Pakistan should Save Muslims, not to Kill them for USA -  BY Dr. Abdul Ruff Colachal

By generating Islamophobia the anti-Islamic forces have used terror planks to terrorize torture and kill Muslims. So much so, the theme of terrorism and extremism has been retained to outstretch all other issues every where and USA is not in a mood to give up its dirty tactics. Under instruction and threats form USA the issue of extremism and terrorism is getting priority attention of the Pakistan Government as well and Pakistanis unaware of this entire American trivia in view of grave implications and wider dimensions of killing Muslims in Islamic Pakistan just to appease the masters enjoying hard whisky in Washington . Many states have claimed legitimacy in shelving more important socio-economic issues and so is Islamabad confronting the fall out of its terror actions. However, the authorities like Gilani don’t admit in strenuous killings of Muslims they have lost focus on other crucial and bigger issues with far-reaching consequences for the future of the Islamic country and its people.

A net result of all this is many wings of state administration, empowered by state killings, are not performing their job satisfactorily mainly because of lack of oversight and accountability. Mafias of all sorts are exploiting the situation to their advantage, adding to the miseries of the common man. There is absolutely no system of price control and consumers have been left at the mercy of greedy traders. Land mafia is active in almost every nook and corner of the country, heaps of garbage are seen here and there, condition of roads and streets is poor and jobless youth is forced to go for drugs or indulge in criminal activities. Then there are issues like building of water reservoirs that are vitally important for the future of the country and the industry needs stimulus packages.

The struggle in the north-western valley 80 miles from Islamabad and a former centre for tourism has become a test of Pakistan ’s resolve to prove its sincere commitment to establish an Islamic society by helping Taliban movement and its earnest resolve to fight a growing Americo-Indian menace in the region with drones hitting targets of innocent Muslims in Islamic Pakistan.

Tens of thousands of civilians have fled the fighting this week with hundreds of thousands already displaced by earlier battles between the government and Islamist militants. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees expressed his deep concern about the safety of people displaced by the fighting while the International Committee of the Red Cross said a humanitarian crisis was intensifying. Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari, in talks in Washington recently seems to have assured US President Barack Obama of Islamabad ’s commitment to defeating the so-called al-Qaeda and its allies. And Pakistani authorities said there was also ground action accompanied by air strikes in other parts of the Swat valley, and an important Taliban commander had been killed the previous day.

Pakistani Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani vowed on 07 May to "eliminate militants and terrorists" from Swat, a bastion of Taleban rule. A full-scale offensive had begun on Friday, with helicopter gunships blasting militant strongholds from the air and troops conducting operations on the ground. Despite now abandoned attempts to secure a peace deal in and around Swat, the area - close to the border with Afghanistan - has long been riven with tensions. The UN estimates that before the current crisis, some 550,000 people had been displaced since last August, said UNHCR spokesman Ron Redmond, according to Associated Press news agency.

A Pakistani state offensive against Taliban movement in the Swat Valley has displaced some 200,000 people recently, the UN says. The UN's refugee agency UNHCR said Added to the more than another 300,000 were already on the move or about to flee. The UN says this threatened to create one of the world's biggest displacement crises. Pakistani spokesman Gen Athar Abbas said the government had taken measures to provide for the civilians fleeing. Reports suggest some civilians are being prevented from leaving militant-held areas. Those displaced over recent days have been forced to flee with very little preparation, aid workers say.. They say families were often separated as they fled, and doctors in displaced camps report many are suffering psychological trauma. Gen Abbas confirmed that the military's objective in this now fully fledged offensive was to eliminate militants from the Swat Valley and some surrounding districts.

US-led GSTs (Global State Terrorists) have been ill-focused on Islamic world and way of life as a threat to their own fundamentalist ideas of fanaticism. The rise of Islamization movement in Islamic Pakistan has annoyed the anti-Islamic forces in outside Pakistan , especially the beneficiaries like USA , UK , Israel and India .

The anti-Islamic network and their sponsor nations led by the USA-UK are gravely concerned about the backlash from the Islamic forces when they make Pakistan an Islamic nation. But then America is always America and it knows how to appease those who oppose them. They have done it with Russia , China , India and many others, recently in South America . However, they now urgently want the Zardari regime to kill as many Muslims as they could in a short span of time by engineering provocative actions against them.

The western media report about Pakistan trying to 'eliminate terrorists' is not a bad news if the operation involves the elimination of all state terrorists including from outside. Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani said the “militants” were trying to hold the country hostage at gunpoint. The Islamic forces have full support for their purely Islamic agenda in areas even closer to Islamabad , such as Swat, which raised concern about the stability of nuclear-armed Pakistan .

After months of wavering, the Pakistani government 15 April 2009 has finally approved a law that will enforce the Sharia justice system in its troubled north-western district of Swat. But the contours of that law are still not clear, sparking fears that differences over the details may yet again derail peace in this once popular tourist resort. Many in Pakistan and in the West are generally skeptical about Pakistan finally allowing Islamization of the nation especially it policies are influenced heavily by the anti-Islamic nations led by the USA . America says it doubts the Taleban's intentions of respecting human rights, as if US terror forces are respecting human rights in Iraq , Afghanistan and Pakistan . USA has been pressing for disarming no-state terrorists while promoting state terrorism in Pakistan . As the Taleban's demand of Sharia law has been met, the “militants” will have to quickly lay down their arms and go home leaving the field open to foreign state terrorists to manage.

Many believe the Taleban have negotiated peace from a position of strength, and would be reluctant to give up their military advantage in the area until Islamization is fully established in the region with Islamabad ’s support. Since the middle of 2007, the militants have gradually consolidated their hold over Swat, located in the northern parts of North West Frontier Province (NWFP) with the sole purpose of Islamizing Pakistan. An on-off military operation ordered in the autumn of 2007 stumbled to a halt in February 2009 after Taleban obtained complete influence over the region. The fighting was brought to an end when Sufi Mohammad, whose son has been killed 08 May by the forces, agreed to negotiate peace.

The peace deal was a tactic form the government to silence the movement and do away with the movement and Islamization in due course. That explains why the questions about a timeframe for the exit of the army from Swat, and the role of the police and local administration, also remain largely unexplained. USA is unnecessarily spoiling the peace deal by pressing for disarming of the movement while they resist fearing US-Pakistani onslaught at moment. It has already happened and many of them have been killed.  Aftab Sherpao, a former chief minister of NWFP who first introduced Islamic courts in Swat in 1994, says success will take time and Swat should let to get back to normal.

President Zardari should concentrate on popular issues concerning the basic life of common men rather than the American ones. He must make use of expertise an experience of premier and chief-ministers in Pakistan life and Islamic culture. The Prime Minister and the Chief Ministers should also find time to concentrate on these issues on their own as well because frustrated people could fall prey to propaganda of media fueled by the West and India . Pakistan has a population of 160 million and, there are serious issues of health, education, poverty, backwardness, price hike, energy, water and joblessness that would become monster if proper attention was not paid to address them squarely. But the Government has huge machinery and a host of ministries, departments and organizations to prepare pro-people policies and implement them.

The Islamic “militants’ are well-motivated and Islamization of Pakistan remains the cardinal goal for them. The government is “confident” it has public support for its military campaign - but this could easily be eroded if civilian casualties mount. Pakistani leadership as well as the Washington leaders know the Islamization movement has mass base and support and any misadventure in the form of GST, though might look impressive to announce quick victory, as the Bush regime did in Iraq and Afghanistan , but ultimately the Movement will emerge victorious. After all they are fighting for Islamization of Pakistan and not the USA or India .

USA and its anti-Islamic allies must realize at least now that terrorism planks are already outdated and they now should rediscover humanity to save humanity from disasters, both natural and imperialist. Pakistan must make fullest use of the pro-Islamic situation emerging in Swat, in stead of trying to eliminate the opportunity made available to the people of Islamic Pakistan to turn to Islamization from terrorism plank employed so far to target Islam, Muslims and their nations.
