Anti-Pakistan?: Mischievous Video clippings on Swat By Dr. A R. Colachal

Mischief has been the characteristic feature of the globalizing western-minded world. Obviously, the anti-Islamic forces and their media re are thunder-struck at the Pakistan government’s decision to allow re-Islamization of Swat region and are working both behind and sideways to block the future of Swat and seem also are sworn to destabilize Islamizing Swat at any cost. Making a fictitious video clipping is not a difficult for them at all. And they are at it now trying to defame both Islam and Pakistan. However, no mischief can work against Islam and in the long time, Islamic world would reemerge stronger again.

At the very outset, it should be reiterated that the Swat flogging of a girl, no matter where it took place in Pakistan or India or USA or New Zealand or else where, was most condemnable and all efforts need to be made it is not  repeated. Obviously, this incident has done great damage to the image of Islam globally, especially when there is a hidden but stiff clash of civilizations- a fact denying which is to deny reality- between Islam and the West, and the clash is very intense, this one incident would have given Islam the image their enemies want to give it.

Today, media play destructive roles. Video clippings are generally an effective production of an idea by using all modern technology and Osama, therefore, is still shown as if he speaks to Al-Jazeera and Pentagon quickly talks about Islamic terrorism and India gives proof of Pakistan involvements in Indian state-cum-private terrorism. That is the power of today's audio-video productions. My voice once recorded can say any thing the specialist imagine. For instance, once recorded, my voice speaks as the tech specialist wants while I am in fact silent and unaware of what my mouth tells the global audience. That is magi power of modern technology, especially remote technology. So, the anti-Islamic forces and media cannot cut ice with the world about a possible bogus video clipping.  

The Commissioner of Swat has even cast doubts that this incident took place in Swat. Wherever it took place it was condemnable. True the releasing of the video so late after the incident is not without significance, and even if some foreign interests have coincided with the publicity of this incident. the Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry have done the commendable thing to take suo motu notice of the incident, the anti-Islamic forcesa t work around Pakistan have intended to tarnish the image of Islam and Pakistan n one go force Islamabad to take the Western or Indo- Hindutva route. Some have said that incident is a slur on Pakistan’s majority.

Both USA and India are bent upon destabilizing Pakistan possibly as part of their new nuclearism agreement. A video clipping produced by anti-Islamic forces have determinedly produced such video to defame the Islamization of Swat. And even those "Muslims" who consider themselves as the most modern, more than the western guys, have condemned the “mullahs" action in Swat. (The sworn anti-Islamic fanatic elements use the term "Mullah" to insult Muslims who support their religion). Some even question the legitimacy of right to punish. A few Muslims as usual try to appease India and USA by opposing Swat and " the action".

Some one asked rightly: where was the man who was supposed to have done the “crime”/ Why this mischief by the videographer-specialist? Has he or she not found a suitable image to fill that gape? The opponents of Islam seek the concession the Government had granted to Swat should end here and now, and not Islamization movement. By shedding crocodile tears for the image of Pakistan, they just want to put an end Islamic rule in Pakistan. But none seems to offer counsels on better paths towards real Islam and, consequently, 

Pakistan’s place in Islamc world is too great and important to be ignored by Pakistanis themselves and Islamabad stands next only to Saudi Arabia in its role to guide the Islamic world do shape Islamic way of life in the face of the impending danger form the anti-Islamic nations who have ganged up in various disguises to tarnish the image of Islam calling it a terrorist religion. They have successfully roped up a few Muslim journalists to advance their anti-Islamc agenda.

If, however, the video efforts have any positive functioning of Islamizing Swat and Pakistan, that would be a different story all together. Hopefully, the judiciary, having taken up the task now, would promote Islamic movement in Swat by positive guidelines, even if the video clippings are fabricated ones for special purpose. The judiciary should try to put an end to the speculations about the end of Islam or Islamic movement in Islamc nations. None seeks Islamization of USA, UK, Russia, France or New Zealand, Australia, India or Israel, but Swat is an Islamic region within an Islamic nation Pakistan.

The anti-Islamic campaigns through mischievous means must end.
