Terrorism in Pakistan

In June 2014, The Pakistan military decided to eliminate the terrorism that has given Pakistan a strong set back in many deadly attacks in recent years. From the day of launch, Zarb-e-Azb operation in North Waziristan Agency is progressing with success. More than 1000 terrorists, have been killed, and many of militant hideouts have been destroyed.

The beautiful mountains, of North Waziristan, the area of tourists has been under control of TTP, but as long as the operation started, Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force have cleared many of the major areas from the influence of terrorists. ISPR recently proclaimed that the military has confiscate complete management of major cities of Miranshah, Mirali, Dattakhel, Boya and Degan, that were under TTP’s control.

But the Question is, crushing TTP is not the only solution. TTP is a Tehreek, crushing Tehreek will not make any difference, unless the specific mind-set that is behind TTP is crushed. Terrorism will be eliminated, if that school of thought is eliminated that is bringing up those minds. If efforts aren’t created to return up with a definite and clear-cut policy to de-radicalize and get rid of the causes of terrorism, any gains created by the operation are lost. Illegal teams, Madrissa’s, jamats, still receive grants from the government beneath financial aid. So as to eliminate the roots of act of terrorism, these teams should be banned from preaching of emotion and violence against state. There should be some check and balance about these Deeni Madrissa’s, and they should be monitored so as to spot their finance and to make sure that they’re not promoting act of terrorism. If not properly monitored, their activities, which had already prevailed like Cancer in Pakistan, making Pakistan a third world country. But There are also madrissa’s that are not supporting Terrorism, infact they are doing good for Islam and Pakistan, but their number is very low, as compared to those who are promoting violence. The need is to discriminate between the black and white, and to recognize who is doing harm to Pakistan.

 In Pakistan, the major reasons why these Madrissa’s and such Jamat’s are flourished are political instability, social injustice and illiteracy.  The main reason is illiteracy. Being uneducated is the worst form of terrorism, because the age group which is heavily mis-guided by these madrissa’s and Jamat is of 15-25. That is the age, teen age, when people donot have sense to realize the importance of education and importance of the lives, that are lost in Terrorist activities.  If people are given enough education, and they are provided with quality environment, it might prevent the teenagers from getting involved in such activities, promoting education will definitely decrease the terrorism.  This cannot be done by Government only, we all have to work together to promote education and eliminate terrorism.
