I have mixed feelings about this article. Whereas, I don't believe everything it is saying, I do believe that GEO needs to be checked. I have seen many instances where reports on GEO were just simply lies. A case in point was the Lal Masjid incident. GEO, overwhelmingly, gave the terrorists inside a mouth-piece. In one instance, the leader of the terrorists inside claimed that there were no weapons in the Masjid and that government was lying about them. Well, I turned to PTV (A Mouth-piece for the government, I know), images don't lie. The PTV reporter was right next to the terrorists who were in FULL BATTLE GEAR, Gas masks; Grenades, RPGs, and they were firing on the police and the army while women and children were running away from the scene. So GEO did not know this? They had reporters there as well. I turned to GEO and NO MENTION OF ANY WEAPONS BEING FIRED BY THE TERRORISTS. All I saw was more the bull crap the terrorist leader was spewing out.
TV is a very powerful medium of communication and according to extensive research down by Sigmund Freud and Gustav Le Bon; Crowds tend to lean towards ideas that are presented to them in a radical and extreme manner. They tend to believe extremism rather than balanced thought. The more extreme the idea, the more followers a leader can have and the more radical the effect. What GEO is doing amounts to a text book case of manipulating the crowd psychology? Trust me in works, in Adolph Hitler's Mien Kamph, he swore by it. Observe how he was able to manipulate people with his extremist ideas.
If you have time, read a book by Wilfred Trotter called, "Instincts of the Herd in Peace and War". I bet you will watch TV and specifically GEO in a whole new light. For starters, PERMANENTLY BAN GEO.

I am sixty years old now when we were children there was nothing unhealthy amusement axcept radio but we were not allowed to hear that because there was no other program than songs ,that is why our generation is unaware of several realities which a twelve years old child of present generation knows thoroughly, and it is because a child of today watches tv channels like GEO. GEO is a channel which try's to show us every incident in its real shape.But people like the person who spread this mail on the net to favour mush (an Illegal president of Palistan) are just like that ugly queen who ordered her nation to break all the Mirrors. she thought she can hide her ugly face in this way.That was a period when there was no way to know about the people living fifty miles away but my dear this is a setellite world.BBC NCC poke their noses even in your bedrooms and u cannot hide the ugly realities by putting Ban on GEO tv .I want to say it for hundred times GEO GEETEY RAHO "GEO TV" shagufta
