Yesterday Monday 9th July, 2012 National Assembly while in session to hurriedly pass the bill on contempt of court has also very much surprisingly passed 21st Constitutional Amendment bill increasing pension of widows of the judges of Supreme Court and High Court from present 50% to 75%. The ruling elite maintains that the parliament is supreme, can legislate any law, amend the constitution or decide whatever it likes – be it the acceptability of Dual Nationality or the status of a contemnor of the of a Court.
