Danger to Pakistan ideology By Zaheerul hassan

Pakistan came into existence on August, 14 1947 on the bases of two nation’s theory. The theory emerged on religion grounds, which revealed that there are two majors nations, Muslims and Hindus are inhabitants of South Asian’s piece of lands. These nations cannot live on same part of the world because of their conflicts, over culture, religions and norms. However, Pakistan’s authority started with an extremely task of introducing Pakistan as an independent state .It was really a gigantic tasks. The identification phase started in 1947 is still on because of numerous factors.  Pakistan faced multi dimensional problems since it inception because our adversary never mentally accepted the partition of India. That’s the reasons it established relations with powerful countries and various blocks for its survival and identification. Therefore we can say that Ideology and identification is correlated and dependent on each other but Americans, Western and Hindus have become permanent danger to our ideology.  Anti Pakistan elements supported by foreign hands are trying to make a dent in our ideology again. In this connection US, India and to some extent Afghanistan are working in destabilizing and fragmentation of Pakistan.

What is ideology?  The body of ideas reflecting the social needs and aspirations of an individual, group, class, or culture is known as Ideology the other definition of it is a set of doctrines or beliefs that form the basis of a political, economic, or other system.
Moreover, we can say that ideology is a set of aims and ideas, especially in politics. An ideology can be thought of as a comprehensive vision, as a way of looking at things (compare Weltanschauung), as in common sense (see Ideology in everyday society below) and several philosophical tendencies (see Political ideologies), or a set of ideas proposed by the dominant class of a society to all members of this society. The main purpose behind an ideology is to offer change in society through a normative thought process. Ideologies are systems of abstract thought (as opposed to mere ideation) applied to public matters and thus make this concept central to politics. Implicitly every political tendency entails an ideology whether or not it is propounded as an explicit system of thought.

Pakistan Ideology.  The ideology of Pakistan stems from the instinct of the Muslim community of South Asia to maintain their individuality by resisting all attempts by the Hindu society to absorb it. Muslims of South Asia believe that Islam and Hinduism are not only two religions, but also two social orders that have given birth to two distinct cultures with no similarities. A deep study of the history of this land proves that the differences between Hindus and Muslims were not confined to the struggle for political supremacy, but were also manifested in the clash of two social orders. Despite living together for more than a thousand years, they continued to develop different cultures and traditions. Their eating habits, music, architecture and script, are all poles apart. Even the language they speak and the dresses they wear are entirely different.
The ideology of Pakistan took shape through an evolutionary process. Historical experience provided the base; with Sir Syed Ahmad Khan began the period of Muslim self-awakening; Allama Iqbal provided the philosophical explanation; Quaid-i-Azam translated it into a political reality; and the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan, by passing Objectives Resolution in March 1949, gave it legal sanction. It was due to the realization of Muslims of South Asia that they are different from the Hindus that they demanded separate electorates. When they realized that their future in a 'Democratic India' dominated by Hindu majority was not safe; they put forward their demand for a separate state.

The Muslims of South Asia believe that they are a nation in the modern sense of the word. The basis of their nationhood is not territorial, racial, linguistic nor ethnic; rather they are a nation because they belong to the same faith, Islam. On this basis they consider it their fundamental right to be entitled to self-determination. They demanded that areas where they were in majority should be constituted into a sovereign state, wherein they would be enabled to order their lives in individual and collective spheres in accordance with the teachings of Holy Quran and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (S. A. W.). They further want their state to strengthen the bonds of unity among Muslim countries. According to his wishes and in accordance with the inspirations of the people of Pakistan, the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan passed the Objectives Resolution. The adoption of Objectives Resolution removed all doubts, if there were any, about the ideology of Pakistan. The Muslims of Pakistan decided once and for all to make Pakistan a state wherein the Muslims shall be enabled to order their lives in their individual and collective spheres, in accordance to the teachings and requirements of Islam as set out in the Holy Quran and Sunnah.

Pakistan authorities have made lot efforts to establish as an independent Islamic state since 1947. She joined all independent for a, prime minister and other delegations have visited various countries. Somehow later on Pakistan tilted towards US because concerned responsible leaders of 50’s probably felt danger of communism and socialism.  Pakistan was use to be consider as moderate country of world map prior to 9/11 episode. Any how after the said incident the world has started promoting us as a terrorist country. CIA, RAW and Mossad collaborations created instability and radical groups of the whole world stated moving in this region to fight the American invasion in Afghanistan and Iraq. The various debates on Islam, Islamism and sharia law in open Democracy have reflected different currents of thought on these great issues in the context of modern political and intellectual developments: including the use of religion for ideological ends, and the controversy over the speech of the Church of England's spiritual head which explored the place of religion-based legal codes in modern Britain.
The contributions have included Meghnad Desai's thoughtful article "The roots of terror: Islam or Islamism" (6 February 2007) which identified "Islamism" - a "political ideology which uses religious language [for a] purpose like any other political ideology: to win power" - as the root of terrorism; and Sami Zubaida's challenging response "Islam, religion and ideology" (14 February, 2007), which argues that although this distinction may be valid under some circumstances, the period since 9/11 has seen many points of convergence between Islam and ideology. In short we can say that Pakistan identity is still under discussion on various fora. Our adversary is getting benefits out of this situation. She is bluffing US, NATO on the name of allies. All terrorists acts has linkage with Indian notorious agency RAW.  The concerned agencies should make efforts to get hold of actual culprits actually storming terrorism, so that we should be able to shed away the label of terrorist country.

Concluding, I must say that Pakistan efforts towards peace are wonderful. Its ideology lacks from the ambiguity. Our constitution is an Islamic constitution which forces us to go for adoption of Islamic law. Our identity as an Islamic nuclear state should be the paramount of our foreign policy. In the modern history of Pakistan, as in the larger development of Islamic ideas, the relationship between religion and ideology is neither one of identity nor instrumentality. Rather, religion allows a cluster of ideas and associations to seek power around it - a constant reference-point offering salvation. The enemy of Pakistan (India, US, Israel) should know that our strong Pakistani Armed Forces with the support of her brave nation would never let them to fulfill their desire of further damaging Pakistan.
