Gone with the wind is an acclaimed expression known worldwide which very much fits in to our present situation but I at my own have added myself ‘removed from mind’ not only to give it rhythm and poetic touch to it but also to make it more striking so that if luckily someone from our power corridor reads it then he / she may be moved and resultantly takes some necessary action which is a must in a Click here to read Full Article

Did you understand which I didn't? How many more days our valiant Pakistanis are to be trapped under tons of mountain of snow in Siachen valley to be eligible to get Presidential award is my only simple and very straight question not only to our worthy President Asif Ali Zardari but to all of those who read these lines? With no reference to their status, mere fact that they are buried since long, Click here to read Full Article

Pakistan Observer writes in its issue of to day 12th April that Rawalpindi Traffic Police will take action against those who drive without number plates which is something completely unknown to me and I have not see any vehicle on road in Saudi Arabia where I worked during 1976-78 and in Kuwait where I am since 1978. I have not seen it so in different 17 countries I have visited so far. I am goin Click here to read Full Article

Excuse me if I am wrong as at least I have not read any condolence message in your esteemed newspaper ‘Pakistan Observer’ wherein President Zardari, PM Gilani and Army Chief Gen Kayani have issued any condolence message on the deaths of those who are buried under tons of snow for many days in any case. May be they are hopeful of finding the whole lot alive, I also wish so, and therefore there is Click here to read Full Article

I have no idea how much public money has been spent by our President Asif Ali Zardari who went with a big entourage wherein his son and two daughters were included along with interior minister Malik Rehman, Senators Naek and Babar and other officials for one day trip to Ajmer but to me and definitely for some others also the best news, if not the only good news, is that our renowned microbiologist Click here to read Full Article

For Zardari and Gen Kayani, if not annoying by Iqbal Hadi Zaidi

Before I pen even a letter what to talk of a word I must elucidate quite categorically that though it could be bitter for both of them to read me but nevertheless I am not writing anything at my own and instead quoting the ground realities so if they or anyone else feels annoyed then he or she should just put his or her hand on heart to feel its beat while reading me and I am sure such litmus test Click here to read Full Article

It is really very much heartening to read what Pakistan Observer of today Mon 9th April, 2012 wrote about Islamabad police wherein not only as many as 1,508 criminals have been arrested but also Rs 124.6 million have been recovered during the year. One must not forget that these figures relate to just one city only which I doubt even any province can claim alike. I wish that other provinces should Click here to read Full Article

It is 1615 hours my time and 1815 hours Pakistan time on Sunday 8th April, 2012 when I am writing second time on our avalanche tragedy which killed 135 soldiers early yesterday morning in Siachen and not a single survivor or for that matter even a dead body has been found though practically speaking two days (yesterday & today) have been spent on rescue operations without any tangible success and Click here to read Full Article
Avalanche tragedy as I see it by Iqbal Hadi Zaidi

This is very much horrifying from any angle either from human or national to know that whole lot of 135 men has been killed in just one shot without any recourse to escape by nature when Pakistan army camp has been hit hard in Siachin on Saturday 7th April, 2012. To the best of my knowledge and belief this is the worst possible tragedy we have experienced in this mountainous area though there had Click here to read Full Article

I am referring to your editorial captioned, ‘Zardari’s clear & loud message to Takht Lahore’ flashed today Saturday 7th April, 2012 in Pakistan Observer. I fully agree without any shadow of doubt with you on the point that president must not use street language which you have very rightly pointed out. He must upkeep the decorum attached to the office of head of state. Secondly he should not air ‘ Click here to read Full Article
Personifying our second line of leadership. by Iqbal Hadi Zaidi

It was not only too shocking but very much horrifying and traumatizing as well to read that some anti human people wanted to blow off none but parliament building on Saturday 31st March, 2012 when it was in session and being addressed by President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari. It must be mentioned that it is very much ceremonial occasion simply because in practice President does not address the Click here to read Full Article
