas for arms to Afghanistan via Pakistan. The Parliamentary panel presented a revised report before a joint session of parliament. The panel reviewing the future terms of engagement with the US said the country's territory should not be used to transport arms into Afghanistan and that Islamabad should seek an unconditional apology from the US over a NATO air strike that killed 24 soldiers. The committee also recommended that no private security companies or operatives be allowed in Pakistan. It called for an end to verbal agreements with other countries and said the security of Pakistan's nuclear assets should not be compromised.

The committee, however, recommended that only food and medicines would be allowed as NATO supplies. But NAY TO could sue that opportunity to push in their own terror items as well. Pakistan has no control over the NATO projects and programs.

However, the revised report calls for future relations with the US to be based on mutual interest, an immediate end to drone attacks, along with not allowing the country or its airspace to be used for the transport of weapons into Afghanistan for NATO-led troops.

This report held Pakistan to indicate it was still far from reaching an agreement with the USA on how to improve ties that had deteriorated after a series of major crises. The Pakistan Foreign Ministry admitted both sides were still at odds over issues of US drone strikes and the deadly NATO attack on November 26, 2011. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Abdul Basit confirmed that both sides were discussing a parliamentary framework agreement that would tax NATO convoys travelling to Afghanistan and resume compensation payments to Pakistan for targeting terrorists.

Speaking in the National Assembly - the lower house of parliament - PCNS chairman Raza Rabbani said the report was unanimously approved by the committee members. The US-Indo agreement on civil nuclear agreement has significantly altered the strategic balance in the region and therefore Pakistan should seek from US another similar facility. "Pakistan reaffirms its commitment to the elimination of terrorism and combating extremism in pursuance of its national interests," Rabbani said.

There are serious problems in the Pakistan-US relations and both sides were working to overcome the same. Although high-level contacts between Pakistan and the US have now resumed, a formal resetting of ties is on hold until the Pakistan parliament completes a review of their bilateral ties. No timeline has yet been announced for the Pakistan parliament to complete a review of ties with the US.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar discussed the recommendations of the parliamentary committee with Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani. Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdul Basit admitted that there were problems in the relationship with the US and that the future of the ties depended on parliament, which was reviewing the terms of engagement with America. Pakistan wants normal relations with the US but their new dimensions will be set by the parliament which is discussing the future line of action with the US," Basit said.

The government must ensure that no overt or covert operations in Pakistan should be allowed nor will foreign countries be allowed to establish bases in Pakistan.

An Observation

Pakistan has a special vested interest in keeping the secret lie about Sept11 hoax.  Gen. Musharraf had fooled Pakistanis by parroting the US lie about Sept-11 hoax and Pakistanis were forced to believe that some Osama and friends had done the Sept-11 in all powerful USA.  Musharraf, other politicians, military leaders also joined the CIA partying in telling the people of Pakistan that their soil was allowed to America to attack the imagined and bogus “enemy” supposedly living in Afghanistan along with secret WMD arsenals.

Its membership on the notorious UNSC Pakistan would use very sensibly to get the NATO terrorists leave the Pakistani soil and to end the US threats to Pakistani existence.

Pakistani leadership, both military and civilian, paid by the USA for their anti-Islamic terror services indoors almost on regular basis, is not entirely averse to US terror techniques killing Pakistanis and Afghanis and other Muslims.   Nor is it afraid of Muslims being killed by targeted drone attacks.

But what the leadership is objected to is the targeted killing of Pakistani military personnel and attacking military posts.

Pakistani elites, enjoying western culture and opposing Islamic way of life, just love American “stuff” and are eager to renew the terror ties and resume drone attacks on Pakistanis. Basit said Pakistan wants normal relations with the US but their new dimensions will be set by the parliament which is discussing the future line of action with the US. "We have never broken the bilateral ties," he added.

NATO fascists as their terror policy in Islamic world kill only ordinary people and do not target the leaders and military officers. Pakistani regime is not really perturbed by the NATO fascist killing of Pakistanis because the leaders and military have been by and large spared by the NATO terrorists.

The civilian rulers also carried forward the Bush-Musharraf lie about Sept-11

So long as the NATO gang criminals did not target military posts sand personnel, the Pakistani regime had no problem at all.  The government also called those killed by the NATO as terrorists and did not – and do not - care for the people of Pakistan. as terrorists and did not – and do not - care for the people of Pakistan.

India seeks opportunities to snub Pakistanis and their leaders openly. Pakistan claims that through the recent meeting between Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Indian terror PM Manmohan Singh in New Delhi, both leaders reiterated their commitments for improving bilateral relations. They seem to have also expressed the mutual desire for taking pragmatic and practical steps to improve ties. Pakistan has repeatedly said the dialogue process between the two countries should be uninterrupted and result-oriented.

The government in Islamabad should seek an unconditional apology from the US on the unprovoked border post attack Nov 26 last year in Salala in Mohmand Agency that claimed the lives of 24 Pakistani soldiers. Those held responsible for the Mohmand Agency attack should be brought to justice. The US should also give assurance that such attacks do not take place in the future.

Pakistan's nuclear program and assets cannot be compromised under any circumstances since a major goal of NATO occupation is to steal Pakistani nukes and place the blame on Al-Qaeda and Taliban , among others.

USA wants to destroy Pakistan and still will like to talk about lack of democracy there as in all important Muslim nations. . .
